My son has been attending the nursery for nearly 6 months now and he loves it, it's very comforting to know he actually wants to go in the mornings when I'm at work. The nursery was fantastic helping him settle in and made a picture collage for me of his first day as they knew that I was feeling emotional going back to work. The activities they do are extremely varied and my son has come on leaps and bounds. The food is great too, the menu is very varied and the food looks and smells lovely too. The management team are lovely and are really approachable, I feel confident that the nursery staff are in wise hands.
We only left because my job moved and both of us miss it daily.
A wonderful purpose built nursery, with excellent catering, and all the facilities you would expect - but the thing that makes it are the staff.
They always give a daily handover and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do.
Excellent care of our little prince. Friendly and professional staff. Supports friendship and kind behaviour. Lots of outdoor activities in the beautiful garden. Interesting menu. I would definitely recommend!
Both of our children have benefitted from the friendly, thoughtful personalised care delivered in a great environment. Our older child has now gone on to school and staff there have commented on how well prepared she had been by the nursery.
All the staff are friendly, welcoming and show professionalism and care to all the children. My son loves going and we'll miss it when he goes to school in September this year. The food provided is brilliant and a good variety. The learning and development skills my son has gained is amazing. He enjoys listening to the staff reading and loves to play in the garden, especially bike riding.
He has a cow's milk allergy and I went in to speak to the manager and they were more than happy to accommodate his needs, even having dairy free ice cream there on occasion. He has now started having some dairy products to try to re-introduce him and I have spoken to the cook who is happy to listen to me about what he can and can't have.
When I drop him, I don't get a backwards glance from him as he goes into his room and is immediately settled and playing.
I can't recommend this nursery highly enough, they treat every child individually and bring the best out of them.
I have a Son who went to the Nursery from 1-4 yrs and now our second son attends. Everyone is very professional and friendly, our child looks forward to going and is excited to tell us about his day. We have never had any complaint or cause for concern. We have recommended the Nursery to other family members.
Always confident my daughter has had a fun packed day. She learns so much and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I think there are lots of facilities and activities for her to learn from and make her day enjoyable.
All staff at the Swindon Hospital Nursery are very welcoming, friendly and very approachable. My daughter has now been going for a year and she has come on leaps and bounds with all the activities and socialisation that goes with the nursery so much so she doesn't always want to come home when I go to collect her - to me that says a lot and is a credit to the nursery of how comfortable, confident and familiar she is with the staff and fellow peers. I haven't got one fault with the nursery and would highly recommend it. It's the best thing I have done and made going back to work a lot easier knowing my daughter has brilliant care.
The team at Co-op Swindon are amazing. They really go the extra mile to settle children and get to know them. I'm confident that all the staff know my boys (age 1 and 4) and will do their best to care for them and educate them creatively, whilst minimising my stress! In addition, the meals are good and nappies and other personal care products are provided making parents' lives easier. I would highly recommend this nursery-my boys love it.
I have two children who attend this nursery, and both of them enjoy going. The nursery is a little limited on outdoor space, but they have mode the most of what they have got, and they encourage the children to go outside as much as possible. The children have access to a whole range of toys and games and different activities are always being arranged to encourage them. It is a really friendly environment and the staff have been very welcoming and flexible and really worked with us and listened to us and our individual requirements.
My little boy started at the Co-operative Childcare Hospital Nursery in Swindon on my return to work from maternity leave. It was very hard to leave my little one but the staff at the nursery were and continue to be fantastic. They made the transition a lot easier and my little boy loves his days at nursery.
The atmosphere in the nursery is great. It is a very Lovely place. The staff is very nice always happy to help, well presented and attentive. Staff seem caring and knowledgeable always happy to help. Kids always seem happy around the staff, busy doing things and enjoying themselves, kids seem well controlled and with good manners. The outdoor area is wonderful, my son loves it and it is a great space for them to play with each other. It is great the importance of food and nutrition that the nursery applies and the idea to increase 5 a day with free fruit for kids to take home is excellent. It would be nice maybe some time to do world food and ask parents if need help getting a recipe together.
My daughter has been at Swindon Co-op from 1 years old and will be graduating from preschool this year. Throughout her time at the nursery staff have given her excellent care and attention and showed genuine interest in her. She has learned a great deal and staff have made every effort to support any learning needs I have highlighted. I believe the nursery has given her an excellent start to socialising; varying her diet, and learning.
My child has been attending this nursery for nearly 4 years and still loves going. He is now a confident, outgoing child, ready for school. Very friendly staff. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help.
I had to change nursery when my daughter was 3. She'd been at her other one since she was 14months old, so I was worried about moving her. My fears were unfounded; she settled in pretty much immediately. The staff are all wonderful with her. They deal well with her 'spirited' personality and she has flourished there. We are amazed every week by new things she has learnt. It's a fantastic place which she loves. We'll be very sad when she leave for school in September!
I have had two children pass through the nursery in each age class. Both have very different personalities and needs and the nursery has gone above and beyond every day to give them fantastic learning experiences and have fun in the process. The staff are all so friendly and approachable and could not fault any of them in any way. Children are always well fed and come home telling me stories of all they have done and the friends they have made.
We went and looked at over 5 Nursery's in the Swindon area and even though The Co-operative Childcare Swindon Hospital Nursery was a little out of our way, we are extremely impressed from the start with the attitude and friendliness of the staff, the rooms and outside area and how happy the children appeared. Our daughter has now been there for nearly two years and has been in three of the four rooms, all the way from a baby to a happy 2 and a half year old. I credit the nursery with how rounded our daughter is. She loves going and her key member of staff in each room has been brilliant. All the staff from the kitchen to the front office interact and are interested in the children, both in terms of their development and having fun. I couldn't recommend this nursery more if you want peace of mind when you're having to go to work.
This is my son's first nursery and he went in from the age of one. From the beginning, the staff have all been amazing starting with the taster sessions a few months ago. They were extremely accommodating and really helped him settle in. Since going full time, he has loved going to this nursery and his daily reports have made interesting reading. The management and staff are always welcoming and personable making the process in the early days much easier. He has now settled into his room, which has loads of activities indoors and outdoors which he loves and they are all well suited to a young boys needs. The menu and food are excellent and he is defiantly getting his fill during the day (I'm having to up my game at home!!). There are no hidden costs, his food and nappies are all included. I would highly recommend the Nursery, and it's been a pleasure to send my boy there.
Being a first-time mum leaving my baby was quite scary. The staff in the baby room were all very good and made me feel comfortable with leaving him, I like having the review when I pick him up, by knowing what he has eaten, slept and played with. There's a good variety of food at meal times. He has learnt lots of new things and got lots of new interests through playing with all the toys and activities. The variety of toys in the garden, outdoor space is also good too.

Meet the Team (2)
I have worked at the nursery since the day it opened in 2003 and have loved developing it into the amazing place it is today! I have over 30 years of experience in childcare and use my knowledge and experience to build the team and the nursery to be the best.
As a mum of 2, I know what things are important to families and cascade these thoughts and feelings to the team so they get a true understanding and empathy towards our families.
I was first introduced to the Little Pioneers nursery when I completed a placement here as part of my college training back in 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, so much so that I applied for a position and became a colleague as soon as I completed my training! I have worked my way up from Nursery Nurse to Room Manager, Third in charge and most recently I have taken on the role of the Deputy Manger. I worked in the 2-3s and under 2 ages mainly. I am the nursery SENCO and enjoy supporting families that need a little bit more support for their child. I work full time so you will get to see me every day, I'm always happy to stop for a chat and if you need to pick my brains about something then I'm here for you!
