Great nursery where I had my 2 daughters over the last few years. Fabulous caring staff, well equipped and clean. Place where both my children found friendship and have learnt a lot. Highly recommended.

I have two boys due to start school in September (just turned 4) who have attended the setting since they were 18 months old.. from right back at the beginning, the nursery have been amazing!! The staff are lovely & have a close relationship with the children, the new manager is fantastic & nothing
is ever too much trouble.. along with quick responses on any queries.. the boys love going & have so much fun.. I know how sad they'll be to leave.. can't recommend enough!

My daughter started in April 2025 and even though it's only been a short time I've seen her progress massively. Her educators have been amazing with her and myself and she enjoys being there. I feel confident leaving her knowing she's in good hands.

My son joined the nursery in April 2025 and I absolutely cannot fault the nursery or the staff in any way.


We were made to feel incredibly welcome from our first visit and my little boy was so well cared for even from the first settling in sessions.


The range of activities, the care of the staff,

the amount and quality of the food that is offered is second to none! The app gives me lovely insight into his day too.


Developmentally I've already seen so many improvements in my little one. He's talking a lot more, he's far more adventurous with food and they've really worked so hard to get him drinking lots more water. It's been brilliant.


A complete relief for a mum reluctant to leave my baby in the care of strangers and incredibly reassuring that he's being cared for so well!

Could not speak highly enough of this nursery. As a very nervous mother of an only child being born in Covid I've suffered immensely with separation anxiety and choosing to put my daughter first to give her the best development was a very difficult decision for me. However after looking at various nursery's
busy bees Oakwood was the only choice. I was listened to and guided but most of all incredibly supported by all the staff. Special mention to the assistant centre director who not only has been an incredible support to my daughter but also myself. It has made the nursery experience a lot more calming and enjoyable than I could have imagined. All staff do not hesitate to comfort my daughter and myself if it's ever a bad day and don't hesitate to update me if I get nervous! I would recommend to every one busy bees Oakwood and everyone will be greatly missed when we leave to start school. I can only say thank you for going above and beyond for us.

My little one has been attending Busy Bees on Bishops Drive since September 2023, and we've had such a positive experience so far. The staff are absolutely wonderful-so loving, nurturing, and genuinely caring. They've gone above and beyond to make my little one feel safe, happy, and settled, and it
really shows in how excited he is to go in each day.


It's clear that the team put a lot of heart into what they do, and as a parent, that kind of support means everything. I'd definitely recommend this nursery to other parents looking for a warm, welcoming place for their child to grow and thrive.

My son has settled brilliantly over the past 6 weeks into nursery. The whole team took the time to support with transition from another nursery. He has good bonds with the staff that look after him and will talk about them/ his day at home. It is evident how well they know him and his interests already.
It has been a big relief to see him settle so well and quickly. It has reaffirmed I made the right decision to move him nursery closer to home. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the managers are always on hand to answer any questions or give advice. They have become a big part of our support network and make going to work easier knowing he is in the best place!

Busy Bees Bishops Drive have been crucial in helping my daughter to settle into nursery. The team are so caring and have really listened to my daughters needs and have implemented her interests within the room. The activities within the room are outstanding and you can see the progression she has made
in such a short period of time. The Bee Curious curriculum has been explained fully to me and I can see how this supports my daughter.

The staff have been welcoming from the start and have built a strong relationship with my daughter and know her so well from the day she started until now. We have good handovers and we know what she's been up to throughout the day- we love parent zone and love seeing what she is doing and what she

My daughter has been attending since she was 9 months and has moved through the nursery. We love how caring the staff are, they keep us up to date with the app using photo updates. Under twos keep us up date with what is going on at nursery.

Our child is always very happy at nursery and looks forward to going and playing with his friends. Every day we see the development in him and think nursery has given him a lot of confidence.
I do feel that since his key worker has moved on from the nursery, the level of updates and interaction has

My daughter loves coming to nursery. She has built some amazing relationships with both children and staff. Everyone is so friendly and can't do enough to help. They support us as parents as well as our daughter and we are always kept up to date with any changes and events. I know that my daughter is

My daughter finished Pre-School today in the Buzz room! She started just before her 1st Birthday upstairs in Bombos and has grown up through all of the rooms here. The team is amazing here they are kind, supportive, and fair in everything they do. My daughter built trust with all staff members, and
has learned many life skills and made so many friends too. I am so grateful to Everyone there including a very helpful manager, kitchen staff, and cleaners! I will miss them all but we are onto our next chapter. I could not recommend this place enough!

My son has been at Busy Bees Oakwood since he was 6 months old. I can not recommend this nursery enough.
Firstly they supported me in getting a routine together, which kept me sane and not sleep deprived ( I work full time) constantly giving me tips and advice for each next step I encountered.
I
can honestly say without Busy Bees Oakwood life would have been a little harder.
Most importantly my son has been consistently happy and content with all his nursery mummies. He is thriving developmentally and emotionally in pre-school.

My little boy attended this setting and I cannot thank of anything negative. The staff have been in the setting for years, they are passionate and you can tell their role as a key worker is important. They will send learning home to engage parents with their children's development. My little boy loved
coming and has made friendships he will continue with at school. Well done to the whole team and management team.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic. During the pandemic they have demonstrated hard work, they always keep us up to date with news and have recently introduced an app where I can see my child's progression and what she has been doing. yesterday they celebrated World Book Day and while waiting in the
queue it was wonderful to see all the children's excited faces as they saw what their friends were wearing. The nursery always ensures the children are happy. Keep up the good work.

We have been really pleased with the nursery! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our two daughters love it here and their development has really excelled. The way the staff have adjusted in the current Covid-19 times has been a credit to them, they have ensured that our children feel comfortable
and happy, whilst being kept as safe as possible. They have recently launched a new app which is fantastic, with updates throughout the day including meals, activities, photos and observations all populated. We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2025

I'm Chloe and I am the Centre Director at our Busy Bees Derby Oakwood Bishops Drive nursery.
Having completed my level 3 qualification, I have gained a wealth of experience in our Kings Heath nursery in Birmingham for 4 years from room manager, senior room manager, assistant centre director and now moving up to Centre Director here at Bishops Drive. Throughout my time at Kings Heath, I have supported the nursery and other nurseries in the area with a keen eye on quality and ensuring every child within our care has the best start in life.
I have a passion for ensuring environments are enabling and inviting, offering a range of learning opportunities to our children.
In my spare time I really enjoy going on walks and spending time with my family and friends.
I really look forward to welcoming you to our Bishops Drive nursery very soon!
