The Orange Tree Day Nursery small unique nursery in a beautiful rural setting, provides a magical experience for children from 6 weeks to 5 years and out of school and holiday clubs for children to 12 years. The specialist baby suite is a warm and homely environment where highly skilled nursery nurses with you will nurture and cherish your baby. For older children the nursery is blessed with an amazing outdoor play area where children can freely explore, investigate, have fun and be physically challenged in the fresh air. Dance, age appropriate sport, gardening, cooking activities and languages are available to children. The cook prepares interesting fresh, nutritionally balanced meals daily. Being a child is about learning whilst having fun....!

This nursery rescued my eldest daughter from a terrible nursery experience and assisted me with our journey when we became a family of another girl. They then went on to help when we took on my niece as well. So as a busy working mum to three beautiful girls, it was extremely important to me that all
three girls were and are happy going to nursery. The staff are all amazing, the facilities are exceptional and honestly, you would be daft to not send your children here!

Our son requires one to one care whilst at the nursery. He is 100% tube fed via his gastrostomy peg. He requires several different medications. They have embraced his needs with ease and have tried to accommodate any last minute changes with regards to hospital appointments etc where possible. We also
have an older daughter attending the same nursery and has made her transition joining the nursery at the age of 3. Although she was happy at her previous nursery which she had been attending since the age of 10 months old, the nursery made this a painless, stress-free process for all of us. She has settled extremely well.
Our son was recently very poorly and had to be admitted to hospital for a while. When he returned, we were given a lovely gift for him and a beautiful heartfelt card made by the other children's hand prints.
We can't thank them enough for the time and energy they have had to invest in order for a little boy with such complex needs to be given the opportunity like any other child.

A fantastic nursery in a homely environment. The staff are well trained, caring and have loads of energy! Both my children have attended from 6 months old and have never been anything other than completely settled. The staff always take any concerns you may have about your child very seriously and are
quick to assess a situation and provide reassurance or put plans in place to improve it. The Orchard is the most amazing outdoor environment for children to play and learn and the chickens and rabbits as well as Barry the Bird are the icing on the cake! Top marks from us.

The Orange Tree Nursery is amazing. The girls that work there don't just look after the children but the parents too. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds before she started school. Now I use the nursery as an after school club as they collect her from school and feed and entertain her until I finish
work to collect her. I would highly recommend this nursery. If I do ever have another child I would put them in this nursery full time without a doubt. Lovely nursery layout and the workers are fantastic.

Overall really good nursery. Staff are always friendly. They must work hard to keep children entertained all day. The building is great and if the work they are carrying out is due to them being slightly more expensive than other nurseries, then it should be worth it.

Excellent nursery. My son loves his time here and I've even upped him an extra day when I'm not working. The girls make him feel at home and always welcome him with a smile as soon as he gets to the gates he runs in. I have recommended this nursery to several people and I couldn't rate it high enough.

Our 2-year-old has been going to the nursery since he was 6 months old. All the staff have been very helpful and attentive and our little star is certainly looked after very well. There have been days when it is a struggle to get him back from nursery (in a nice way!). His dietary requirements (vegetarian)
have been well catered for and he has come leaps and bounds in his overall development. There have been continued improvements to the care, playing facilities and the latest one being the large screens to assist in child's learning.
We get timely updates and the elog system introduced has made it really easy to see the wonderful journey our little star has undergone and will be continuing at the nursery.

Such a wonderful nursery - our child has been coming here since 12 months old and our second child will be coming here later this year. The nursery is light, bright and very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and professional and you feel confident that your child is in safe hands and being looked
after to the highest standard. The activities for the children are tailored according to age and are varied each day with lots of creative/messy play with an educational element in a lot of what they do. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My son loved Christmas time at The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Mickleover, they had so many different activities for him and special Christmas cards were also on offer for parents to buy which I thought was a wonderful idea. Special care and attention was taken and Santa came in with presents for the
children! My son was sent home with everything that he had made which I am able to put into his scrapbook! The staff are always lovely and attentive.

Really well thought out setting, great staff, good communication and overall lots and lots of happy looking children! My son has an engagement plan set out for him and I receive daily feedback and pictures so that I can feel part of his day. Lots of care and attention goes into their activities, food,
engagement and development. The outdoor spaces are lovely....I can't wait for my little one to be big enough to get out and about in their playground!

The nursery is in a great location and the staff put the surroundings to great use for the children. It has a great outdoor area where they have animals and lots of great activities for children to do. Also, the nursery is great working with the children on their individual needs and support each other.
One of the best nurseries I have viewed and been to with lovely staff and a great place for children to grow and learn.

My son has attended Orange Tree since August 2016 - he had just turned 1.
It was such a difficult time for myself leaving him and going back to work, however, I very quickly felt at ease leaving my son in their care.
The staff fully listen and take into account each child's personal needs and preferences
and follow the wishes of us parents to the letter.
I can't thank the staff here enough - without them, I simply wouldn't have emotionally felt able to return to work. My son has come on in leaps and bounds since he started here - he has picked up something new every day. He is growing into a very independent, happy little boy and I have Orange Tree to thank for their input.
He adores the staff and has formed close bonds with them. I also love how they always, without fail, take time away to tell you about your child's day in full detail when you collect them. My son now sometimes cries because he doesn't want to leave Nursery to come home!

Both my children attended from the age of 6 months through until starting school. They thrived from the relaxed nature of the nursery.
The staff were all brilliant, each having different skills, they were great at helping them settle in and encouraging them all the way through.
The surroundings are
amazing and all the children loved the orchard. The nursery seemed to improve facilities week in week out, with new toys and learning gadgets.
I loved the Orange Tree, mainly because I knew that while I was at work the boys would be having fun. They were so enthralled in what they were doing they wouldn't notice I was there to pick them up.
