Field House Day Nursery is a full-time day nursery in Kenilworth, offering a safe, caring and homely environment. With 30 places available for children aged six weeks to five years, children are supported individually and practitioners ensure each child’s time at the nursery is a happy one.

The nursery is filled with calming rooms that have been decorated in natural colours, each catering for different age groups. The outdoor play area provides children with the opportunity to develop through play and exploration.

Field House Day Nursery is part of the Tommies Childcare family, whose professional team prides itself on creating warm, vibrant and interactive environments where children can flourish both socially and emotionally. Established in 1998, Tommies is a family run childcare provider, putting children at the heart of everything they do.

We are really pleased with the progress our little boy has made since starting. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with any questions. Facilities for the children are lovely. Would definitely recommend.

The staff at Field House have been looking after our children for the past 4 years - with only our youngest now left there. She loves attending and playing with the other children and staff and we never have a problem with her at drop-off. The staff have always kept us informed about our children's
progress at pick-ups, via their parent app and monthly updates. The staff are all friendly and approachable and I feel they really have the best interests of the children at heart.


Moreover, my son who left in September has gone to school with all the skills he needed to settle right in (dressing himself, lunch self-service, etc), and thanks to the Field House staff, he was one of the few who was able to consistently write his name correctly, write all the letters of the alphabet, and know his numbers. As a result, he is doing fantastically at school. The facilities at Field House are really amazing with a great outdoor space and an intimate indoor environment. Would highly recommend it.

The nursery is full of friendly staff who care really well for my daughter. She loves spending time here and it is great for her development. She is full time at the nursery and transitioned from being at home full time to nursery full time with no issues - testament to the quality of care.

Field House is a wonderful nursery setting and the staff are brilliant. My eldest attended Field House, she is now at school, and my youngest has been at Field House for the last 18 months. My son enjoys every day he attends and the staff are excellent at communicating the wide variety of activities
he does each day. My son has built great relationships with the staff and other children. The staff also run great initiatives, such as monthly newsletters, charity events and potty training kits, which is fantastic. The staff at Field House have really made our nursery experience a positive one for our family. Thank you.

The girls at Field House have been amazing with my son. We were a bit nervous leaving our child with people who aren’t his parents at first but from the get-go, the Manager made us feel welcome and at ease. All the staff are amazing with him, he loves them and that makes us happy.

Absolutely fabulous nursery. Full of fun and lots of opportunities for indoor and outdoor play. Staff are exceptionally kind, caring and friendly. They truly care about getting to know the children as individuals. A fun, caring and exciting environment for little ones. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent nursery excellent staff! My son went from crying at the 1st few drop-offs to shutting the door on me. I take that as he loves it. He loves being outside and the staff take them out no matter what the weather is like. I know my child and I know when he's happy like every other parent. He's

I can’t praise Field House Day Nursery enough. We immediately knew this nursery was the one for us and 15 months later I can’t believe how lucky we have been. The staff are fantastic and the facilities wonderful. Our little boy absolutely loves attending and is so happy each morning when we drop him
off. He really loves the staff and it’s an absolute pleasure watching him learn and grow.
Our son suffers from food allergies and they have handled it wonderfully, supporting with the various “food ladders” and keeping us well informed throughout. Their communication, in general, is top-notch; they always make time to talk/discuss any questions we have and we love receiving their updates throughout the day. The new management team have made the environment even better and they made our return from lockdown very easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Field House to any prospective parent and can’t emphasise enough how special the place is.

This is my first experience settling a baby into the nursery, and the whole team have made it so much easier for my little boy and me. They are constantly updating me via the app on how he is doing and encourage me to call whenever to check in and put my mind at rest. We are now at the end of week 2,
and he really enjoys going to nursery, and I am totally confident he is in very capable and caring hands. I can see how he has built up a relationship with his key worker already, which is a testament to her caring nature. Any issues we have had as part of his settling in (sleep), the team have positively partnered with us to resolve. The facilities are great, particularly the outdoor space. I couldn’t recommend it more.

My 3-year-old daughter has been coming to Field House since just before she turned 1. I have nothing but positive experiences with them. Particularly with the pandemic, my daughter always loved going but after being home with me for 12 weeks she seemed to suffer separation anxiety on her return. The
ladies have been nothing but supportive and honestly amazing at settling her back in. We have our happy little girl back who proudly and excitingly goes into nursery every morning. My daughter absolutely adores the whole team at nursery, and we as parents could not be happier or more grateful. Not only this but the vast amount of activities they do with her, the fantastic food and the lovely bonds they have, make it so much easier for us knowing they are having so much fun all day.

My daughter attended Field House Nursery from January to September 2020 and we were thrilled with the care and education she received while attending. Even during the lockdown period, while attending another of the Tommies settings, we received daily updates and observations detailing her progress.
The new team within Field House have been caring and attentive to my daughter and we know she was well cared for. She was provided a varied and healthy menu for lunch and tea, which she ate very well. There was a rolling snack time available, which we are sure she took advantage of and water available to her at all times.
Our daughter is very much an outdoor child and this was used as a focus for her learning. We had many observations where activities were taken into their beautiful garden, so the staff could follow her interests but also provide her new learning opportunities and challenges.
I would like to thank the team for their hard work and would highly recommend the nursery.

Our two boys (3 and 16 months) have been attending Field House Day Nursery for the last couple of months. They settled in extremely quickly and it was good to know that they could have as many settling in sessions as they needed.
They are both always very happy to get into nursery, some days without
even a backward glance! Our eldest absolutely loves playing out in the spacious garden and it’s great to receive daily updates on the ParentZone app with photos of him beaming and having fun with his new friends! The app is great too as we know exactly what our youngest has been up to and his food, sleep and nappy changes.
The staff are always very friendly and caring and our boys have already built lovely relationships with them. We would definitely recommend Field House Day Nursery to other parents!

My daughter started at Field House Day Nursery in August, after not seeing many other people, and especially few other children, because of the national lockdowns. Because of this, I was slightly apprehensive as to how she would cope in a new environment, with lots of new people and seeing less of me.
Despite my concerns, the Manager and the Deputy Manager and the whole Field House team made me feel both confident and reassured, regularly updating me on my daughter's progress and how she was on a daily basis. After only a few weeks attending Field House, my daughter is happy to leave me in the morning and always seems to have had a great day upon pick up. She gets to participate in new activities, spends time with other children of her age, eats new foods and loves the garden space. I always feel completely at ease after leaving my daughter in the morning, confident that the team are professional and able to manage her needs. I would certainly recommend the nursery to others.

Excellence from the drop off in the morning to the pick up in the evening.
Our daughter has been attending Field House for a little while now and my wife and I cannot say enough about the nursery and the staff working there. Every staff member gives a warm, friendly smile when you reach the front door
and our daughter settled in without a problem. There is so much for our daughter to do at the nursery. The resources are of excellent quality and the way they are laid out promotes intrigue and learning. They are at differing heights to promote movement and the tasks are also varied to prevent boredom and train different skills.
Absolutely stunning menu which caters for all diet types. It is great that there is opportunity for our daughter to eat independently, but also an option to provide assistance should this be required.
The new layout and design at the nursery has made the garden so much more accessible, and what a garden it is.

We currently send both our children to Field House: they both started when they were 13 months old, with our 4-year-old son just about to leave for Reception and our 2 1/2 year daughter still there.
We are really pleased with the standard of care our children have received during this time. Although
there have been periods of staff changes, the current staffing team seems very stable. They are incredibly friendly, professional and caring. Our children seem very happy there and our son seems well equipped ready for the next stage of his education.
The physical building has transformed over the past few years, and now has a fantastic outdoor space: it is a very natural space, that provides lots of fun and adventure, as well as moments of calm and relaxation.
We would highly recommend.

I have two children at Field House, a three-year-old and one-year-old and I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive from the amazing staff. My one-year-old has been there two months now and has settled so well. She’s happy, loves the staff and the homely feel as well as the amazing garden and
outdoor space. My three-year-old is in the preschool and loves all the activities on offer, there’s something different every day as well as a really well-structured routine. Not to mention the food which he always has seconds of.

My son has been at the nursery since he was three months old (now three years old). This nursery has gone through many changes over the past few years. For a while, the nursery was losing staff quite frequently and there didn't seem to be a great atmosphere.
Then recently since last summer, there
have been some big changes that have turned, over the months, this small nursery into a really fantastic one. It started first with great works in the garden to make it a really beautiful and enjoyable garden to be in for the children, with a fantastic water play wall and a teepee. A new deck was installed as well as sliding doors to allow a free flow outdoors.
Then there was a big change in management and staff, with some of the best staff remaining and fantastic ones coming in. There has been a complete reorganisation of the nursery, now separating toddlers from pre-schoolers, which was greatly beneficial. New cohesion between staff, the atmosphere is really positive and relaxing.

My child started at Field House 8 weeks ago and I have to say that the staff have been brilliant in supporting him to settle in.


He enjoys nursery and has really bonded with members of staff! He’s settled in so well and I feel really happy with the decision for him to go to Field House.


He has

learned new words, words to nursery rhymes and explored lots of different ways of playing.


A member of staff always has a chat with me when I pick him up to tell me how he’s been that day, how he’s been playing and what he’s been eating.

My son has been attending this nursery for 3 months and has settled in so well which has made me feel at ease leaving him to go to work. The more he goes the happier he is there. The nursery staff here are all lovely, when my son was poorly recently they were really attentive and kept an eye on his
temperature and called to let me know. I am very happy with the nursery.

My 1-year-old has been at Field House for the last 6 months now and she has settled in brilliantly. She absolutely loves going to nursery and often doesn't want to leave when I pick her up! The staff are very caring and sweet towards her, giving her lots of cuddles and attention. Her language has come
on really well since starting and she's always coming out with new words that she's learnt. She's always playing contently when I pick her up so if she's happy I'm happy.

If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
