Kirsty's Little Treasures - Shenstone

My birthday is 13th November. I have been in childcare for over 20 years, starting as a student in college and working my way up to where I am today. I am very passionate about bringing out the best within the children and staff I work with. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite food is spaghetti bolognese! I am married to Kyle and have 2 children Kole and Kiera and 2 stepchildren Sophie and Isabelle and a dog called Woody! In my spare time (if I get any!) I love walking, reading and going out for lovely meals! Interesting fact about me: as a youth I held a black belt in ju-jitsu and was a national champion, I won lots of trophies - you never know I may take it up again one day! I love any sort of music and really like to dance! My favourite nursery rhyme is if you’re happy and you know it and I love to dance and sing with the children! I am level 6 qualified and have a Degree with Honours within Early Years.

My name is Kyle Toolan and I am Kirsty’s husband. I am the Associate Director of KLT’s, and I am responsible for all Health and Safety related issues as well as general ‘dogs’ body!’ I also provide Health and Safety training to all of the staff. I served in the Royal Air Force for 22 years and now I do a lot of voluntary work for the Royal British Legion. I have 4 children Sophie, Isabelle, Kole and Kiera. I love animals and have in the past kept a variety of different pets ranging from 2-inch stick insects to 5-foot lizards and a snake!. My favourite part of KLT’s is seeing the children develop over the time that they are with us and the sense of achievement that it gives to all the staff.

My birthday is the 26th June, I have two level 3 qualifications one in early years and one in play work I have worked with children for over 12 years in different roles from youth clubs to before and after school clubs and then to pre-school. I am very passionate about sports and the outside world especially football which I both play and coach and also golf which I love to try and play occasionally. In my spare time I love to go and watch Aston Villa and also enjoy playing on the x box I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to read with my favourite books being Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Interesting fact- I represented my country in ju-jitsu by winning the Midlands and national competitions and held my junior black belt from the age of 12. I have 2 daughters called Matilda and Margot. I am level 5 qualified in Early Years childcare and level 5 qualified in management.

My birthday is May 18th. I started working at KLT’s in October 2014; this is my first role within childcare. I am a single parent to a beautiful daughter Felicity who is 15 years old. I enjoy days out and spending lots of quality time with her. We live in Bromsgrove and have 1 pet cat called Gizmo and a dog called Lulu! We love our girly time together. Outside of nursery and anytime when I haven’t got Felicity, I am level 5 qualified.

My Name is Courtney-Jayne. My birthday is 6th January, I am level 2 qualified in childcare and health and social care and have been working alongside children since 2016 I have previously worked in other nurseries and as a one to one support with a child with complex needs. I love socialising with my friends and family I have 2 younger brothers and a younger sister. One hobby I have is dancing where I take part in lessons, teaching and carrying out shows. I am really looking forward to starting my level 3 in Early Years with KLT’s. I am level 2 qualified working towards Level 3.

My Name is Ruth my birthday is the 3rd March. I am level 6 qualified with a degree in early childhood studies. I have over 4 years’ experience of working with children. I love food especially crisps and chocolate. I love animals and have 2 cats who are very mischievous called Willow and Lola. I have 2 daughters Lottie and Elsie. In my spare time I enjoy seeing my friends and family and playing the piano when I get the chance to!. I have a degree in Early Years.

My name is Jade, my favourite colour is purple, and my birthday is the 15th of December. I have 4 children, Leighton, Cameron, Lydia and Adeline. I have worked in adult care for the last 16 years. My favourite story is ‘We are going on a bear hunt’, and my favourite nursery rhyme is ‘Wheels on the bus’. My favourite food is anything spicy!!! My favourite place is by the sea. My birthday is on the 13th January. I have a BA Hons in Early Years, and I went to university for 4 years. I am passionate about what I do. I have been working in early years for 7 years, with a variety of age groups, but mainly with pre-school-aged children.

My favourite colour is pink, I am an auntie to 3 nephews and 2 nieces, and in my spare time, I enjoy doing fun things with them, such as going to theme parks and to the cinema! My favourite thing about early years has to be watching the children develop and grow, but I also love to get messy with them!

My name is Gemma, I am level 3 qualified and have worked in childcare for 18 years. I have really enjoyed my journey so far, making my biggest achievements on the way. I am KLTs new SENCO. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite food is a chicken tikka curry. I am engaged to my partner Chris and have 3 beautiful children, Ethan-Lee, Amy and Cody. I have a dog called Rosa and 2 cats called Katie and Milo. I am very family-oriented. I love spending time with them and going out doing various activities/trips. I also love playing games! Hi, I am Chloe. My Birthday is 5th May. I am working towards my Level 2 in Early Years. This is my first position working with children, and I am absolutely loving it! I was a student at KLT’S on placement, and they offered me an apprenticeship, which I have accepted. My favourite colour is pink, and my favourite foods are pizza and pasta. I live with my mom, sister and brother, and I have a bird and a dog called Rosie. In my spare time, I love being with my friends and my pets. My favourite nursery rhyme is “Wind the bobbin up”

My Nickname is Coco, and my birthday is 17th September. I’ve worked in social services for the past 6 years, and I’m the oldest of 11 grandchildren! I have extensive experience with children of all ages and love to help support children to recognise their own emotions, to grow in confidence + promote their independence. My favourite colour is pink, I have 5 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats! I have an incredible daughter called Winnie, who is 2 and a half, and she has ginger hair just like me. My Favourite nursery rhyme is skidamarink and my favourite story is The Gruffalo! My favourite film is Harry Potter + I used to dress up to go with my mum at midnight when the books were released! This was a core childhood memory. I believe every child should get the chance to experience a little bit of magic in their lives. I endeavour to help them find their magic.

I have recently finished my level 2 qualification in childcare, and I am looking forward to working towards my level 3 qualification! My birthday is on the 17th of August. I have been employed to run the kitchen on a Monday & Friday at Shenstone. I’m very excited to return to work after raising my 4 children. My favourite colour is purple. I have a big dog at home called Ebony, a cat called Jeff, a Leopard Gecko and a Tortoise. I love animals! I love music, singing and dancing. I am Lisa. My Birthday is 3rd February, I am level 2 qualified and have always wanted to work in childcare, but never really had the chance, so I am here to give it my all! I have 4 children and a little grandson called Arlo. My favourite colours are red and green, and my favourite food would be fish and chips. I have 2 cats called Betty and Penny. I enjoy walking and have had some long walks over the last year in the Peak District and also in Wales. I also love swimming, it's hard fitting everything in sometimes! My favourite nursery rhyme is The Wheels on the bus and my favourite flowers are daffodils.

I am 30 years old and an only child. My birthday is the 5th of May. I currently have my Level 2 BTEC First Diploma and hope to do my Level 3 soon. My favourite colour is purple, and in my own time I love to travel and go on holidays. When I was younger, I always wanted to work on cruise ships until I went down different routes and only recently got back into childcare. I have been doing this for 12 months now. My favourite food is pizza, and I listen to all kinds of music. My favourite thing about being back in childcare is watching the children develop and grow. I love seeing some of their firsts and love to listen to them laugh and watch their faces light up with smiles whilst having fun.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and going on long walks with my golden retriever called Ralph! I relax by colouring. I am the oldest of four siblings. At KLT's my position is office administrator. I have a strong eye for detail and like to make sure the nursery is running smoothly. I really enjoy being part of the nursery environment and seeing the children happy and engaged each day.

My birthday is 31st December, and I have always wanted to work with children. I have a border collie called Rocky and a hamster called Freddie. I love Disney, and I am Stitch obsessed! I have a niece called Sienna who is 3 and a nephew called Tommy who is only 5 months old. I love messy play and being out in the garden. I can’t wait to gain experience and watch the children learn and grow.

Hi, I am Shanae. My Birthday is 29th June. I am a Level 2 Qualified in Early Years and will be working towards my Level 3 with KLT’s. I have worked in childcare for 3 years to date (Dec 25). I am very passionate about making sure children are nurtured, safe, and most importantly, having fun at nursery! My favourite colour is pink, and my favourite musical is Hamilton and WICKED! I love making art and collecting shells, and I enjoy spending my free time in nature and watching musicals. My favourite nursery rhyme is Old Macdonald, and my favourite story is The Gruffalo.

I have very recently turned the big 60! Or not…As I keep telling everyone, it was only my 21st! I am a qualified chef and have completed my NVQ level 3 in supervisory hospitality management. I was a mobile catering supervisor for Warwickshire County Caterers for 13 years. This involved going around school kitchens and managing the Alcester Grammar School kitchen. My passion is interacting with the children and doing special theme days with whatever the children are being taught in class.

Hi, I’m Alex. My birthday is the 14th June. I’m currently studying my level 2, and I am really enjoying working with the children as I find them very entertaining, fun and unique! They always put a smile on your face. I have 2 younger brothers, Ben and Dan. My hobbies are mainly anything car-related, but I also enjoy music and gaming. From an early age, I’ve had a passion for SpongeBob and have collected different merchandise from the franchise. With my family, I look forward to cinema and movie nights!
