Melton Mowbray Day Nursery provides high-quality Early Years education in a charming, renovated coach house. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (October 2023), the nursery offers large, well-equipped playrooms and dedicated garden spaces for each age group, including unique outdoor stables for managed risk play, art, and sand activities.

My two-year-old daughter is my second child to be going through the nursery, both starting as soon as they turned one. I could not be happier with the quality of care they have both received. The management and staff at the nursery are extremely friendly, caring and professional. The staff form really
lovely relationships with the children and I have always trusted them completely. I will always recommend the nursery to other parents.

My 3 and a half-year-old daughter has been attending Melton Mowbray Nursery since she was 10-months-old. They have been great with her throughout and particularly since she joined the pre-school. She always comes home with a smile on her face after lots of activities, crafts, games. She comes back each
week with something new she has learned.
Her brother is 18 months and despite only going 1 day a week, he now strolls in as soon as he sees the girls. They are fantastic with the kids and it makes them so comfortable.
I never worry about leaving either of them as I know the team will make sure I’m informed and will contact me if there are any issues.
I cannot recommend enough.

My daughter has been attending for the past 10 plus months. In that time she enjoys it and looks forward to going. My only concern it seems to be getting a lot larger class sizes taking more and more children.

I've used this nursery since my eldest son joined about 6 years ago, I still currently use the nursery for my 4-year-old (who will be joining school in September) and I have just applied for a place for my 9-month-old for him to start just before he turns 1.
I love the nursery and everyone that works
there. Such friendly staff and they go above and beyond to look after the children.
All of my boys have so far been happy here and I can't wait to carry on using you for the foreseeable future.

We have been sending our children to the nursery since April 2015, our son (now at school) and daughter (moving up this year). We could not be happier with the facilities, choice of food, outdoor space, level of activity, and most importantly the care of the team who have spent over 40 hours a week
caring for our children over the last 5 years.
Our son left the nursery for school with confidence, creativity and eagerness for learning that has absolutely been instilled by the nursery. Our daughter still squeals with excitement when pulling onto the nursery driveway! The preparation she is getting in the pre-school is just fantastic. The genuine care that the team show with cuddles, hugs, affectionate nicknames and just knowing our children inside out has made us both, as full-time working parents, more than happy that we had chosen the right people, and place to nurture them before starting school.
I do not hesitate in highly recommending Melton Mowbray Nursery School.

Extremely good nursery. Have had both of my children attend since less than 1yr old and both absolutely love it. The staff are great with the kids, the nursery setting is lovely with loads of outdoor space, and they're really accommodating for dietary requirements which is a huge bonus. Definitely,

The nursery itself is a lovely size, the rooms the children are in, are spacious and have plenty of room to play comfortably in. The garden especially is a fantastic area, it’s very large and full of lots of toys for them to play with. The staff are very friendly and always welcome us when we arrive
and know all the children by name. The manager is very easy to talk to about any concerns, issues or problems you may have. I have no concerns when I leave my son there for the four days a week he attends. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery to a friend. Keep up the good work and keep your standards high.

This has been a fantastic nursery. My daughter has loved attending from the age of 9 months and will be leaving in August when she starts school. The staff are amazing and do so much to nurture and develop the children. My daughter has developed so many skills with the staff. The meals are all prepared
on site and fresh and varied. I can’t recommend the nursery enough.

My daughter absolutely loves this nursery and the staff there. She has formed a strong bond and trust with staff. I have noticed a massive change in her abilities and skills. I was very nervous about leaving her but now I feel very confident and reassured.

Absolutely amazing nursery managed and run by some incredible (and very patient) people. When picking my son up from nursery he is always full of smiles and excitement and when I am told what he has done for the day it is never the same thing over and over again so the nursery offers a fantastic variety
of tasks. The one thing myself and my wife have noticed is how far he has come with his talking and communication skills and credit goes to his key worker and the nursery. Due to my wife not working the same shifts each week the nursery cater to our needs incredibly well which removes a lot of stress and worry in whether he will be able to get into nursery for the day.

My son attends the Melton Mowbray Nursery school and I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to parents looking into nurseries in the local area.


I was so upset and worried at the thought of having to put my son into nursery full time and it was daunting having to look around at the different options,

especially with my son being my first child, I didn't know what to expect.


I can't fault the nursery, all the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They bend over backwards to ensure your child has the best possible experience whilst they are at nursery which is so reassuring for you as a parent.


You receive regular photos, updates and reports on how your child is developing which is lovely to see. You are always welcomed in the morning and staff remember your child's name so it feels a real personal experience. If your child develops food likes/dislikes, the cook will accommodate different options to ensure your child has a good meal experience.

Our daughter absolutely loves nursery, and all the carers are very good at stretching and challenging her. Unfortunately, we were put in a position by a different nursery, where we had to change our daughter's nursery very quickly, due to us feeling she was not being looked after how we would like.
Melton
Nursery were very accommodating and our Daughter has flourished thanks to them. The use of Tapestry is very well done, especially as all pictures and feedback is based solely on your child, rather than the whole days pictures, and you have to look through to find your child.
Our daughter enjoys structure, which means her day is usually set out the same. Although the nursery is very good, due to her age, they are aware sometimes plans have to change due to behaviour, sleep routine.
It is good for our daughter, she is in little rooms with the same leads, as this provides consistency which helps to build her confidence.
I have scored everything excellent, which I never do.
