Westwood Day Nursery (Coventry)

Both of my children have attended Westwood from 1 year old. They have both been happy and enjoyed nursery throughout this. Every morning we get a friendly welcome without fail and staff are friendly and approachable. There is lots of effort to include parents with stay and plays, daily feedback and items sent home. Any small issues have been resolved quickly and professionally. Would recommend this nursery due to the personal, friendly and professional approach from the management and nursery staff.

My daughter has been with Westwood from 10 months through to her now leaving preschool and we couldn't be happier with her time there. The staff are all very friendly and it is clear that they have built and environment where the staff genuinely care about the children. I've heard horror stories from friends about other nurseries and so happy to say I don't have a single negative thing to say about Westwood. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone looking.

My grandson has been attending this nursery for the last 2 1/2 years and I can only say it is brilliant! The staff are always so welcoming and give me full update on his day, when I pick him up, they do lovely open afternoons where I can stay and play, the meals they provide are of a really high standard (very healthy) and the staff teach them to be self sufficient! He is a shy child around strangers but they are building his confidence every day! I couldn't recommend highly enough!

I've had the joy of watching both of my boys grow through Westwood Day Nursery-four years apart, but each with the same incredible experience. Although they attended at different times, the one constant has always been the love, care, and unwavering dedication of the staff.

As our youngest gets ready to take the big step to school, we find ourselves looking back with full hearts and so much gratitude. We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better team to nurture and support our children during these precious early years.

The nursery is full of engaging activities that not only keep the children happily busy but also help them learn and grow every day. It's a clean, welcoming environment with wholesome, nutritious meals-and more importantly, it feels like a second home.

Westwood has been such a special part of our family's journey, and we'll always be thankful for the wonderful start it gave our boys.

What a wonderful nursery. Our first daughter thrived here so it was a no brainer for us for our second to start at Westwood too. Our second daughter started at 7 months. The team in caterpillars were amazingly patient in helping her settle in, especially as we started her so young and let her take her time getting used to more people gradually. The nursery is clean, always really friendly, and the staff get to know you and genuinely care about your child. They also were incredibly on the ball when my daughter was being investigated for a potential allergy and got a safety plan in place. They also make a lot of effort to hold parent forums to get opinions, give you the chance to taste the menu for the children and hold fetes and family days and stay and plays regularly so that you feel very involved. Westwood is well worth it.

Westwood Day Nursery is a gem! From the fantastic staff, nurturing environment, learning through play, safe practices and communication, Westwood really has everything covered and more! It took time for my son to adjust to his new routine and surroundings. Staff acknowledged this showing empathy and patience during this transition, trying different approaches, and now my son settles much better and really enjoys his time at Westwood. Whilst the children have key workers, all staff (including admin, management and even staff in other rooms!) take time to get to know each child, and make them welcome as soon as they arrive at the front door in a morning. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, you feel reassured knowing that your child is well looked after, getting regular updates via an app as well as honest feedback about their day on pick up. All the staff seem genuinely interested and passionate in what they do and it shows in their work and care. Could not recommend Westwood enough!

Some of the many things we love about the nursery: it is clean, staff rotation (they all know what's going on and always have a special word when the children come in or go out to make them feel seen); the seamless professionalism; children going out in the fresh air or going back in, in a blink of an eye; children being stretched and challenged in an appropriate way for them; cute, quick, efficient updates throughout the day; the safe entrance system; food plan and ideas.

Westwood Day Nursery has provided a safe and fun environment for my son to learn and develop over the last couple of years. The staff whether it be management or in the rooms are always friendly and have developed really positive relationships with my child. They always make great effort to ensure we get feedback at the end of each day. Meal choices are nutritious and varied and represent good value for money. My son loves his time at Westwood and has visibly enhanced his self confidence, speech and numeral skills since he began.

My daughter has been going to Westwood day nursery since August 24 and she has developed so much, even by doing only 2 days per week. Socially, mentally and physically, we have noticed such positive changes in her. All the staff are so caring, they always go the extra mile and I couldn't sing their praises enough!

We were recommended Westwood Day Nursery by our son's SEN teacher after struggling at other settings. We were apprehensive about the move as we felt our son had been let down previously. What can I say, we were absolutely blown away by Westwood and the staff. From the moment we went to visit we were made to feel welcome, our son accepted and a very thorough settling-in plan was made to ensure our son would be well supported from the moment his settling sessions started. His 1:1 funding was applied for and granted right away meaning his needs have been catered to from the get-go. He is thriving and developing so rapidly now he has the right support and staff around him. Everyone at Westwood is so friendly and welcoming, they all have a smile on their face every time I see them and you can tell they love all the children. I am so impressed by Westwood and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone sending their child to nursery.

Westwood Day Nursery have made going back to work easier and have made a difficult transition, easy. The communication from the start has been excellent. All questions have been answered efficiently on walk-arounds, settling days and normal day-to-day nursery. The daily app updates are great and help keep worry at bay, especially in the first few weeks - however updates have not stopped after the first month, every day I have something. All the members of staff know what is going on in the rooms and seem to know all the children. Every time I have asked questions about my son's day, attitude, eating, routine etc the staff have answered straight away and honestly, which has put me at ease. They have given me positive and negative feedback, which I have appreciated and builds my trust in the team. My son is always happy at drop off and pick up and smiles at all staff willingly. It has been a weight lifted off my shoulders choosing Westwood and would highly recommend the nursery.

Westwood is an amazing nursery and has helped develop both my girls. Nursery staff including management have been supportive and understanding. Would recommend to my friends and family. Keep up the good work!

My child has been attending this nursery for almost a year and has settled so well. All the staff are amazing and so caring towards the children. They aid in the children's development with activities both group and one-to-one, which correlate with seasons, special days or events. The communication with this nursery is really good. I couldn't fault this nursery at all and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery place for their child.

We have been so impressed with the nursery from day one. The staff are all so friendly and professional. They do a great job of creating a happy environment and giving the children a safe haven to explore. We have recommended the nursery to our friends too.

My son struggled with separation from day one and the nursery staff went above and beyond to make his transition as smooth as possible for all of us, every morning for 3 years. He now says some of them are his best friends. You can truly leave your child at nursery knowing they will be well looked after, learn new things every day and have a great time playing with their peers in a lovely environment.

A wonderful nursery to send your children to. Staff are warm, welcoming and caring and the level of care is outstanding. The activities and resources available to the children are wonderful and provide so many amazing learning opportunities and experiences. My daughter has just left now as she is going to school but she has been there for nearly four years and she has had the best time! And my son is starting soon as nowhere else I would send him after my experience here with my daughter! I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a home away from home for their children and somewhere where they can thrive and grow and have the best start to their lives and learning.
