Children 1st Acorns Nursery School

Our daughter is in her third year at Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean Day Nursery and in the early years room. She really enjoys nursery and in particular the wonderful outdoor space. We recently attended an open evening where we were able to see this for ourselves. The thought, care and effort that goes into this space is incredible and the staff should be very proud of this. Our daughter is learning so much about many different topics and having great fun at the same time. We would highly recommend Acorns.

My son has attended Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean Day Nursery since March 2019, all the staff and the facilities from the baby room right up to early years are truly exceptional - I found having a daily diary after every session very reassuring. Photos are regularly uploaded onto an app so you have visibility of what activities your child has been involved in. They really go above and beyond, I would highly recommend for anyone looking for childcare.

My little one loves attending here and I wouldn’t want her to attend anywhere else.

Fantastic day nursery, the room staff are all amazing, nothing is too much effort for them and they completely make you feel at ease leaving your child in their capable hands. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean Day Nursery is a fabulous childcare setting with lovely staff and great outdoor facilities. My daughter attended for four years and the staff were always very helpful and accommodating. They have prepared her well for school and we miss you all!

This nursery is one of the best ones around this area, it is so well kept and lovely and clean at all times. The work which has been done to renovate this nursery is absolutely amazing. The staff are amazing and my daughter loves going to nursery here. Each and every staff member is so welcoming and lovely. Every time my daughter comes home from nursery she always tells me how much fun she’s had playing with her friends and the staff. I always get regular updates about what my daughter has been doing during the day and how she meets her targets each term. I would not send my daughter to another nursery.

My daughter attended the holiday club in their amazing outdoor learning environment. She came home excitedly talking about the mud kitchen, stream, huge sandpit how she held and fed the rabbits and the real massive Ferguson tractor that's just like her grandad's. The food on offer is all homecooked and she enjoyed everything on offer. All the staff were bubbly and welcoming and really professional over any safeguarding concerns I had during the Covid 19 pandemic. In my opinion, there is no other nursery like this in the area, my daughter compared it to a day out at Trentham Gardens with regards to their natural resources.

My daughter is 1 and a half and absolutely loves going to nursery. She can't wait to get through the door in the mornings. We have been really impressed with the nursery. Everyone is very professional and friendly, my daughter is very happy and we feel very lucky to have found such a fabulous nursery. I love the outdoor facilities and that the children can play outside every day. My daughter has eczema and I have been really impressed with how committed the staff have been to her skincare routine.

Excellent nursery! I was really put at ease once lockdown was lifted and my daughter had to return to the nursery. Everyone is very professional but personable. My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery and loves the staff.

The staff have all been so supportive in helping them settle in and continued to support them in all aspects of there nursery life including speech development, reading, writing, creative play and preparing my eldest for school.

I wouldn’t have chosen anywhere!

Children’s 1st @ Acorns has been absolutely amazing with my 2 boys! I cannot recommend this nursery enough! We moved to the area at the end of 2019 and I was amazed by the setup and the outdoor space that the nursery offered, as well as the friendly family atmosphere. My 2 year old quickly settled into Acorns with a warm welcome from the team, the staff really do care for the children and are so excited when they achieve new things it is so wonderful to see. He is now so excited when it’s a nursery day and comes home buzzing from his lovely day with his friends. My youngest has started in the last month and the Acorns team couldn’t have made it easier for me (the worried mum!), he has settled quickly, despite being clingy and the team have been so loving and kind with him. The activities they do are really fun and age-appropriate and the team are always friendly and welcoming.

I’ve sent both of my children here and they absolutely love it. I moved my daughter from another nursery when we moved to Tean, and she settled straight in. The outdoor facilities are amazing and it’s been great to watch the nursery grow over the last 2 years.

We wouldn’t ever consider sending our children anywhere else and couldn’t speak highly enough of the staff and facilities here.

Our daughter has received outstanding care from all of the fantastic staff at Children’s 1st at Acorns. She enjoys going to nursery and it is clear she gets a lot out of it. We receive a detailed update at the end of the day and regular progress reviews. The nursery environment is wonderful and there is so much for the children to do, with an amazing outdoor space that a huge amount of thought has gone into. Our daughter has various allergies and the staff have been very supportive in managing these, with the nursery cook being particularly helpful. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They are genuinely caring and are always happy to answer any questions. We are very glad we chose Children’s 1st at Acorns for our daughter.

Fantastic, clean and well-presented nursery, the newly refurbished rooms are fantastic. The staff are wonderful and friendly and go above and beyond every day. They even went out of their way to do Diwali crafts when they found out we celebrated that holiday! 1000% recommended.

The team at Acorns are truly amazing! My almost-three-year-old loves going there, she is so comfortable and happy that sometimes she doesn't even want to leave! My one-year-old is also due to start and I have no worries whatsoever that he will be well looked after. The outside space is fantastic and the team have worked so hard on the renovations. A big thank you to the manager and her fabulous team. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else.

Both of our two children attend the before and after school sessions. They previously both attended the nursery from only several months old. I couldn't find anywhere better the staff are all fantastic and my children adore being at Acorns. The food is delicious, the outdoor access amazing and I am so happy they attend. The before and after school staff are so kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend this nursery completely! Acorns are great!

I really cannot fault Acorns Children 1st. It is honestly A1. I wouldn’t let my precious boy go anywhere else. A massive THANK YOU to everyone at Acorns.

My son is now 4 years old and had attended Acorns since the age of 8 months. I now also have a daughter who is 9 months old and is getting ready for her settling in sessions. I have no worries what so ever about her being there. The care is fantastic and the staff are great. My son still engages in conversation with the staff who used to look after him when he was a baby. The activities are great and he enjoys every day that he’s there. I especially like the EyLog system due to me working shifts. This system gives me the chance to see what he’s been learning or what activities he’s been doing. I’m looking forward to seeing the new classrooms and larger outdoor playing area.
