Having twins is hard work and can be very difficult at times and when I had to find a nursery for them when I went back to work I was filled with anxiety. That was until we visited busy bees on bishops drive. The staff instantly made us feel at ease, and cater to all of our boys needs. They are child led and follow routines that the boys have at home which has really helped them to feel settled. I can go to work at ease knowing the boys are safe, happy and will be well looked after. Everything from nutritious food to well planned activities in the room and then getting regular observations and updates on the app of what they have been up to throughout the week. Everything is well planned and thought of and all of the staff go above and beyond and are incredibly friendly and helpful. We are really glad we chose busy bees for our boys childcare .

We have been using busy bees for both our daughters' nursery. The staff are very friendly and look after the girls brilliantly.
If I were to highlight one area of improvement, it would be the staffing of the door for exit and entry. Sometimes it can be awkward not holding the door for other parents etc. That said, it hasnt been a big issue recently.

Thank you.

Our nursery has been like a second home for our daughter through ages 2-4. The staff are like family, showing so much compassion and personal interest. It is everything we wished for. Personal needs are considered and we have found staff always accommodate anything we ask such as collaborating to improve certain behaviours. Facilities are always kept spotless. The food menu is exceptional and our daughter often compliments it. Her education has always been ahead of our textbook recommendations. The class sizes have always felt Goldilocks zone for us: enough to socialise well with diverse groups but not so busy our daughter feels overwhelmed. There are regular themed events included for parents to join. They put great effort to host new play activities every week sometimes daily. The staff absolutely make the centre a special warm nursery they're so caring. The only downside we ever experienced was high staff turnover in one year but they managed it well and communicated regularly.

My daughter absolutely loves it at Busy Bee's and is always so happy when she's there.

The staff are beyond supportive, especially with her additional SEN needs, and they go above and beyond to make sure she feels safe, understood, and included.

All of the girls are genuinely lovely, caring, and approachable, and you can tell they truly care about the children. The nursery has been completely turned around since Chloe joined as Director - the difference is amazing and the atmosphere is now so positive and nurturing.

Phoebe gets excited to go every day, which says everything. I also love how creative they are with things like space-themed events and activities. They've even created a dedicated play area just for my daughter, which shows how accommodating and thoughtful they are.

This is by far the most friendly, supportive, and welcoming nursery we could have chosen. I couldn't recommend it more

My child has been attending Busy Bees Derby Oakwood on Bishops Drive for the past year, and the progress he has made has been incredible. He has become so well-behaved, confident, and independent, and he has learnt so many new things during his time there.
The staff are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children's development. They create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. The activities are thoughtful and engaging, and I've always felt well-informed about his day and his milestones.

I'm really grateful for the positive impact the nursery has had on him. I would highly recommend Busy Bees Derby Oakwood to any parent looking for a place where their child can grow, learn, and thrive.

B started busy bees back in September.
B has come on leaps and bounds since going to nursery. Learning actions/words and improving in his walking. Food served is varied and when reading what B has eaten I honestly cannot believe the variety.
He is now being interrogated into the next room as he has improved so much.
This is all thanks to his nursery workers when he first started.
B has settled in, he does first enter the room a little upset but the nursery workers know B very wel and no what to do to calm him down and for him to settle into his day.
Busy bees have been accommodating to the days which I need B to go to nursery and no issues for B to move from 3days to 2.

I honestly have no negatives towards nursery. B comes home happy which is the main outcome.

Since my child started at Busy Bee's in September, we have all felt really supported with his new journey. To begin with he took a bit of time to get settled in, but all the nursery workers, and particularly his key worker, have made a huge effort to help with this process.

As a first-time parent, I felt quite anxious about sending my child to nursery as I went back to work. It's a huge comfort to have regular updates on the app, where I can see when, what and how much my child has eaten, when his nappy has been changed, and regular updates and photos showing what he has been up to. Thank you to all the staff at Busy Bee's!

Chloe and Charlotte were amazing with looking around and the joining process, and admin/office stuff. Alll of the girls upstairs are amazing they have all been great with keeping me informed, smiling and being friendly.
Kirsty Jensons key worker is great and has good communication via the app & he adores Kelly too so we appreciate Kelly a lot in supporting Jenson as a familiar face :)
The app is great for keeping parents informed on changes and meals / sleeps.
With jensons extra needs Marie the senco has been fabulous with being totally new to the special needs sides of things she has been really good in advice and support and the nursery have been really accommodating with help and support there for his needs.

We have had no issues with the nursery at all.

My son started Nursery at 10 months old in May. He has developed in leaps and bounds. I felt very comfortable leaving him in the nursery's care. The staff make time to get to know what he likes, what things comfort him and had frequent conversations about developments and next steps so he could have similar encouragement both at home and in the nursery. He has friends in both the other children and staff and it's so lovely to see him go to interact when I drop him off and similarly how well he plays when I pick him up.
The environment is amazing, it's fun and all of the different activities that the staff set up really does help with his excitement to go to nursery every day and Stay and Play sessions are also appreciated so parents can participate in nursery activities for special occasions.

Busy Bees has really been the best decision for my son and I couldn't thank the staff more for everything they do.

My child has been at Busy Bees Derby Oakwood on Bishops Drive since the age of one, and from the start the staff have made me feel confident that he is well cared for. He has always been welcomed warmly, and it's clear how much care and support all the staff give him.

This shows on the way home when he excitedly talks about what he's been doing during the day and the things the staff tell me he has enjoyed.

My daughter has been attending the bishop's driver busy bees for nearly a year now and has absolutely thrived. This is the 3rd nursery that she has attended and by far the best. The staff are so lovely, my daughter has really bonded with her key worker and I can't be more grateful for how well she is looked after.

My child started in Bombos 1 in September, He was welcomed with open arms by all at the nursery. I couldn't believe that within a week or so, every staff member that I came across (even in other rooms and the chef) knew him by name and knew different little quirks about him. I cannot praise the staff enough for how well they do, how they manage to get my child to sleep in a room full of other children I will never know. (He is a major FOMO kid). Wouldn't dream of sending him anywhere else. I love the app so I can see what he's doing throughout the day, and the lovely observations of what he's been up to really make a difference.

My daughter Ava started busy bees on bishops drive in April 2025. At first I was very nervous to leave my daughter in there care as any parent would especiallya full day session. But after getting to know the staff by doing settle in sessions it gave me peace of mind, and for my daughter to get to know the staff making the transition easier all around. Since then I have seen my daughter thriving, she has made excellent progress from crawling, walking, feeding herself to now seing her language and many more skills progress each day she attends. The staff are amazing, very understanding, helpful, supportive and will help with what ever needs your child requires. I would recommend busy bees to anyone looking for child care. Best decision i made.

Busy bees has been an incredible nursery for my daughter. The care and attention given to her has encouraged my daughter to flourish in her developmental skills.
They ensure my child is dressed appropriately with regular nappy changes and ensure she is eating a varied and healthy diet.
All the staff are welcoming and compassionate to both parents/ carers and the children in their care.
My daughter gets excited for nursery and welcomes all the staff in a very trusting way. This trust has been bull made by the attitude of the staff.
The facilities are also good, daily activities are recorded and activities are reviewed and photographed on the app which is brilliant.

Staff take prompt action if your child is unwell or doesn't seem themselves and keep you informed either through calls or the app. I could not ask for a better nursery for my child and only have praise for the service they provide.
