Field House Day Nursery & Pre-school

We are really pleased with the progress our little boy has made since starting. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with any questions. Facilities for the children are lovely. Would definitely recommend.

The staff at Field House have been looking after our children for the past 4 years - with only our youngest now left there. She loves attending and playing with the other children and staff and we never have a problem with her at drop-off. The staff have always kept us informed about our children's progress at pick-ups, via their parent app and monthly updates. The staff are all friendly and approachable and I feel they really have the best interests of the children at heart.

Moreover, my son who left in September has gone to school with all the skills he needed to settle right in (dressing himself, lunch self-service, etc), and thanks to the Field House staff, he was one of the few who was able to consistently write his name correctly, write all the letters of the alphabet, and know his numbers. As a result, he is doing fantastically at school. The facilities at Field House are really amazing with a great outdoor space and an intimate indoor environment. Would highly recommend it.

The nursery is full of friendly staff who care really well for my daughter. She loves spending time here and it is great for her development. She is full time at the nursery and transitioned from being at home full time to nursery full time with no issues - testament to the quality of care.

Field House is a wonderful nursery setting and the staff are brilliant. My eldest attended Field House, she is now at school, and my youngest has been at Field House for the last 18 months. My son enjoys every day he attends and the staff are excellent at communicating the wide variety of activities he does each day. My son has built great relationships with the staff and other children. The staff also run great initiatives, such as monthly newsletters, charity events and potty training kits, which is fantastic. The staff at Field House have really made our nursery experience a positive one for our family. Thank you.

The girls at Field House have been amazing with my son. We were a bit nervous leaving our child with people who aren’t his parents at first but from the get-go, the Manager made us feel welcome and at ease. All the staff are amazing with him, he loves them and that makes us happy.

Absolutely fabulous nursery. Full of fun and lots of opportunities for indoor and outdoor play. Staff are exceptionally kind, caring and friendly. They truly care about getting to know the children as individuals. A fun, caring and exciting environment for little ones. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent nursery excellent staff! My son went from crying at the 1st few drop-offs to shutting the door on me. I take that as he loves it. He loves being outside and the staff take them out no matter what the weather is like. I know my child and I know when he's happy like every other parent. He's definitely happy at Field House Day Nursery.

Our son suffers from food allergies and they have handled it wonderfully, supporting with the various “food ladders” and keeping us well informed throughout. Their communication, in general, is top-notch; they always make time to talk/discuss any questions we have and we love receiving their updates throughout the day. The new management team have made the environment even better and they made our return from lockdown very easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Field House to any prospective parent and can’t emphasise enough how special the place is.

This is my first experience settling a baby into the nursery, and the whole team have made it so much easier for my little boy and me. They are constantly updating me via the app on how he is doing and encourage me to call whenever to check in and put my mind at rest. We are now at the end of week 2, and he really enjoys going to nursery, and I am totally confident he is in very capable and caring hands. I can see how he has built up a relationship with his key worker already, which is a testament to her caring nature. Any issues we have had as part of his settling in (sleep), the team have positively partnered with us to resolve. The facilities are great, particularly the outdoor space. I couldn’t recommend it more.

My 3-year-old daughter has been coming to Field House since just before she turned 1. I have nothing but positive experiences with them. Particularly with the pandemic, my daughter always loved going but after being home with me for 12 weeks she seemed to suffer separation anxiety on her return. The ladies have been nothing but supportive and honestly amazing at settling her back in. We have our happy little girl back who proudly and excitingly goes into nursery every morning. My daughter absolutely adores the whole team at nursery, and we as parents could not be happier or more grateful. Not only this but the vast amount of activities they do with her, the fantastic food and the lovely bonds they have, make it so much easier for us knowing they are having so much fun all day.

My daughter started at Field House Day Nursery in August, after not seeing many other people, and especially few other children, because of the national lockdowns. Because of this, I was slightly apprehensive as to how she would cope in a new environment, with lots of new people and seeing less of me. Despite my concerns, the Manager and the Deputy Manager and the whole Field House team made me feel both confident and reassured, regularly updating me on my daughter's progress and how she was on a daily basis. After only a few weeks attending Field House, my daughter is happy to leave me in the morning and always seems to have had a great day upon pick up. She gets to participate in new activities, spends time with other children of her age, eats new foods and loves the garden space. I always feel completely at ease after leaving my daughter in the morning, confident that the team are professional and able to manage her needs. I would certainly recommend the nursery to others.

I have two children at Field House, a three-year-old and one-year-old and I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive from the amazing staff. My one-year-old has been there two months now and has settled so well. She’s happy, loves the staff and the homely feel as well as the amazing garden and outdoor space. My three-year-old is in the preschool and loves all the activities on offer, there’s something different every day as well as a really well-structured routine. Not to mention the food which he always has seconds of.

Then there was a big change in management and staff, with some of the best staff remaining and fantastic ones coming in. There has been a complete reorganisation of the nursery, now separating toddlers from pre-schoolers, which was greatly beneficial. New cohesion between staff, the atmosphere is really positive and relaxing.

My child started at Field House 8 weeks ago and I have to say that the staff have been brilliant in supporting him to settle in.

He enjoys nursery and has really bonded with members of staff! He’s settled in so well and I feel really happy with the decision for him to go to Field House.

He has learned new words, words to nursery rhymes and explored lots of different ways of playing.

A member of staff always has a chat with me when I pick him up to tell me how he’s been that day, how he’s been playing and what he’s been eating.

My son has been attending this nursery for 3 months and has settled in so well which has made me feel at ease leaving him to go to work. The more he goes the happier he is there. The nursery staff here are all lovely, when my son was poorly recently they were really attentive and kept an eye on his temperature and called to let me know. I am very happy with the nursery.

My 1-year-old has been at Field House for the last 6 months now and she has settled in brilliantly. She absolutely loves going to nursery and often doesn't want to leave when I pick her up! The staff are very caring and sweet towards her, giving her lots of cuddles and attention. Her language has come on really well since starting and she's always coming out with new words that she's learnt. She's always playing contently when I pick her up so if she's happy I'm happy.
