We couldn't be happier with Canwell nursery and the care our daughter receives here. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, and it's clear they genuinely care about the children's wellbeing and development. Our daughter is always happy to go in with no hesitations. The environment is
welcoming, safe, and stimulating, with plenty of engaging activities that support learning through play. Communication with parents is excellent, and we always feel informed and reassured. We're so grateful for the wonderful team and would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive setting for their child

My daughter joined Canwell Footsteps in October 2025 and despite only attending a few days a week, she has built good relationships with the key workers present. The key workers have been great at supporting my daughter settle into nusery as she is teary in the mornings but they know exactly what
techniques to use to calm her and get her ready for a day of learning and playing.
My only area for development would be the outdoor play area which seems a little dated.
The food offered seems to be of a good variety and the new App has been helpful especially with getting updates about her day.

We have two young children who attend Footsteps Canwell Nursery. It is commendable how the nursery has aided our children's development. The nursery tailor the care and learning to focus on the specific needs of our children. The staff are attentive, patient, passionate about what they do and Super
Heroes every day! There is a real family feel about the nursery. Our children love the nursery and see it as an extension of their family. Thank you, too, to all the team at Footsteps Canwell for everything that they do.

Footsteps Canwell has been a fantastic nursery for our children. They always listen to parents and take on board things that are important to each child. The staff create valuable activities relating to interesting topics which help the children to learn about the world. Our children love to attend
this nursery. They eat nutritious food at nursery and the menu is great. We would recommend this nursery to our family and friends.

My son has been going to Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School for over 2 years and we couldn't be happier with the care he has received during his time there. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the thought they put into all the various activities they provide is second to none. His
time at nursery has had a hugely positive effect on all aspects of my son's development, and he genuinely loves going to Footsteps, especially the forest school! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Footsteps to anyone.

I am absolutely thrilled with the exceptional care and education that Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School has provided for my daughter, guiding her development from a baby to a confident toddler. The staff's dedication and expertise have been instrumental in nurturing her growth at every stage.
In December 2024, the festive activities were thoughtfully planned and executed, providing the children with joyful and educational experiences that celebrated the season. The staff's enthusiasm and creativity shone through, making the month truly special for all the children.
Communication with parents is excellent. The staff keep me fully informed about my daughter's learning, routines, and day-to-day care.
Overall, Footsteps Nursery Canwell has exceeded my expectations in every way. I am grateful for the positive impact they have had on my daughter's early years and wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent seeking a nurturing and stimulating environment for their child.

My son started in the baby room and is now in the toddler room. The nursery is fantastic. Staff had previously looked after my older daughter from nearly 8 years ago and my daughter still talks about them. They really have had a positive impact on our family. They are warm and friendly and
communication is always brilliant at the start of the day, during the day through the app and feedback at the end of the day. Activities are always varied and the children are always kept busy. My son loves going in and has a big smile on his face when handed over. Outdoor equipment is great and nursery meals are up to a high standard and nutritious! Staff are trained and experienced and always support me with anything regarding my child's individual needs. My son is well-stimulated and staff are always seen engaging well with all of the children in group. Staff are also flexible if extra days are (ratio permitting) required which works really well for us due to work commitments.

All of the staff, from teachers to the chef, are friendly and display a genuine dedication to childcare and have shown warmth care and support to my child through all stages of his
time here. It is such a comfort as a parent to know that your child is happy and cared for by genuinely enthusiastic caring professionals.

Upon viewing the nursery on an open day we just felt it was the right fit for our son and to this day we have no regrets! It has been amazing - our son started in the babies room and now is in the toddlers room. We love everything about the nursery - the homely layout, the amazing staff, the level
of care and the many activities they provide for the children and even with the parents for stay and play events! They also are very accommodating to your child's requirements or routine. We appreciate the updates on the app during the day and hearing feedback during handover at the end of the day. Picking our son up with the biggest smile on his face really says it all to us!

My son has been going to this nursery for over two years and he loves it. Anything we mention he is struggling a bit with they will make sure to make an effort; such as he couldn't remember his colours, and by the end of the week he knew most of them! The staff are great and we would highly
recommend this nursery.

My child has recently moved to toddler room and the staff have been amazing at settling him in over an extended period. He loves his days at nursery and the staff have been extremely accommodating to our personal circumstances too.

Having my son attend the setting, it was a no-brainer that my daughter would join the nursery. It's now been almost 2 years since she joined Footsteps and she has truly enjoyed every day of her experience. I was a bit apprehensive about her joining the Rising 3's as she can be a little bit shy and
timid, but with the dedication of the Rising 3's team, my worries are no more. She always talks about what she has done and can't wait to show her big brother any creations she has made. She is very proud of being a Rising 3. Thank you for the hard work and dedication to making her time at nursery something to be remembered.

My son has been going to Footsteps for a few weeks now and while he started off with tears, he's now excited to go to nursery. He has a twinkle in his eyes every time he talks about his day at nursery, and that to me is proof that he loves it there! The staff always have something specific to say
about his day and not just some token observation, which really helps us to continue the conversation at home with my son.

The nursery has been very welcoming and informative as well as lots of fun for our little girl who is currently in the baby room at Footsteps Canwell. The staff have really taken the time to get to know her and you can tell she loves going there.

Our son attended the nursery from January 2023 to September 2023 two days a week and the only reason for him leaving was to start at the preschool of the school he will be attending. Otherwise, we would’ve been more than happy to keep him here until he started school.
He got on extremely well with
all of the staff who were very friendly and caring, they were always more than happy to talk to you in-depth about his day and his development.
The management and communication was excellent, and if we ever had any questions about anything, it was thoroughly looked into.
We absolutely loved the forest school and all the activities that he participated in. We couldn’t recommend the nursery enough and our daughter will be attending when I am back to work.

We have been so impressed with the nursery, even in the short time our son has been attending. He has a great time there, and the care that all the staff members have been providing has been outstanding. We love the regular updates and pictures we get via the app, and I feel they have really taken
the time to get to know our son and work on what he likes in order to make him feel comfortable and to help him develop. A massive thank you from us!

My son has been at Footsteps since mid-September, and they have been fantastic (especially his key worker). He’s really settled in well and reassured us.
The nursery isn’t overcrowded, always clean and plenty to keep him occupied.
I’m sure if he could talk, he’d give them a glowing review.
