Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School

Our daughter is very happy at Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School. She connects well with the staff. There is a very happy environment for the children to play and learn.

We have been incredibly happy with Footsteps Canwell since our daughter started in 2020. The care she receives is excellent and communication between the nursery and home is regular and consistent. The staff make every effort to get to know all of the children, even those in different rooms. Our daughter struggled at drop-off for a while and the staff went out of their way to establish a routine for her when she arrived to help settle her quickly. Our daughter has developed incredibly well and we are really pleased we chose to send her here. Her sister will be joining her very soon too!

Love the team in the baby room. Lots of great activities, regular updates and cater for all needs. Freshly made food and lots of great outdoor space to explore. The team seem very attentive and always gives great and detailed feedback each day.

My son joined in September 2022 as a rising 3 after quite a few big changes in our lives. He absolutely loves his new nursery and couldn’t have settled in better! He loves all the staff and talks about them all week. We are super happy with Footsteps and so glad we moved our son here.

First time any of my children have been in a nursery setting before, I previously used a Child Minder. I can honestly say this nursery is amazing, my child has settled in well and I'm so pleased. They do different things daily, and you can get updates throughout the day and get feedback. All the staff are so lovely and caring. Would 100% recommend this nursery.

A really fantastic nursery setting. Our little girl is always happy and full of stories from her time at preschool. The staff are all caring professionals and communication with parents is great. We love seeing updates throughout the day.

I'm very pleased with the care my baby is receiving at Footsteps. The nursery nurses are wonderful and keep my baby engaged every day. There are lots of fabulous activities both indoor and outdoor and I receive updates and pictures daily so I know my baby is having the time of his life. He adores his nursery nurses. He has come on far in his time at the nursery and this was the best decision for his development.

I am really happy with this nursery. My son has attended since he was 13 months old and is now 18 months old. The staff are very friendly, they do a variety of different activities with the children to entertain and educate them and spend a lot of time outside. They have noticed which activities my child is particularly interested in and make an effort to engage him with his preferred activities. The atmosphere feels calm and happy whenever I drop him off or have attended the stay-and-play. I get regular updates and photos via the app.

My daughter started nursery at 10 months old in the baby room, she's now 16 months old and thriving! She loves nursery, her key worker and other staff members that interact with her around the nursery. I feel comfortable leaving her at nursery with updates through the day on her daily diary. After a slight delay in her walking, feedback was listened to and acted upon to aid her standing, cruising and now walking. Her first confident steps were taken at nursery and filmed which I can't express my gratitude enough for.

Went to the stay & play for my 1-year-old today, and I must say they were absolutely amazing with the kids. They have so much energy and constantly trying their best to entertain them. I am glad we picked this nursery!

The only thing I would like is more pictures and observations. We do not get many observations come through. I know they are based on interests which take weeks at a time but it would be nice to have a weekly update on the app!

The staff are so friendly and caring. They give great feedback and you feel they genuinely care about each child. Our child loves going there. Having a forest school on site with forest school leaders is invaluable. I feel very lucky that our child goes to Footsteps nursery.

I can speak very highly of all the staff and management but for me, it's the senior and the gang!

Love the messy play, cooking and external staff activities such as singing, dance sports, football etc.

A lovely little nursery that my daughter absolutely adores. The staff are so personable and know each child by name which means it has a real comforting feel to it. When my daughter first started at 10 months she spent most of her days crying but with the help of the staff shes really come into her own. She has way more confidence and is a lot more independent! I wouldnt send my children any where else!

My little one has just started in the baby room. In the mornings they are welcomed with smiles and go into the room happily. I call to check in and get a detailed account of their morning with information which is personal to her. The girls in the room are really warm and I know that my baby gets all the love and cuddles she needs. The girls have sent some lovely keepsakes home that we’ll treasure forever like painted footprints and pictures of themed days. Something else that I really appreciate is that most days she comes home with bottles sterilised and ready for the evening - bonus!! High recommend.

My child attends once a week. She has settled very well and has made a great connection with her key workers. They set many varied activities each week and seem to really know my child. We are well informed at the end of each day, with a full brief of what she has been up to all day. I feel my child is well looked after whilst in your care. I would like more entries to her e-learning book, maybe one per week. There have only been two since September 2021. Overall, very happy.

We honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery or staff enough!

My little boy has been attending this nursery since June 2020; we loved the nursery as soon as we went to look around it and have loved it every day since! He was just under 1 when he officially started and we were anxious about sending him to a nursery, especially with the current situation with the pandemic, but it has been such an amazing experience for him. The staff are kind and caring and my little boy has grown in confidence so much. There are wonderful activities set up each day and I just love hearing about all the fantastic things he’s been up to. Since myself and my partner are both key workers, we have had no real choice but to send him to nursery and I am so glad that Footsteps Canwell is the one we can take him to as it gives me peace of mind that he is happy when I take him and that he is so well looked after and stimulated for the whole time he’s there. Absolutely recommend this fabulous nursery.
