Children 1st Acorns Nursery School

My eldest daughter attended this nursery (she is now 8 and at school) and my youngest has been going since she was 1 (she is nearly 3). We have loved this nursery from the start. The staff are amazing, friendly and kind and they take feedback seriously and get it actioned quickly, such as when the nursery was taken over and the menus all changed, and the new menus were too sophisticated for the little ones! They reverted back to "normal" wholesome choices. The rooms are all lovely and well-maintained and the outdoor spaces are fantastic. Use of the interactive app is great, we can communicate both ways really easily. Both my daughters have thrived here and love it. So do we and recommend to everyone we know!

My child started at 18 months and she has come on so much since starting, her development has been amazing. The nursery venue is clean and have fabulous outdoor spaces. The staff are so good with the children and the communication is great. My second child recently started at 14 months and the transition has been really smooth. I have been kept up to date. Staff listen to requests and are supportive with things like potty training. Would highly recommend.

Lovely nurturing nursery, my little girl loves going to nursery and has a lovely bond with the staff. Facilities and resources are second to none , the outdoor space is great and a lot of thought has gone into activities to connect children with nature and wildlife.

He has been supported well through his speech development struggles and has strong relationships with the staff.

I feel so lucky this is the nursery that my son goes to. He has thrived with his learning and is excited to go in. Each and every staff member is so kind and passionate about child development. In particular, the nursery managers are so welcoming for any questions or requests but more importantly the whole nursery team respect my wishes for care aspects for my son even if it is not the routine.

Acorns is an absolutely fantastic nursery with wonderful staff, whose care, dedication and passion make the nursery a fabulous environment for the children. We wouldn’t send our daughter anywhere else - they really are the best!

Children 1st @ Acorns Upper Tean has a fantastic team. I am a mother of 3 children and my 3rd child has just started here. I'm always confident that when I leave they will be happy. The outdoor space is amazing and the nursery feels fresh and open. The team are very supportive and will take time to discuss your needs or just be there to give you a helping hand if you feel like you need it especially when initially getting used to drop-offs. Wow! What a fantastic, beautiful nursery! Fantastic setting in a perfect location! Nothing is ever too much. Staff are friendly and down to earth. We love Children 1st Acorns and are glad we picked it! Our daughter loves it so much she cries to go on a Saturday and Sunday.

Children 1st Acorns is a fantastic nursery! My two children attend, one in the nursery and one the before and after school club. They both absolutely love it there, they have so much fun. All of the staff are incredible and they are like a second family to us. Thank you all so much!

My little boy is always excited to attend nursery and his key worker is fab alongside all other staff members! He is always happy returning from nursery too which is nice. Nothing has ever been too much trouble and we have already recommended the nursery to two other families whose children now attend!

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! The staff are excellent and make you feel comfortable during the difficult period of adjusting your child to nursery. The facilities and activities they do with the children are great and I can definitely see the difference in my daughter since starting as she is more confident and being encouraged to try new things all the time. The staff are so supportive to parents and have always been helpful whenever we have needed advice or support, they have always offered us time to talk and a cup of tea and offered tips and encouragement when we’ve felt a bit out of our depth. Our little girl loves the staff there and they’re so good with the children, it feels like they really care about the children. We couldn’t be happier.

We simply love it and will be sad when our children no longer attend here - we couldn’t recommend it more!

My daughter has been going to Children 1st since she was 11 months old! She absolutely adores the staff, she’s always so happy to go and to be handed over to staff with no issues. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and have done it to many friends and family. It’s wonderful to watch my daughter grow and learn so much from her interactions with other children and staff at this nursery.

I’ve been using this nursery for 10 years so far - all four of my children have come to Children 1st and loved it! My youngest started at 7 months and I didn’t hesitate to send him at a young age as I knew that he would be happy and well cared for there. It has lovely staff, great resources and plenty of amazing outdoor space. The children build great friendships (my two eldest are still best friends with children they met at nursery, despite my son going to a different school than his best friend). I would definitely recommend this nursery.
