Nurtured @ Chell is situated on Bidulph road, close to areas such as Packmoor and Tunstall.

The team pride themselves on their sustainable approach. Learning how to offer more kindness in the world, especially learning how doing good things for others can feel good. There is a special focus on wellbeing, learning how to understand big feelings and how to regulate them and learn how to build resilience. Their kindness begins with the little ones, but the same approach is offered to parents & the team too. The fully qualified team are incredibly supportive and they are passionate about building positive relationships. The fun starts in nursery, but there are some lovely green urban routes to explore, the children can enjoy nature at its best, during walks and forest school activities. The outdoor play area is small but mighty, housing a rowing boat, mud kitchen and bug hotel. They have library visits, amongst many other trips and a a wonderful selection extra curricular activities to choose from. They offer intergenerational care, singing, wood work and they love spending time with the older generation of Chell, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness. Stay & play sessions are available for parents who don't attend the nursery, this allows for 'stay at home parents' to develop those all important early interactions, language development and social skills for little ones.

As our little one is leaving nursery this year to go to big school, we can't thank the whole team at Nurtured enough for taking care of our daughter. She started attending the nursery at just a few months old and I had full trust in them from the get-go. Some of the team have had a close bond with her
and she talks about them at home. So I know we made the right choice in choosing Nurtured.

I love this nursery, my granddaughter has been attending since the beginning of March 2024. I have been on visits with her mum to settle her in and from the start I just knew this was the right choice. I pick her up every Friday and the staff are amazing (baby room), they go out of their way to tell
me about my granddaughter's day and what she has eaten. I feel nothing is too much trouble for the staff to answer any questions I have. My granddaughter has also come on leaps and bounds while attending this amazing nursery, for example, she was a real fussy eater and found it hard to sit still when she did eat, but since being here she is trying all new foods and actually sits and eats with the other children which is a great milestone. Thank you all for doing a great job, keep up the good work from a very very satisfied nanny.

My youngest has come on amazingly since being at this nursery, the staff go above and beyond for all the children and it really shows! My eldest also attends a holiday club and absolutely loves it, the best nursery around!

I have used Nurtured childcare for both my young children back in 2020 and again just over 12 months. Staff are amazing and make sure your're updated on everything that's going on and how the days have been. Never have had a fault within the nursery setting. They've helped my little girl come a long
way from hardly speaking to helping her speech become so much more clear.

I have been using this nursery since 2019. Overall I am happy with the service provision. Both of my children were always happy to go here - which is great, knowing that they’re comfortable and happy. Both developed friendships and great relationships with children and staff. I feel that the staff genuinely
care for the children and their development and put a lot of effort into enhancing their skills, and individualise this too. There have been a couple of issues on occasions throughout the years that I’ve raised - however, the nursery is very sincere and quick at dealing with the issues and rectifying them - which is all you can ask really. There are lovely extracurricular activities that further develop the children’s skills too. What’s important to me, is that my daughter is thriving and coming along amazingly and a lot of that is thanks to attending the nursery. She is happy. She is cared for. She is safe.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 11 months old. Since there, he’s moved from the babies to the toddlers room and I plan to keep him there for the preschool too. I find all the staff caring and nurturing and my son is happy and content when there. They’ve supported with identifying
some possible speech delays in which they’ve acted accordingly by referring to specialist support whilst providing extra support within their setting.

Highly recommend this nursery! The staff are always easily approachable and update me regularly via the app, they also take special care to explain to each parent at pick up how their child has been throughout the day. The staff always listen to your concerns and will help in any way they can. The variety
of food for meals and snacks is great and also the activities throughout each day. My son has developed so many skills since attending.

This nursery has helped my daughter so much, she started in September 2023, she had lots of settling-in sessions to help her get to know the staff and her room.
All of the ladies are welcoming and always on hand to help with anything, my daughter does need additional support and everyone has been
really supportive in explaining everything step by step making it less stressful. Definitely recommend this nursery.

Transitioning to a new nursery has been hard for my little boy, learning new faces and a new setting. But the staff have made it so easy. Plenty of settling-in sessions to ease him in, the staff have been lovely, and he formed a good bond with his new key worker so quickly!

Fantastic nursery with amazing staff. My child has come on leaps and bounds and looks forward to going every day. Lots of stimulation for the children as well as extra activities. This is by far the best nursery in the area.

Since my little boy started in January, he has come on so much. He was very unsettled to start with as he had only ever been with family members, his key worker worked really well with him, and he now has such a good bond with her. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Brilliant nursery, with a lovely staff team. My daughter loves going to nursery now with no tears and all smiles. Very good price, very clean in and out. Very good contact with all staff.

My little boy started Nurtured in Chell in March. The staff are lovely and welcoming and helped with 15-hour funding application. Everything was sorted quickly and efficiently and my little boy was booked in for taster sessions, he settled in very quickly with no upset (he didn’t want to leave) and
was able to start the fully funded sessions the following week. The app they use is brilliant and keeps you fully updated with your child’s progress and other news that’s happening within the setting. I feel confident when leaving my little boy that he is well taken care of and happy and would recommend using the nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

I enrolled my son in September 2023, some of my older children came to this nursery so I was already familiar with the friendly staff. They knew that I had never enrolled any of my children as young as I did my youngest and knew how anxious I was. They were so reassuring and supportive, not just for
my child but myself also. My child soon settled in their nursery, his knowledge and development is absolutely fantastic, thanks to the team. They will always go above and beyond where they can for their children and the parents. If I could give more stars to rate I would! Well done!

A great place for my son, where I know he will be looked after. As a mum with panic disorder is hard to trust people with my son, but from the first day visiting the nursery they have made it easy for me and given me the assurance I needed. My little boy is happy having new friends to play with and

Great nursery.
My son has attended since he was six months old. And although now five and at school, he still returns every school holiday for the holiday club.
He has always loved attending.
Throughout his years there, he has moved through each room and enjoyed them all equally.

I would highly recommend this nursery - I think it's amazing. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and always very approachable. Always easy to reach via phone or by messages on the app. I get regular updates on my child's progress and activities. After every day I get told what they've eaten
and what they've been up to. My boy loves going, and I never worry how he's going to be during the day. He used to hate his old nursery, so to see him go here and come home with the biggest smile on his face. The staff are brilliant with him always regular, always smiling, always happy. The meals they have are brilliant, like a home away from home - my boys always have seconds. The settings are just like home, and they have lots of activities and things set up - they play with everything from dinosaurs to dolls to dress up. The extracurricular activities are also brilliant, like a cooking class, gardening, forest school and woodwork, and soon they are putting on language class. Definitely recommend it to others.

My daughter has been attending Nurtured since November when she was nine months old, and I am nothing but impressed with everything from the staff, and the food to how great her development is coming along. I feel like she is way ahead of where she should be for a 1-year-old, and I do feel that is all
thanks to Nurtured.
The staff keep me updated throughout the day and are always on hand for any questions or queries we have. My daughter is nothing but happy to go to nursery, her face lights up as soon as I get her out of the car, and some days she doesn't even want to leave by clinging to her keyworker!
All in all, this is a great nursery. Thank you for making me feel better about being at work and not at home with my little girl, as I know she is in great hands!
