The Old Barn Day Nursery

My son has settled in brilliantly. The staff are caring, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. I feel confident when dropping my son off that he will be well cared for, looked after, and developmentally challenged.

My little boy has been attending The Old Barn Day Nursery and is absolutely loving his time there. He has built great relationships with both the staff and other children there and always comes back extremely happy. I am happy with the variety of activities done with the children.

His first year was spent entirely in lockdown so this was very much appreciated and his continued growth in their additional care was very much appreciated.

Brilliant nursery! Our daughter loves going here and they always make sure she is learning as well as having fun. Special mention to her key worker, we are so happy she returned to The Old Barn, she truly is amazing with children and makes our daughter feel very happy and settled at nursery! As are all the other girls, our daughter has a couple of other favourites. Updated throughout the day with images and notes on how her day is going through an app, which is really nice if you sometimes leave them in the morning unsettled.

Not only has my son developed some wonderful social skills, he eats better than I do. Though it would be much financially better if I kept him at home, I do not regret my decision to send him to The Old Barn Day Nursery.

Brilliant nursery that really cares, put thought into the day and makes us feel safe where our daughter is. We'd recommend them to anyone.

Our daughter has been going to the nursery for around 3 months now. She settled in so well and loves going, she seems disappointed when we go to pick her up sometimes. She has come on leaps and bounds in this time too. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. We get updates during the week of how she is doing and she always has a cheeky smile on her face!

We absolutely love The Old Barn because our daughter has the best time on her days there. We’ve had the experience is being in both rooms now and our daughter just thrives. The staff are so attentive and she thinks the world of them. Though I’m concerned there’s been a lot of staff changes of late. The only thing I would say negative, is the lack of parents' app updates now. We used to get them regularly and whilst I appreciate the care of the children is much more important than the worker spending time on an iPad. What would be really nice is a ‘this week we’ve done…’ so you can understand and see what your child has been up to, as some are still too little to tell you what they’ve done and you don’t want to spend ages at the door when collecting your child, as there is always a large queue of other parents waiting. This is not a criticism of the Old Barn as I believe this was a Head Office decision but it’s something that should have been taken into consideration. Thanks.

Our twins have been going to the Old Barn since 2019 and absolutely love it there. Can’t fault the care and compassion of the staff and the children always come home happy. Thanks for looking after them so well.

The Old Barn is, without doubt, the best choice for my boys that I ever made. The older two love their time there and are always keen to go and see their friends and the staff too. The staff are kind and caring and take a real interest in the boys and their development. The third is just about to start his time there but I know he will be well looked after and will also love it too. It makes my days at work easier knowing the boys are so happy and thriving in such a nurturing environment.

So pleased that we chose this nursery for my daughter. She has attended since she was a baby. She is cared for so well, always comes home having learned new things, speaks highly of the staff and is very happy there.

My son has been going to the Old Barn for some time now, and he really enjoys going. He gets so excited to come. The members of staff are fantastic and are always happy to help. My son has come a long way since starting nursery, his speech has come along amazingly and he shares so well. I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

Although I don't live in the Narborough area, I happily travel so my Son can attend The Old Barn. The staff are fantastic and the setting itself is wonderful. They provide a happy, safe and supportive environment that my son thoroughly enjoys, to the point where he doesn't want to leave some days.

This is a wonderful nursery that my son has been attending for the last twelve months and he absolutely loves it. We loved the natural setting of The Old Barn Day Nursery with its wooden beams and lots of wooden and sustainable toys to play with. The outdoor space has recently had an upgrade and is much enjoyed by our son. He adores his carers, chatting about them every time he comes back from nursery and the staff are all brilliant. They really are like a second family to our little one and are very supportive and proud of him when he's able to master a new skill, which is really lovely! He always eats well there and even naps pretty well too, which I didn't expect at all before he started! We get regular updates on how our son is enjoying his day and how he's progressing, which I love to read about and of course, this really helps to settle the nerves when they first start. I recommend this nursery without hesitation.

My son started attending the nursery in August last year. I was very apprehensive about leaving him especially during the Covid-19 pandemic but all of the staff couldn’t have done more to make sure my son felt safe, happy and kept me fully informed of his progress. My son now absolutely loves going to nursery and it has really helped to aid his emotional, social and language development. I love the updates we get throughout the day, letting us know how he is getting on and I really appreciate it when the staff update me on the progress he’s making and the activities that he chooses to engage with. Also, the management staff are great at dealing with any queries we have and have been very supportive. I’d highly recommend anyone to send their child to this nursery.

All my children have been to The Old Barn Day Nursery. They have always been so happy going and felt that they have always been ready for school when they have finished at The Old Barn Day Nursery. The team do an amazing job! Thanks so much.

My little one started the nursery about a month ago and she's settled in really well. All the staff are amazing, so caring and just lovely. They are keeping us informed throughout the day about how my baby is as she still gets upset when I leave, not just here, she just has separation anxiety at the moment. They send a daily handover note about food, naps and nappies which is good. The food served seems to be nice, varied and nutritious. They have a little garden out the back for kids to play too. As my daughter hasn't been there for long I can't rate every single aspect but so far so good.

My daughter loves it here! She giggles and gets excited every time we pull up to the nursery! The staff are all so lovely and caring. I was apprehensive during the settling in sessions, especially during Covid-19 but the staff were so reassuring and I received regular updates. My little girl has really progressed since starting and I would highly recommend.

My baby has started at The Old Barn Day Nursery this year and we couldn’t be happier! Her whole life has been in lockdown so far, so we were unsure how she would adapt to being away from her parents and mixing with other adults and children, something she’s never been able to do! The staff have been so understanding and professional throughout her settling in sessions and since she started nursery. She loves going and has come on so much in such a short time. The parent app updates me of her day and communication from the nursery has been fabulous and very reassuring. Thank you for everything.
