Since joining in October 2024, the nursery has continued to provide an excellent level of care for our daughter. The staff, the activities, the nutritious meals and environment have been what has made the transition to nursery life so easy. The app used to communicate is great and it is so lovely to get regular updates throughout the day. We really couldn't be happier with The Old Barn, it truly feels like home from home. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the nursery to anyone!!

Our experience at the Old Barn Nursery has been fantastic. The staff are so kind, thoughtful and always inform us on how our child's day has gone. I would 100% recommend this nursery to others. If I had to state some form of "negative" or constructive feedback it would be that when painting or doing crafts they do not wear paint shirts to avoid getting clothes ruined. This becomes costly and time consuming as the paint doesn't just wash out with ease. So if this could be actioned OR if parents could be advised to provide paint shirts than we 100% would. This seems a common theme for a lot of nurseries though, as when speaking to friends and family with children at nursery, clothes getting ruined by paint seems standard. Other than that, I love how creative my child can be at nursery and my child is absolutely thriving.

Our daughter has been attending Old Barn since August 2025 and so far the care she has received has been excellent. Staff in the Roosters room are always friendly and give good, honest feedback about how our daughter has been. She struggled to settle at first, but her key worker and staff in the room have been amazing at helping her to settle in and now she goes in happily, and is always playing and smiley when we collect at the end of the day. Lots of excellent experiences available, and even though our daughter has only been there a short time she has already been taken out to the local park twice and out for a walk in the local area. Good communication via the app, and lots of healthy food choices on the menu.

We have been sending our daughter to The Barn now for about a year and cannot recommend them enough. She was 9 months old when she started & never once has she cried at drop off. She always seems so excited to go to nursery & waits at the door so eagerly to go in! The staff are so lovely, really making you feel assured that they're looking after her like one of their own. Her key worker (Beth) is absolutely amazing with her & can clearly see what a lovely bond our daughter has with her, along with the other staff members also. She has advanced so much since going to nursery & it's amazing to see her progressing. I really appreciate the updates on the app, it's wonderful to see what she's been up to throughout the day! Thank you to all at The Barn!

The Old Barn has been amazing! My little one settled in so quickly, which says a lot about how lovely and welcoming the team are. Her key worker is absolutely fantastic, warm, patient, and really seems to understand her personality. It's clear she genuinely cares and takes time to help her grow in confidence and try new things. I love getting the updates and photos on the app, it's so nice seeing what they've been up to each day. They do such a great mix of activities too, from walks to the park to celebrating things like Diwali, there's always something fun and different going on. The food options are brilliant, with loads of variety, and everything's allergy-safe which gives real peace of mind. You can tell the staff really go the extra mile to make sure every child is happy, safe, and included. Couldn't recommend The Old Barn enough

Fantastic nursery, always helpful and kind staff. Our child loves attending and we know he will always be safe, looked after and happy. They have started taking the children out of the nursery for enrichment activities more often too, which is a real positive.

My son has been attending Old Barn Day Nursery for a little while now, and I honestly couldn't be happier with our experience. From the very first day, the team made us feel completely welcome and reassured - it was clear right away that they genuinely care about each child's happiness and development. The staff are so kind, patient, and attentive. They take the time to really get to know my son and what makes him comfortable. He has formed lovely bonds with the carers and always greets them with the biggest smile in the morning! It's amazing to see how confident and settled he's become in such a short space of time. The environment is clean, safe, and beautifully set up with age-appropriate toys and activities. Every day there's something new for him to explore - from sensory play and music to outdoor adventures. He comes home full of smiles (and usually quite tired from all the fun!). Communication with parents is excellent, too. I love getting updates and photos throughout.

A Wonderful Nursery with an Amazing Baby Room Team! We couldn't be happier with the care our little one receives at The Old Barn My 1-year-old attends three days a week, and from day one, we've felt completely at ease knowing they are in such loving, capable hands. A special shoutout to the Baby Room team-you are truly incredible! The care, patience, and attention you give each child doesn't go unnoticed. It's clear how much effort you all put into creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment. Our little one always comes home smiling (and often worn out from all the fun!), which speaks volumes. The communication is fantastic, and we love the updates, photos, and seeing how much our child is learning and growing every week. Thank you for all the hard work you do-it means the world to us! Highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a warm and welcoming place for their child to thrive.

My Grandchild went to this nursery for a short period only, due to the very poor care, there was a massive lack of trained staff to care for so many children, accidents went unnoticed and on some occasions unreported to the families. I personally noticed an injury to my grandchild from a photograph sent earlier in the day, my daughter questioned this when arriving to collect her child to be lied to until she showed them the photograph they sent earlier they then said they did not know how this had happened, my grandchild was left unattended on several occasions face down on the floor, alone with no interaction from others. The staff carried small babies around in twos one on each hip, the information given on collection was always different to the information recorded on the handover and they always just need to change the nappy on collection whatever the collection time was. There was no manager in post to speak to and no one called back when this was requested.

Me, my partner and my daughter have had a wonderful experience with this nursery. Both the baby room and the toddler room have a lovely and warm feel to them. The staff work so hard and have really looked after my 1 year old. At drop off they handle Our child with care and as a really anxious mum they keep me in the loop, take the time to talk to me about my worries and I even got lots of hugs of the staff in my first week when I was in tears at drop off. They have just the right amount of structure in the baby room for a 1 year old and they treat the children as individuals and adapt the structure where needed. I did choose to take my daughter out of nursery at this time - just because I have realised I am not ready for the separation and feel that we need more time. However the manager was very helpful and supportive when I made this decision. When my daughter is a little bigger and we feel ready as a family, we will not hesitate to re-register our child at this nursery.

My child has attended the nursery since September 2023. She always enjoyed going to the nursery and she has made a lot of friends. While in the nursery, she has developed her skills, especially in arts/drawing. The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming.

My child has attended the nursery since 2020, and throughout the duration of this time to now, I have continuously found the nursery and staff to be welcoming, warm and nurturing. My child has always enjoyed attending nursery and has thrived here, participating in a range of different activities and providing her with the opportunity to mix with other children and make friends. As a parent, I have always felt reassured by staff that my child is well cared for and that all of her needs have been continuously met. If any problems have ever arisen (extremely rarely), I have always felt comfortable voicing these, and my worries have always been listened to and acknowledged. I continue to feel happy with my child attending the nursery and look to enrol my other child at the nursery soon.

Our daughters have absolutely loved their time at the old barn and adore the girls who work there. Our eldest has been at school for 2 years but still talks about the old barn and how she misses all the staff. Our youngest will be going this September - we will be extremely sad to leave. The graduation party is always emotional and just, another example of the extra mile this nursery goes to, above and beyond their core hours. There are always creative playful setups made for the children, and the App keeps us updated with what they have been up to each day.

My daughter absolutely loves nursery! She goes to each of the ladies in her room happily and always enjoys playing and getting involved in all the activities. The food selection is great and she will always eat all of her food.

Since moving up to the Roosters Room, my son has developed in many ways. He is more social, he is confident around others and using his voice to communicate in many ways. He absolutely loves the staff and their kind, caring nature. He regularly talks about the staff at home and his experiences at the nursery. He particularly loves the lady in the mornings at breakfast because she is so excited to see him and welcomes him in. The staff know my son so well, and they appeal to his interests and needs always. The activities are fun and engaging, and my son loves the creativity they allow him to explore. The safety and safeguarding of the Old Barn and the children in its care are excellent. It would be really lovely if the Old Barn were able to take my son out of the barn more to experience the world around him with his caregivers and friends. It would also be nice if external visitors visited the children to offer their experiences. We would be willing to pay for these.

The Old Barn Day Nursery has been a really great nursery. It really is the lovely staff that make it possible. The girls are so caring and great with our son and it really makes me feel at ease knowing they look after him like their own. He has loved this nursery and I always feel like things are communicated well. The only downfall has been the invoicing, which we have had numerous issues with but hopefully, this has now been resolved. That aside, it's a great place with lovely staff.

It's a lovely facility, the staff are very welcoming and always have time to stop and chat with the parents. The children always seem happy when you walk into the room, with lots of stimulating activities and toys to keep them busy. Wouldn't send my child to any other nursery.

The nursery staff give great care for my child. She is happy when she goes in the mornings and as well positive and content when she goes home. She enjoys her time there. All the staff are wonderful and well trained to react in any situation, even in accidents and they give their best everyday. They helped a lot with her shyness, speech and potty training. Her keyworker identifies skills that could improve and keeps working with her. We love having access to the app and see how she goes with her day and see snapshots of her, however, there could be more information on what children have done during the day (either on the app or on pick up) so that parents can work on certain activities at home too.

My son has settled in brilliantly. The staff are caring, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. I feel confident when dropping my son off that he will be well cared for, looked after, and developmentally challenged.

My little boy has been attending The Old Barn Day Nursery and is absolutely loving his time there. He has built great relationships with both the staff and other children there and always comes back extremely happy. I am happy with the variety of activities done with the children.
