Sixpenny Day Nursery

Sixpenny are great! They know all the children and the activities/resources they provide are excellent. My daughter loves everyone.

I regularly collect my niece from nursery and always love coming in to find out all about her day. The activities are varied and engaging, and my niece is always so excited to tell me all about her day! The outdoor areas are outstanding and this provides the children with incredible opportunities to learn through the world around them. The team are always helpful and friendly, giving detailed handovers about her day! I know my niece is incredibly happy at Sixpenny and we will miss it lots when she goes to school in September!

The staff in the toddler room are amazing, they go above and beyond every day to make sure the children are looked after. My daughter loves coming to nursery at Sixpenny!

Our twins absolutely love going to Sixpenny and we love sending them there: the staff are brilliant, compassionate, and fun, and it's so brilliant for us to know that they are getting thoughtful, fun, structured activities during the day. The staff are always so good-humoured and the management team have always been really supportive - communication is fantastic.

My little one loves this nursery! She's really started to come out of her shell and the days she spends here are helping to shape her. The staff are really friendly and helpful! The meals they provide are varied and they make sure to check for allergens. The outside areas are remarkable and make great experiences for the children!

The staff are the best thing about this nursery. They provide an excellent level of care and my child is very happy here. However, since this setting has been taken over by the Old Station Nursery Group, the fees have increased significantly. This is far, far higher than other nurseries in the area and way above inflation / other factors like NI increase etc. Sadly the funds have not been put back into the setting and the facilities are tired. Very disappointing to see what is an excellent nursery being squeezed for profits. This is unfair on the children, parents and staff.

My son attended Six Pennys at 8 months and has thrived and loved every second. Seeing him run down the corridor every morning and watching him embrace the staff shows how happy and comfortable he is there. He has experienced so many lovely things and is able to interact with lots of different people. His speech has come on so much and he clearly loves being in this setting. The staff are all lovely and so helpful in any situation. Highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter started Sixpenny's in January, and she has settled in really quickly. I am impressed by the level of care she has received and the effort staff put in to have a variety of activities each day. Since starting nursery my daughter sleeps better and is growing in confidence. Would definitely recommend

Sending my son to this nursery was the best thing I've done. The staff are fantastic, and genuinely care about him and his progression. He is learning so much, and is given the freedom to grow with the support of the team. They update me all the time, and make is easier to drop him off.

They are keen to try new things that we try at home but equally give us recommendations to. The team have made such an effort to get to know my child and her interests. Leaving your baby is made so much easier knowing they are well looked after and cared for. Thank you!

My daughter enjoys nursery with all of her friends. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and she loves to play in the garden. She will regularly talk about the resident goats and now she likes to feed them

I have nothing but good things to say about everyone that works here. I couldn't think of a better place for my son to be while I'm at work.

I really enjoy reading the learning stories and being able to work on the same things to improve his learning.

We have been really impressed with the level of care provided to our son by Sixpenny Day Nursery. The staff are professional, committed and friendly and we have enjoyed being involved in our son's educational activities which are imaginative, creative and tailored to his needs. It is always a difficult decision to leave your child in somebody else's care, but with the staff and facilities at Sixpenny, we have never had to worry.

Sixpenny is such a wonderful nursery. We have been Sixpenny parents since 2018 and the experience has been great for both our children. Right from the start in babies through to starting school the staff have always shown the highest level of care and attention to the children. Each day we have a full handover of what they have been doing during the day, including what they have eaten and napped. This makes us feel fully involved. We also receive photos and videos of activities during the day. Both my children have been very happy during there time here and have made great relationships with all the staff.

I would thoroughly recommend Sixpenny nursery to anyone looking at nurseries. My daughter has extra sensory and food needs and they cater to her beautifully. She always has such a happy time there she doesn't really want to leave when I pick her up. They have brilliant outside space and go outside every day if they can. They also have a wonderful sensory room. There are always planned activities the children can take part in, but often my daughter isn't interested in these and they happily leave her to play if she prefers this.

The nursery has been fantastic for our little boy. The staff are always very happy and helpful and there's always plenty of activities for the kids along with the amazing amount of outside space and facilities. The nursery always looks clean and well maintained and very well managed overall.

Every single staff member at Sixpenny is so warm, welcoming and kind. I'm really glad we chose this nursery and we would 100% choose it again for future children.

A lovely nursery and staff, my little boy was so happy there and got to experience lots of unique activities. The few months before school he was there they supported me with the process and continuously supported him in his learning.

A lovely setting - I was anxious about sending my twins to a nursery especially as one has additional needs but I couldn't have asked for anywhere better. Incredibly inclusive, well managed and very organised SEN support. They also helped with transition to school. Highly recommend.
