Children 1st Acorns Nursery School

From our first induction 2 years ago, we were met with professionalism and a clear child-centred approach, which was evident in the environment and in the interactions observed between staff and children. Since then, my child has received a high level of care and genuine support in all areas. She responds positively to all staff and is always excited to go to nursery. The communication between staff and parents is excellent and we feel part of the family. Thank you to all the staff.

Acorns Nursery is without doubt one of the best there is. The facilities, the staff and the setting are just some of the reasons why my children have been going there for years. No query or comment is ignored, and they always have the safety of your children at the forefront of their minds. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who would listen.

My son has attended nursery since he was just 6 months old. He is 2.5 now and has grown and developed in the most amazing way and we can’t thank the wonderful and dedicated staff enough for their support and encouragement so that our son can have the confidence to be the best he can be. We are reassured he is safe and cared for. We really could not have chosen a better nursery.

It is probably a bit more expensive than some other nurseries but it is definitely worth the extra cost.

I’ve had 3 children attend Children 1st since they turned 1, and the care they have received has been outstanding. I never have any worries about leaving my child, and the team are always professional, sensible and considerate. The team always have time to listen to any questions or concerns parents may have. They are attentive to each child’s needs and it is wonderful to watch my children develop relationships with their key workers and other staff. My children eat well, join in many different activities and are always happy on drop off and pick up. I always recommend Children 1st to anyone looking for a nursery!

Lovely, caring atmosphere. Staff go above and beyond to support both the families and children. The equipment is brilliant as are the outdoor facilities. Our daughter has been there since she was 10 months old and she has grown with the nursery, they really know and care about the children.

What a nursery! My daughter has been going since she was 1 year old, and for the last 8 months, I have watched her grow in confidence and really flourish here. This nursery puts so much care into the children, nothing is too much for them. I was quite anxious about her starting nursery due to an allergy and they have been excellent with it, which really puts my mind at ease. It's a joy to send her here and she now looks forward to going in. Thank you Children 1st!

My son absolutely loves this nursery, he has been going to the nursery since he was a baby, and now he’s in after school club there. We had to change briefly, due to work circumstances, but now he is back he is so much happier and he is always telling me so! The outdoor area is fantastic and he loves playing outdoors with his friends there after school. It’s a clean, bright, friendly environment with good safety measures in place. I searched around a lot of nurseries before deciding on this one and I’d highly recommend it.

The facilities are amazing indoors and outdoors, and my daughter's confidence has grown and developed greatly while attending Children 1st.

My child has attended Children 1st nursery since she was 12 months old four days a week. She has excelled since being at nursery and the staff have been excellent in supporting her with walking, speech, potty training and social skills. She has formed many close bonds with the staff and it is lovely to know how cared for she is. Now at almost 3, she comes home every day chattering all about the things she has been doing and especially the lovely food she has been eating!

Amazing. Great for after-school care and also for school holiday care. My child loves coming and I struggle to get her out most nights! She loves the activities and the food. Well done!

Our little girl's development has come on even after just a couple of months of her attending and we couldn’t be happier!

My son has been attending nursery since he was 9 months old. It has been an absolute pleasure sending him here, the staff are so friendly and helpful. My son loves going and has developed so much in the last year. I could not have chosen a better nursery.

This childcare setting is a true home from home environment and I am confident every day that my child is there, that they are being looked after, nurtured and loved. I would not send my children anywhere else and I am genuinely sad that come September we won’t be turning down the Acorns drive, and greeting all of the staff who not only know my child’s name, but his parents, his entire family and even his dogs name, where he’s recently been on holiday and his likes and dislikes. The staff at Acorns are an absolute credit to the childcare business and we will forever have fond memories of ‘nursery’.

All three of my children have attended this nursery and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. The facilities are fantastic and staff are lovely. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. Most importantly, their "open door" policy, for parents, gives me the confidence that my children and being cared for to a high standard.

Very friendly staff who do a great job with getting to know each individual child. The staff and the activities they carry out each day really help my child develop and have a fun day. The facilities are amazing, especially the outdoor space.
