Field House Day Nursery is a full-time day nursery in Kenilworth, offering a safe, caring and homely environment. With 30 places available for children aged six weeks to five years, children are supported individually and practitioners ensure each child’s time at the nursery is a happy one.

The nursery is filled with calming rooms that have been decorated in natural colours, each catering for different age groups. The outdoor play area provides children with the opportunity to develop through play and exploration.

I have been very happy with the Field House nursery since my daughter joined 4 months ago. Although there have been some staff changes (which seems to be common at any nursery) I'm always greeted by a happy and enthusiastic employee, and they quickly get up to speed with each of the children. It's
great to receive the daily updates and regular progress reports and I actually think the staff probably undersell the amazing work they do to help each child develop. I have seen huge strides forward in my daughter's development since she joined the nursery and she's always excited in the mornings when I tell her where we're going. Would definitely recommend Field House.

This setting was absolutely the right choice for my little one. He has come on leaps and bounds since coming to Field House and wouldn't be the confident, happy, chatty little boy he is today without the help and support of the friendly staff here.

My son attended Field House for a few months before we, unfortunately, had to withdraw him. I was very disappointed that we had to do this because he really loved his time there. He was happy every day when I picked him up. He particularly enjoyed the outside space that the nursery has, and I know that
this is one area the nursery had plans to develop, so it is likely to be even better in the future. There seemed to be quite a lot of different staff, but always some core people who were regularly there and they all seemed to know my son quite well, what he liked and didn't like etc. They knew how to comfort him when I dropped him off and he was a bit upset. Just before he left there was some renovation/building work and the team were making improvements to the space. I would definitely recommend Field House.

My daughter has settled in really well at nursery and this is largely due to the kind and helpful staff at Field House. The nursery is small but has everything needed to keep children entertained. My daughter seems happy there as do the other children I’ve seen at the nursery. The food provided is a
good quality and they do a wide range of activities, even for the much younger children. Overall we are very happy with the nursery so far.

My daughter started in September 2017 and so far we have been very pleased with our experience.


When my daughter was a bit fractious settling in, staff made extra efforts to provide activities she showed interest in - for example, they made up a sensory toy farm because she particularly liked the

farm animals.


Staff were good at providing comfort to my daughter when she was upset initially settling in. Staff always cuddled her and seemed to know good ways to calm her down.


The only downside thus far has been a lot of changes in staffing. However, management and long-term staff seem to have given thorough handovers to newer staff. I have never felt as if I was leaving my daughter with people who didn’t understand her individual needs. I feel the smaller setting allows a more personal service as even with the staff changes I still know everyone’s name!


My daughter is always happy being dropped off to nursery and is happy (and exhausted!) on collection. I’d recommend this nursery.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that Field House Day Nursery & Pre-school was the right choice for our son, he has had an amazing time at nursery – the setting has improved over the years thanks to the current staff and management.
 
I wish the setting luck and do hope that the numbers
increase as it is an exceptionally well-managed nursery. The quality of the informal learning is excellent, and I have no worries in regards to our son being school ready.
 
Thank you for the offer for us to return for a visit, we will certainly take the nursery up on the offer at some point between September and Christmas.
 
The parent forums were extremely useful, and the ethos of looking after the children with the support of the family was perfect for the period of time from baby to pre-schooler.
 
Thank you, Field House Day Nursery & Pre-school, for all you have done, for all the support, and for preparing our baby for school.
We will miss you all!

My son has been at this nursery for 2 years now. It's always been a friendly place for him to come. All the staff move rooms, therefore everyone knows each other. The food is and they always try to mix things to make it fun for the children.

Our daughter has very much enjoyed her time at nursery. She looks forward to her days at nursery and is always eager to go.
The staff support her and look after her well when she is at nursery and they are happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Our son started Field House in September 2016. He found it hard to settle initially and was always upset in the mornings; however the staff in the baby room have been caring, friendly, and encouraging, and he now loves it. They always seem to know the children well as individuals and provide activities
which they know will interest them.


One of the reasons we chose this nursery was the big outside space they have, as our son loves being outdoors. They take them outside, rain or shine, and our son has great fun with the tractors, mud kitchen and playing football.


Our son has really developed his skills and confidence since starting and we feel happy and confident leaving him in their care.

Our child started at Field House Nursery in January 2017 and we are both pleased with the decision we made to send him to this nursery. There were a number of settling in sessions available to us both to ease the transition to attending nursery. We are pleased with the level of care, particularly from
his key worker, but all the staff are kind and caring towards our child. They all know his name and greet him on a daily basis despite not directly looking after him. We feel confident in the care he is getting and have seen him develop in skills and confidence in just the 5 months he has been attending. We like the smaller more intimate setting of the nursery and all of the staff and management are approachable and reactive to any comments, feedback or concerns. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking to find a nursery in the Kenilworth area.

Field House is a lovely little nursery with kind and caring staff, great facilities and a lovely outdoor area. The staff continually go above and beyond to provide a great environment for children to learn and play whilst feeling safe and well cared for. Extra activities such as football classes, add
extra interest and staff work hard to create extra opportunities such as a party for all the children and a tea party and crown making for the Queen's birthday. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent looking for quality childcare.

My child has been at Field House Day Nursery since Jan 16 following a move from the previous nursery. She has been made to feel very welcome and has settled really well. The staff are friendly and very approachable. She is very positive about the staff who looked after her. There is a wide variety of
meals/snacks which seem to be enjoyed. On the whole, it's a great place for the kids to be.

My son loves going to nursery and even when he's having a grumpy day the team always manage to cheer him up. We've just received our first end of term report and it is so nice to know that the staff there really know him. It gives me confidence as a mother to leave him in their care.
Improvements that
have been done at this nursery will surely pay dividence as it is such a lovely environment for children to play and learn in.

Since new management there has been loads of investment, all new toys , far more 'imagination' toys such as wood bricks and tubes and wheels in the preschool area for my son. He loves it there and comes home with all sorts of stories! We have loads of communication from the staff which makes me feel
glad they are open and I feel included.

My name is Jade and I’m the Nursery Manager here at Field House.


I started my childcare career in London, where I nannied for families in Central London. Since relocating to Warwickshire, I have worked at Tommies Childcare for more than five years. During my time at Tommies Childcare and Field House Day Nursery, I have progressed from the role of Nursery Practitioner to Nursery Manager.


In my time so far at Field House, I have become part of a warm and experienced team, and through parent partnerships, we have created an inviting and homely experience for the children in our care.

I’m Emma and I am proud to be Deputy Manager here at Field House Day Nursery.


I started out my childcare career just over 15 years ago by training as an apprentice in a preschool. Over the years, I’ve worked my way up from an Apprentice to Deputy Manager, working in various supervisory roles along the way. I’ve been here at Field House for nearly 2 years, starting initially in a Third in Charge role before recently being given the opportunity to step up as the nursery’s Deputy Manager.


I know first-hand what it is like as a parent to choose a nursery. I had my first child in September 2020 and felt many of the same things that all parents feel when it is time to return to work.
