Footsteps Dosthill Nursery & Pre-School

My son had just been in the baby room which is fabulous but his first day (after a two week holiday) into the toddler was super. He went in fine to his key worker who is fabulous with him. When picking him up, the feedback about his day and what he had eaten was good. The staff really know my son.

My daughter is very happy at this nursery. Any problems I have I raise with the staff and they are dealt with. She is making sound progress. The environment is excellent and the opportunities provided are good. Communication is good. Activities could be more varied and outdoor provision used more but I am generally very happy with the care my daughter receives.

Our little girl is 15 months old and started about 6 months ago. It took her a while to settle in but the staff were really supportive and her key worker was great at reassuring us and keeping us informed about how she was doing. There are lots of organised activities and lots of photos to show the children getting involved, even from a young age. Our daughter has now settled in, is well adjusted to the routine and loves the staff. The food is varied and healthy and it's lovely to see all the babies sitting their chairs at meal time!

Would highly recommend Footsteps Nursery & Pre Schoolhill to any prospective parent.

We have had a fantastic experience so far, particularly in the Baby room where key workers were consistent. We are impressed with the range of activities provided and would like to see more personalised targeted tasks to develop our daughter at different stages. Staff are always brilliant, kind, caring and always happy to provide a thorough account of each day. We are looking forward to our son starting there soon.

Our child really struggles with communication and can very often isolate herself from the group but what we've witnessed both at a stay and play session and on a daily basis when we've come to collect our child is that these amazing members of staff really understand our child and have adapted the way they do things to make sure she's included and ensure she has a great time.

My little boy absolutely loves being in the rising 3’s room. We have recently been given the paperwork for preschool and I must admit I am quite sad he is leaving rising 3’s so quickly. I think he will be sad too as when asked who his friends are at nursery he will mention both of the girls' names. I can’t speak highly enough of these girls and a few others who have looked after my little boy at his time at Footsteps and it is clear to see the great relationship they have with him. He loves the activities they put on for him and often brings some home for us to display. We love rising 3’s, thanks ladies for everything you do.

I am really happy with my baby's nursery. I think the staff is careful and attentive with my baby since the first day. I can already notice my baby's development progression.

The staff in the baby room are fantastic! My daughter has settled in well and a huge part of that is down to the staff.

I love getting the daily forms to see what our daughter has been up to and the staff take the time to update you on how they are progressing.

The staff try to keep to the routine we have at home and that is very much appreciated.

Footsteps have been fantastic since my child started 6 months ago. I feel like all the staff there are like extended family. He has developed so much.

My son is 4.5 months old and only started at Footsteps Dosthill this month. As he is so young I was very concerned about how he would settle in but I am very pleased to see that he has settled in very nicely and I attribute this to the care and time taken by the Footsteps staff. Being so young I cannot see the benefit of many activities yet but I have noticed that since starting he has learned to self-settle (on the activity which used to take 1/2 an hour to an hour now takes less than 15 mins!). We also notice that he doesn't require our attention all of the time and is quite happy to play by himself. It has only been 3 weeks but very pleased with his development so far.

My son has been attending Footsteps Nursery & Pre School now for 6 months. It is a fantastic nursery, the staff are great. He is a really sociable little boy and we feel this has been helped by his time at nursery.

As a family, we continue to be very pleased with the experience our child has at the nursery. We feel safe in the knowledge that when we drop them off in the morning they are going to be well looked after and have a full and rewarding day ahead.

I never worry about leaving my son here.

We are very pleased with all aspects of our chosen nursery. The staff are first class and activities are always geared towards learning. We do however feel the value for money is exceptionally poor in England.

Wonderful nursery with friendly staff. Always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that my child is happy and healthy. Super extra curricular activities such as forest school, French and Makaton. I wouldn't take my child anywhere else now as Footsteps Nursery & Pre School really have set the bar high for outstanding childcare.

We cannot believe how much she has developed in a month, with eating and sitting up on her own, she has fresh amazing food every day. We get a report each day on what activities, food etc...

All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Every morning I drop off my son, he is always happy to go and the staff give him a hug when I leave (he loves the extra comfort).

My daughter has been at Footsteps Nursery & Pre School in Dosthill since she was 9 1/2 months old. She is now in the preschool class. The staff have always been very friendly and supportive and my daughter loves going to nursery.

Going to Footsteps has helped to turn her into the confident, independent little girl that she is today.

I could recommend Footsteps Dosthill Nursery. My little boy started going when he was 11 months and he has loved it since day one. I really do believe he loves it so much due to the amazing staff in the baby room. They are unbelievably caring and do so many great activities with him that I could never offer him at home. He goes full time and loves every day, we never have any tears. Due to them I don't need to feel bad leaving him for 5 days. P.S the fresh food every day is a big bonus too.
