Melton Mowbray Nursery School

My son has been coming here since he was 8 months old, and now he's about to leave for school! He's made some fantastic relationships with the staff and he always has a fun filled day. Always lots of different activities and a special focus on outdoor play time. We love the daily communication via the app and staff are always so supportive to parents when needed. We'll be very sad to leave!

Our son attends the nursery since he was 11 months old. We chose the nursery after it's been recommended to us by friends that also had their children attending. The transition was great, smooth, all staff have been supportive and helpful. He really enjoys all the activities. He learned a lot of things and develops beautiful skills. It's warm and cozy environment. I would definitely recommend.

My little boy has been attending the Melton Mowbray Nursery School since August 2021 and in this time he as learnt invaluable social skills as well as starting to develop his knowledge in literacy and numeracy and he is in a great place coming up to starting school in September. The staff at the school are attentive, kind and supportive and the managerial staff are excellent especially when dealing with any queries or changes needed and they are very accommodating to the different needs of families. My partner and I love using the app to see what activities our son has been up to as well as what he has eaten, if he has had any naps etc which is updated multiple times throughout the day. We also love the variety of activities available including forest school, make and bake as well as the facilities on offer. It is also clear that welfare and safeguarding is a priority of the nursery which is very important to us as parents and we couldn't recommend Melton Mowbray enough.

My little girl started nursery attending 3 days a week and as expected some days are harder than others and I had a difficult time more than she did alot of the time. But the ladies at Melton pulled together and really looked after us. They make sure to contact me regularly and keep me up to date. They are attentive and I can see my little likes them whenever I drop her off. She also seems to be learning lots which is lovely to see. I am so grateful to you all, a big thanks to 6 members of staff for the support and for taking care of the most important person in life.

We’re very happy with Melton Mowbray Nursery School so far. Our child has been in baby robins for four weeks now and he has already changed so much. He is still tearful when we drop him off in the morning but the ladies in the room soon cheer him up and get him playing and interacting with the other children. We have had regular updates with his progress which, as working parents, is invaluable. He sleeps far better for us at night, as they have his nap times down to a fine art. The food is clearly a hit as he rarely refuses anything and we love being able to see what he’s had each day to cater better for him at the weekend. We’re very happy with our choice for little man and can’t wait to see how much more he learns and develops in the coming months.

Our daughter has been going to Melton Mowbray Day Nursery for roughly five months, two mornings a week and she absolutely loves it. The staff are friendly, efficient, polite and very caring. It’s a big thing for any parent leaving their babies with anyone else. All the staff have made it so much easier to do. Regular updates on the app are a great plus. We even know what she’s had for breakfast and lunch. I feel very safe knowing my daughter is here, being looked after by the amazing staff.

The outdoor space is the winning aspect of this nursery! So varied and large. Just love.

Both my children have enjoyed their time at this nursery. The setting is very welcoming and the staff are fantastic. They go above and beyond to provide my children with fantastic experiences whilst in their care.

They keep the app up to date throughout the day on how he is, we love getting the pictures of him through it. He's always so happy when we collect him.

My partner and I are very happy with the nursery and our child seems very settled and relaxed there. Communication is good and the staff are great!

Since starting here at 9 months she has made lots of friends and really enjoys going.

My daughter absolutely loves this nursery she talks about her teacher friends and particularly the activities that they have!

My son started the nursery around a year ago, he settled in straight away and had amazing relationships with staff who helped him daily. He has learnt so much since being at the nursery and his speech has really improved. All the staff have been brilliant at the nursery and made my son feel welcome in every room. The manager is also great at making sure any concerns are sorted and both parent and child are happy whilst at nursery which is great for reassurance!! Overall brilliant nursery and I am pleased we chose this one!

Would thoroughly recommend it - nothing is too much trouble to ask!

My daughter currently attends the Melton Mowbray Nursery School and has additional needs, we are so grateful for the love and support all the staff give her, she loves going and has special bonds with the staff members. They always make sure they provide developmental play opportunities all day and go the extra mile to ensure each child’s wishes and needs are met throughout their time there. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone seeking a supportive and caring learning environment for their child. All the staff including the manager are incredibly friendly and open and always ensure they take time to listen to and greet the parents as well as the children. The food they serve is fantastic and the facilities are newly refurbished whilst being very homely and perfectly adapted for young children. There is a variety of activities every day and I couldn’t ask for any more.

Other than that, management fab. Staff fab. Love the outside space.

The staff are amazing and so careful, so nice to leave my little one somewhere where you can see they really care about the children that go to them makes a huge difference, always looking at new ideas that the children can do and have a great outside space the children can use in good and bad weather.

Caring and friendly staff, clean and refreshed setting with recent renovations, exciting, creative and varied range of activities both indoors and outdoors. Accommodating to your family's needs and a decent food menu each week. Everyone is really helpful and I feel like our children are very well cared for!

My twins really enjoy nursery and love the staff. They have a wide range of activities and they always eat their food that is served. The meal times are a range of different meals and are all really healthy.

Outstanding nursery. My daughter loves coming everyday and adores the staff. Management are brilliant, always accommodating to my changing needs. Brilliant communication with parents. Fantastic food and such a variety.
