Melton Mowbray Nursery School

My little boy has attended Melton Mowbray Nursery School since he was 6 months old and is now 20 months. A new under 2s room has recently opened for the older children in this age bracket, and it has transformed my sons nursery experience. The room is superb, perfect for his age, and he is always excited to attend. Staff are fantastic, caring, helpful and always organising great activities. I am overall extremely happy with the Melton Mowbray Nursery School and I would definitely recommend.

The nursery has been fantastic! My son adores all the staff and starts and ends every day with the biggest smile! Staff are very helpful with my own health conditions, making sure they are free to help get my son ready to go home. The enrichment activities and communication with parents is second to none and I'd highly recommend this nursery....in fact I do to any friends.

Lovely staff who made my son feel very welcome, with him starting mid-year and only for a few months. Clean, tidy and well managed. Would use it again if I needed a nursery. Would recommend it to friends and family.

Since our daughter has been here she has settled in really well and loves going to nursery. The staff are brilliant and friendly. There is always something fun and new for the children to be doing, making it enjoyable for them.

This nursery has been great for my little one she has improved so much with her speech and confidence. Nothing seems too difficult for them. The staff are always willing to help when needed and also greet the children even when not in the nursery, which is great.

I have 2 children who currently attend The Melton Mowbray Nursery school, and I am very happy with the care and attention both of my children receive whilst they are in nursery. It took a while for my children to settle in, but the staff members were very helpful, both in making my children feel welcome and offering different tips so that I could also help my children settle in. Every member of staff that I have had contact with has been lovely, and I feel that they are genuine in their care of my children. My eldest, in particular, has flourished whilst attending, and has grown in confidence massively.

The staff at the Melton Mowbray Nursery School are great. My daughter first started going to the nursery during the COVID period and having to give her to complete strangers was very scary - but the girls at the nursery were so supportive to my daughter and myself. She is now over a year in and loves it! She always has great interaction with other children and is able to express herself in her own way. The staff are supportive in ensuring that she has the best day when she is with them and they are always very thorough at handover to let us know what she has done that day.

My son absolutely loves nursery. He is so happy to be there and always happy when I pick him up. He has come on so well in the last 11 months since he has been going. I get regular updates via the parents' app and overall, I am very happy with everything.

Exceptional staff. Never had any issues and my children have had nothing but happy times at this nursery. The staff are lovely and tell me every time I've picked my children up what they've done and how they have eaten. They also upload information to the parents' app which shows you photos of the activities they have been doing.

Our little girl loves going to nursery and gets very excited when she sees it each day. Her confidence and learning have progressed so much since starting and she is always very happy when being dropped off and collected. She talks about her teacher, friends and particularly the outside and mud kitchen. The outside space is fantastic and we are very pleased to see how enthusiastic the setting are about encouraging outdoor activities.

All of the staff in the under 2 room are amazing. My daughter has progressed massively. Her key person is incredible and has a very strong bond with her. We couldn't have asked for a nicer friendlier team to work with our daughter.

My daughter has been attending since she was 10 months old. She is very happy here, she and we love all the staff, very friendly, happy and helpful. The staff put in a lot of work to keep our children safe, fed and happy.

A great setting with good amenities for the children, my little one is very settled here. Some excellent members of staff and can’t speak highly enough of the staff in the baby room. The communication could be improved between the owning company and parents/customers and more activity updates on the parent portal perhaps but overall, I am pleased with the service provided. Externally the nursery needs some TLC, both the building and the garden/outdoor space and there have been talks of improvements internally for a while which I’m yet to notice. The meals provided are varied however, some seem a little far fetched for the age ranges of children, in my opinion. Value for money, there was recently a price increase which was loosely justified by certain products being provided by the nursery moving forward, however, only a few benefit from this and I feel it has now become a more expensive nursery locally.

My little one absolutely loves it at The Melton Mowbray Nursery School. She is always happy to go and happy when I pick her up. The staff are lovely and I love the way they interact with the children. I viewed multiple nurseries before this one but the moment we walked through the door, both my husband and I instantly knew it was the one and we have not regretted it at all.

Wonderful nursery with engaging staff and interesting activities. Children are always happy and any issues are listened to and resolved. I particularly like the activities and the emphasis on learning through play.

Our son started this nursery beginning of April 2022 after moving from a different nursery as he was not happy there. Since coming to the Melton Mowbray Nursery School, he has gone back to the little boy he was before, confident and chatty, he is always excited about going to his "new school" as he calls it. Within a week of being there, he knows all the staff names, he runs to the door with excitement at drop-off in the mornings and then tells us about his day with such happiness on the way home. All the staff are friendly and they do different things each day, the food is great and varied. We would 100% recommend this nursery.

Fantastic service and always friendly professional staff. An absolute godsend. One member of staff has now looked after 2 of my children and I couldn't think of a better nursery. The food is also above standard and staff constantly update parents on their child's progress.

Our son settled in really well here, doing just two days a week and seems really happy . He always comes home happy and we're surprised at the new things he has started saying since moving up to the preschool room. The staff are lovely, friendly and approachable. Reporting on his progress aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage would be welcomed so we can understand where he is at and have some goals for his development. Other than that, I have recommended friends to bring their kids here, so overall we are happy.

My daughter loves it at nursery. The staff are amazing, they take excellent care of her and she is always excited to go and see her friends. Drop off and pick up, although weird at the moment, is managed really well and we always feel really well informed about what she gets up to day to day.

My two year old is currently at the nursery and he loves it. The staff are amazing at making him feel loved and secure whilst also helping him to develop. He has so much fun, they get up to loads of exciting activities from exploring the large garden to creating masterpieces. My daughter also attended the nursery a few years ago and has happy memories of her time there.
