Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School

My little boy started here in September 2020 following in the footsteps of his older brother and sister. 3rd child around and I’m still extremely happy with Footsteps Canwell. The staff are always very helpful and professional. It’s not been easy or straightforward given the covid pandemic but the staff here have handled things in my opinion with the utmost professionalism ensuring the safety of our little ones and their staff. Most importantly my little boy is so happy to go and loves his time there. Footsteps offer him an enriched array of activities that I am very pleased with. Knowing my little boy is safe and happy is paramount for me and I feel very content leaving him in the safe hands of his key worker and the other nursery nurses in his room. Thank you Footsteps, again 3rd time around.

I am so impressed with the nursery, the facilities, the staff and ultimately the care for the little ones. My son has been going to the nursery for approximately 3 months and I have been blown away by the professionalism and the friendliness of all the staff. They are really passionate about the care of the little ones and are keen to keep you fully informed of all the activities they do day to day. We joined Footsteps after having had a nightmare with another setting so were anxious about the ease of settling our son in somewhere new. They completely allayed all of our concerns and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. I really cannot thank them enough. The deputy manager in particular was amazing. Thank you!

Footsteps Nursery & Pre School (Canwell) is an excellent nursery. My little girl loves going and has a beaming smile when she sees the baby room staff. The staff are great, so happy and caring and I always get lots of feedback about her day at nursery. My little girl is currently transitioning into Toddler room and I'm confident that she will be just as happy in Toddlers as she has been in Babies. Cannot recommend this nursery and its staff enough.

Our son has been at the nursery just over a year and loves it. The staff are fantastic, and he gets to play outside lots, and they do a variety of creative activities as well as allowing them time for free play. The feedback is good, the food is varied and healthy, and he comes back every day full of stories of what he has been up to.

Our girls both love it here. The staff are great, the outdoor spaces are superb, the food is always varied and enjoyed thoroughly. Kids come back so happy every day. Communication is always strong, issues are reported quickly, and online tools to see what they are up to are good. Really couldn't ask for more.

Both of my children have and are attending this amazing nursery. The staff are so friendly, keep us informed of the day our children have had and are just so welcoming. My little girl loves going there and is always excited to see her friends and the staff. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely love this nursery. My two children have both attended from 12-months. My daughter is now there in preschool, and all the staff are brilliant. The nursery itself is lovely, bright and always clean. On the days my daughter attends, she literally bounces around the house waiting to go and refuses breakfast at home as she wants a nursery breakfast! Thank you all at Footsteps.

My daughter has attended Footsteps in Canwell since being in the baby room. She is now thriving in the Rising 3’s room. The activities they offer are always so varied and challenging. My daughter talks about all her friends and staff at home. They make us feel so welcome as a family, nothing is ever too much trouble! The management are also so friendly and are always happy to help.

The day I first set foot into the nursery it felt like a very welcoming environment and like every new parent, leaving your kids in the hands of strangers is daunting. Footsteps Canwell have managed this process very well and my daughter has now visited the nursery full time for the past 2 years. She speaks fondly of the staff and the activities. And I strongly believe that she will miss the nursery when she starts school this year. One of her favourite things was forest school and lots of time in the outdoors. The nursery have managed the COVID-19 adjustment process very well and I felt safe and confident in sending my daughter back to nursery. I am a full time working mum and the email and app as well as the learning book have allowed me to follow all of my daughter's developments and also have input myself. Thank you Footsteps for an amazing 2 years.

Best decision was to send my little boy to the nursery, great staff and a lovely nursery.

Our son started at Footsteps in January 2020 when he had just turned 1. We had previously looked around many nurseries but were drawn back to Footsteps. As soon as you walk through the door you can sense the warm, comfortable and safe space that is on offer and all of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Our son started in the baby room and has since moved up into the toddler room. He has formed positive relationships with many of the staff and we can't thank them enough for their patience and understanding as he has been hard work to settle! I can leave him there in the confidence that he will have a great time and be cared for and feel loved by all of the staff. He loves spending time in the outdoor area and never wants to leave when we come to collect him!

Overall, I would recommend Footsteps Canwell to any parents who are looking for a safe, hygienic, fun, family-friendly childcare provider with staff who give their all to make each day a fun and exciting one.

My daughter started at the nursery in October, after already going to a nursery previously I was a little unsure to how she would settle in. To my delight she has settled in beautifully she has progressed in leaps and bounds. Staff are very supportive of home routine and also the care and affection to each child is outstanding. The nursery is very well maintained and clean and such a welcoming environment. My daughter also has special dietary requirements such as gluten and dairy free. The nursery have fully supported her diet with providing alternatives and allowing my daughter to have the same as other children. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough truly is amazing.

Being a working parent can often create stress and pressure but knowing that your children are being well cared for, developing and making friends and having fun, really does help to ease any parent guilt. Both my children have created strong bonds with the carers at the setting. It really is like a home from home. Thank you Footsteps Nursery & Pre School, you really are all great.

Footsteps Canwell is an excellent nursery, my daughter has been there since she was 1 year old and I have been very pleased with her development and learning. Over her time, she has built strong relationships with the staff even if they haven’t been her key worker or assigned to her room. It has a very family feel to the nursery and all support one another. I love that the nursery has a forest school and ensure the children play outside daily. They do a wide range of activities that develop all skills and prepare them for school. My daughter asks to go to nursery at the weekend so that pretty much sums up her experience there. Pleased my 2nd daughter is getting the same experience there now.
