Our son loves going to Alton Manor. The staff are fantastic and take the time to get to know each child and will always go above and beyond to help. My son always surprises me with the things he has learnt. They do lots of activities and the outdoor areas are ingenious as they have equipment that can be moved around so it is always new and exciting.

Our experience with Alton Manor in Belper has been nothing but very positive. We moved to the area from Ireland and were a bit worried as our son seemed very insecure at the time because of the sudden changes. The staff made everything possible to make our son feel welcome and part of the group. They always have plenty of staff in the room and he quickly learned the names of everyone. They serve quality meals that are cooked on-site and are very easy going with times, payments and administration which is a huge extra. Over the span of these two years, there were many improvements made to the building, the play areas and the toys. They seem to be always up to something interesting be it a new activity for the week, new songs, dances or plays, or a fire engine visiting. Overall, we quickly learned to trust the staff and we are convinced that he couldn't have spent his nursery years in better hands. I can only very strongly recommend choosing Alton Manor.

Since my daughter started Treetops Alton Manor in October 2018 her development has come on amazingly. If I mention nursery she always says her key person's name. She is always happy when I collect her and enjoys the lovely food! At a recent parents evening, I was so pleased to read about how she is progressing and I could really tell her key person knew her interests and knows my daughter as an individual. Thank you for all your hard work and care you give to my daughter and all the other children.

My daughter has been at Alton Manor since she was 13 months old and although she struggles with drop off I feel reassured that she settles quickly through their nurture and activities. They listen to my concerns and views and adapt accordingly. I know she enjoys nursery and they supply a range of activities, which have contributed to her progress in many areas. She enjoys her food, eats well and naps well. The staff are open, friendly and give verbal and written feedback daily which shows they truly know my little girl. We have only had issues with correct fees, which have taken longer to sort than they should have and in my opinion the under-floor heating is too hot.

My little boy started at Alton Manor at 16 weeks and he loves it. He smiles when he arrives and when I pick him up he's having fun.

He's well looked after by cheerful and caring staff. Well done all at Treetops Alton Manor, especially in Bear Cubs.

The nursery is a lovely learning environment and offers a variety of activities for the children to participate in. I have really noticed a difference in both of my sons since starting nursery, developing their social and communication skills.

Staff are friendly and approachable and they offer a good choice of lunch and tea for the children.

My daughter and I have always received a warm welcome. My daughter feels at ease there and appears more settled there compared to her to her other pre-school seating. She is over three and is government funded and if it was not for the government funding, then my daughter would be missing out because I would not be able to afford it. Thank you very much.

I have been so pleased with how my 18month old has settled into nursery. The staff are so friendly, open and show such warmth and care to my child. It is incredibly reassuring to know that he is in such capable hands. My child is really growing in confidence and has made fantastic progress during his time at Treetops.

My child joined Treetops in June and I couldn't be happier. The staff are welcoming and I feel he is well looked after. I believe he gets a lot out of coming to nursery and has benefitted from the social interaction and activities he does.

I like how the nursery is modern and purpose built, the rooms feel spacious and are light and airy. I've seen the older children's learning spaces and I look forward to my son's progression through them.

The team at Alton Manor have been a great support. It's hard for mums like me to leave baby, but the team has made it easier, providing updates during the day and daily diaries.
The team organise a varied calendar of activities and photos of baby enjoying themselves.

The baby room is a home from home space where my little one is happy and that's the most important thing to me.

Catherine Whittaker
Hello, my name is Catherine, and I am the Centre Director here at Belper Alton Manor.
I joined the Busy Bees Alton Manor family in 2019 where I started as our Senior Room Manager and have worked my way up through our Assistant Centre Director role, to now Centre Director. I have previous professional experience within the Early Years Sector, and I hold my BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies with Practitioner Status from the University of Derby.
Since joining the fantastic Alton Manor team, we have proudly achieved Team of the Year, Health and Safety Champion award and I was amazingly chosen as one of five delegates from Busy Bees UK to travel to Canada to work alongside educators and explore their educational frameworks. This experience was truly outstanding and one I will carry with me for a very long time.
I have a strong passion for delivering quality environments, education and care for all our lovely families and children to be able to access the best possible start in life.

The team at Alton Manor and myself welcome you to the centre and can’t wait to see you all very soon!
