Elmdon Day Nursery is a privately owned nursery established in 2004. The nursery is single storey and all the rooms have safety gates, not doors, which gives the nursery an open friendly atmosphere.
There is a small car park at the front.

The nursery caters for all children from birth to five years, with each age group having its own dedicated staff and rooms. Each area is colourful and bright with children's work on display, artistic wall/window murals and plentiful toys and resources. It also has a large, private outdoor area which has a sensory room, mud kitchen, giant sandpit plus lots of space for ride on toys, climbing frames and balancing beams.

The staff plan weekly themes, fun days and charity events to ensure all children have a stimulating and safe environment in which to learn and develop. To compliment this, it has professionals who give music and dance sessions four times a week, which parents can opt their children into. Leapfrog sports and football sessions are also provided.

The setting is part of the Startwell Healthy Lifestyle programme and children have a healthy diet and lots of daily exercise. The nursery can cater for different diets.

To keep parents informed, there is a closed Facebook Group, email system plus newsletters and an annual parents evening. More information can be found on their website.

It offers two, three- and four-year-old funding subject to availability and accepts nursery vouchers and registered for the Gov.t tax free childcare scheme. The nursery was rated 'Good' in all areas during the latest Ofsted inspection (April 2018).

Elmdon day nursery is such a lovely nursery. I couldn't recommend it enough. My daughter has been attending since she turned 1, she's now 2.5 years old and still runs in as happy as can be. She gets excited when I tell her she's going to nursery and she's come on leaps and bounds, which is all down
to the kind and friendly staff at the nursery.
The staff are great with communication, always giving their time to tell you about your child's day when you pick them up.
Thank you to Tracey and all the girls for caring for my little girl, I now know it's not going to be so daunting sending my second daughter there in August, as I already know that she'll be in great hands.

Our child is doing so well at this nursery, the staff seem very caring and always make the effort to tell us how our child has been whilst in their care and what he gets up to. The cottages provide a great structure for learning and my child seems to really enjoy it there.

We can't recommend Elmdon Day Nursery highly enough. Rose has attended since she was around 8 months old, and even from our first visit during pregnancy, the team have been incredible. It's clear how much they care for the children, and we know Rose is in the very best hands every single day.
The communication
is fantastic, and we love receiving the daily photos, it's so reassuring seeing how much fun she's having. Rose genuinely loves going in and is always happy and smiling. She has grown and developed so much during her time there, and it's great to see how the team introduce her to new experiences and help her learn and explore.
The outdoor space is great, the menu is excellent, and the baby room team are amazing. You can really see how much they care for Rose, and we're very grateful for everything they do.

I'm really happy with the nursery. Both of my children have been enrolled and have done wonderfully. Becky and Jen in the preschool rooms are fantastic; they truly nurture and care for my kids, which gives me peace of mind throughout the day. The care provided is heartfelt, and I always appreciate the
detailed feedback regarding their learning and achievements I receive at the end of each day.
The management team Tracey and Jenny are so friendly and have always been very accommodating.
Can not recommend this nursery enough!!

My son has been attending the nursey since 2024 we can't fault the nursey he has developed so well here
The staff are all so lovely, kind , caring and they communicate well with us they always let us know when we pick him up how his day has been what his been getting up to if there are any concerns
ect they are a credit to the nursey I have recommend the nursey to people I know and will continue to do so
Outer other son is starting there soon and I feel alot more relaxed after seeing how my other son has progressed there

We have sent both of our children to Elmdon Day Nursery. Our son is now in year 1 and still talks fondly of his memories of nursery from the baby room right up to preschool. He started in the baby room at 8 months old and left as a very confident 4 year old very ready for school! Our daughter is 1 and
currently in the baby room and we couldn't be happier with the care she has had so far. With both of our children having to be in full time nursery care due to our careers, it meant everything to us that we could trust all of the people we were leaving them with and this was always the case with Elmdon Day Nursery. Fab staff. Fab setting. Fab memories for our children.

The staff at Elmdon are brilliant. They show genuine care for the children. I like how they plan activities and there is a clear plan of how that task will aid the children's development. They have tried to make as much room outside as possible for the children to play. My son is happy when I observe
him there and his language and motor skills have come on in leaps and bounds since starting. Communication with parents is good and clear with daily pictures and a written summary covering what he has done, eaten, when changed etc.

My daughter started this year and has been enjoying it so much. The staff are so lovely and friendly - when you collect your child they always give you a detailed update on how they've been. My daughter has been coming to the nursery since she was 8 months old and has loved it from the very start! She is now 2 and still gets so excited to come, she loves naming all the staff and is always happy when dropped and picked up. The staff are amazing and always make a fuss of her; we have nothing

I am extremely happy with the nursery and cannot recommend it enough. I was so anxious for my little one starting nursery but all the staff has been so supportive! I am so grateful. I knew straight away Elmdon was the one for us - instant good vibes from the owner and her team,v.impressed with the building and facilities.
Great at accommodating different dietary requirements, our little boy is vegan and it was no trouble at all to cater for him-he eats a really good variety of
food each week. Love the daily photos - it's clear to see that he is having a blast and enjoying the amazing daily activities. The baby room team are awesome, they keep us informed of what's happening and if there are any issues let us know straight away - my son clearly loves them and now jumps into their arms at drop off! They really care about the babies' development (as well as having fun), we received our first report detailing how our son is progressing and next steps.
My little boy is so happy to head into nursery and this makes me so happy -as a first time mom I was expecting nursery to be a really daunting experience but thanks to Elmdon it's been an absolute delight for all of us.

My daughter has absolutely loved attending this nursery (currently in the baby room) since she started going about 9 months ago. The staff are very friendly and always change up the activities for the kids on a daily basis. My daughter attends the dance class every Thursday which she loves as well.
In addition, the nursery offers a very varied choice of meals for the kids every day which is amazing. I would highly recommend this nursery.

100% recommend Elmdon Day Nursery to anyone. The staff and manager are so lovely and kind and have been amazing with my son, who is now at school and my daughter who attends the nursery now.
My daughter always comes out of nursery happy and smiling so I know she's had a great day. Always lots of fun
and engaging activities. The garden space is fantastic with lots of space to run around and lots of lovely equipment. Couldn't have asked for a better nursery. Thank you all.

Lovely nursery. Great communication with staff. I know my daughter is in the best place and well cared for, she has lots of fun while I work! I love how transparent they are, I often get to see my daughter playing as I collect her. She is always happy and engaged in the enriching activities nursery
provide. Very safe with releasing daughter with other family members and always check with myself and have a password. A beautiful outdoor space too. Lots of people recommended Elmdon to me and I can see why! Thank you Elmdon Day Nursery

I am extremely happy with the nursery and cannot recommend it enough! My son absolutely loves attending, and it's clear to see how much he enjoys his time there. The team has been incredibly supportive, especially in helping him with his speech delay. The progress he has made has been amazing, and I
truly feel at ease knowing he's in such caring hands. His key workers are both so wonderful and attentive - they are absolutely adored by him. I'm confident that we've found the right place for him, and I'm relieved knowing we won't need to change nurseries until he starts school. The peace of mind this gives me is priceless. Our daughter has really settled in well at Elmdon Day Nursery. She enjoys attending and loves the painting activities and playing outdoors. The staff are all really friendly and easy to speak to. We feel our daughter is well looked after as well as their being a wide range of opportunities for our daughter
to develop interests and start to develop her own opinions. Over the term, our daughter's confidence has improved, she is a lot more vocal and expressive. As parents, we are really happy with the care our daughter receives and looking forward to seeing how she develops even more the longer she attends there.

Elmdon have been brilliant with my first children who are twins! As an anxious mum they have gone above and beyond to make the girls feel so welcomed and have helped them settle in. They work individually with my girls to encourage their interests and reassure them that they can still be together throughout
some of the day. My girls have really developed into confident little girls. The staff are all very helpful.
They have been wonderful in catering for one of my girls with a milk allergy too!
