Melton Mowbray Nursery School

Excellent nursery setting. Our little one started their nursery journey at MMNS in the Baby Robins room (setting for the youngest children) and settled in brilliantly. The room staff have proven - in our eyes at least - to be warm, caring, supportive and most importantly, competent nursery practitioners. They have helped our baby grow and develop and regularly sent us updates of their adventures so we didn't feel left out. Whenever our baby had a bump or accident (they are crawling & learning to stand up, it's inevitable), they immediately let us know and filed a report, it gave us confidence that all would be in hand if anything more serious were to occur. Meal plans seem varied & our baby always ate well it seems. No experience of rooms for older children however.

From an admin point of view, nursery finances and funding hours are always confusing but generally the management team did a good job of answering any questions.

Updated with photos and messages throughout the day which offers so much reassurance to know your child is settled when you're not present. A wide variety of food/nutrition offered.

The staff are great and very caring. The staff take a genuine interest in every child, which is lovely to see. The activities they do are great, make and bake, forest school and walking trips. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who asks me. My son has come on in leaps and bounds since going, and I can feel calm that he is in safe hands.

Both my children have attended this nursery and it's been a really positive experience for us. The team are friendly and approachable, and they create a caring environment where the children feel comfortable and supported in their learning. The rooms and facilities are great too, always clean andwell maintained. The food is good as well, which is a big plus. I'd happily recommend to other parents.

Our son loves going to this nursery, he has made some special bonds with staff, always looks like he is enjoying himself,his development has really come on, staff are very friendly and informative on childs day.

I remember the first week my son started attending nursery at the Melton Mowbray Nursery, being his first ever nursery, he would normally cry when we leave him in the morning. This sometimes made myself and my wife feel a bit sad about it, but the nursery staff were ever ready to extend their support. I think the app also gave us some comfort knowing that we had some inkling about how he was coping. Going just a bit further on the app, I think it is still one of our favourite features of the nursery. Seeing pictures of him painting, going to the park or feeding animals would often warm our hearts. The staff are prompt to keep the app updated, foods, nappy changes and even when there are minor accidents.

We will recommend the nursery to anyone who wants a nursery that is caring, every ready to go the extra mile and where your kid is having fun.

We are absolutely thrilled with our choice of nursery. Our son has come along in leaps and bounds in not only his physical development but emotional and verbal as well. He is excited to go every day and loves to see the carers each morning. He was never in a 'shell' to begin with but he's definitely blossomed into a very confident little boy under their care. I recommend the nursery to everyone. They're so flexible and patient with any questions or potential adjustments we may need to make, nothing is too much trouble for them. We had a small incident that meant our little boy had a wound needing medical attention but there was an immediate investigation into what/where/why/how it happened and we were updated every step of the way.

The staff all know my son and can't say enough lovely things about him. They respond to challenges with curiousity and give me confidence at home that my boy is developing as he should and offering tools and games that we can do together to bond further. Would highly recommend.

Very flexible and amenable to my children's needs and my work schedule. They've helped my two year old settle in brilliantly after she had a tough time adjusting to my return to work. She loves nursery and asks when she gets to go back after we leave. The staff are very friendly and professional and seem to know the children really well. We also love the outdoor space and activities like forest school.

We're very glad to have such a friendly nursery so close to home.

Our eldest child has been attending Melton Mowbray Nursery School for almost a year and I am amazed at his development since starting. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. All members of staff I have dealt with/cared for my son have been incredible. They give us regular updates and always keep us in the loop with things. I am so so happy that I chose to send my son here - I never have any doubts about his care. I look forward to also sending my youngest child in the next few months :-)

Since starting here last year, our son has come on leaps and bounds thanks to the care, attention and love that everyone at the nursery has given him.

There's not a single member of staff that isn't kind, attentive and nurturing.

Its a shame that our son didn't start here sooner because they are absolutely fantastic and any child taken here will just thrive.

Staff are brilliant with children and parents.

As a mum I work full time hours and can sometimes feel guilty about not spending the time with my child and teaching her new things as much as I would like to. However nursery fills this void, she will come home with a different song to sing most weeks, have learnt something new every day, have a different piece of art or plant she has potted to bring home most weeks. Her confidence has grown so much too.

My son has been going here since he was 14months (now 3yo) and my daughter has just started at 10months old.. I feel confident leaving them knowing they're with such friendly and caring people! The staff clearly take an interest and develop real bonds with the kids. I love having the app so that I can check they're eating well and see photos of what they've been getting up to. The nursery has also recently brought in some amazing ideas such as free coffee for parents to take away after drop off and a used clothes rack to ensure clothes can get their full use and be passed on! Overall I'd definitely recommend the nursery and am very pleased I chose it

The daily updates are brilliant, showing meals, naps and all the fun activities they do - all shared in one place, which gives real peace of mind as a parent.

We are loving every aspect that the nursery has to offer, staff are extremely friendly and cater to all of the childrens needs individually and focus well on their developmental needs. Since joining the nursery, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds and i am excited to see her grow and develop even more with help from this nursery

My child has been attending the nursery since she was 10months old and is now 2yrs old and 5months she goes full time. She has made some lovely friends even at such a young age. She enjoys going to nursery often goes running in especially to her Key Support Worker. All the staff in the rooms that she has been in have been lovely and can clearly see my child is well looked after and cared for. When we pick her up always get a handover to say how her day has been including how she has eaten.

My son has been coming to this nursery since November, he was only 7 months old but he absolutely loves it! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Thank you all for making us feel at ease when he is in your care. Wouldn't want him to go anywhere else!

Great place all round. The staff are friendly and compassionate and they actives for the kids are varied and interesting. The level or care is great. The key people who care for my child are very supportive and helpful, they taken a genuine interest in the child's development.
