I have felt in the last year the overall care and communication is lacking from this nursery. I get a very loveless handover with basic information which always consists of playing outside or playing. There has been a high staff turnover causing my child to have 3 different key workers whilst in sky.
The policy with lunch means my child usually comes home hungry. I feel there isn’t very much effort in encouraging the children to eat or finding exciting ways of getting distracted children to try the meals provided.

We are very happy with Kindred Nursery in Winterbourne Earls. Our daughter’s key worker is amazing with her caring, understanding and fun. We feel the staff share in our child’s achievements and successes and take as much joy in them as we do. Our daughter settled in so quickly and loves her days there.

Kindred Winterbourne Earls is a truly fantastic setting. My daughter absolutely loves coming here. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, and they’ve made a huge effort to make her feel welcome. Every time I collect her I always receive very thorough feedback about her day, from what she’s eaten
to which activities she’s participated in. The office staff are also really efficient and are very quick to respond to emails, no matter how small the query. They have a huge variety of learning resources and the children spend a great deal of time outdoors. I genuinely believe my daughter couldn’t be happier at any other setting, and I highly recommend Winterbourne Earls - it’s brilliant!

Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am the Nursery Manager here at Kindred Winterbourne.


I hold a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education, and I started work at Durrington in September 2017 after returning from maternity leave with my little girl. My journey started as a Level 3 practitioner; however, just before going on maternity leave with my son in 2019, I had the amazing opportunity to start my journey into a more senior role, becoming a Room Leader.


I have progressed my career since working at Kindred Durrington, holding roles as Nursery SENCO and Deputy Manager before becoming Nursery Manager in January 2023. Since then, I have managed our Pre-school nursery in Amesbury and became the Nursery manager here at Kindred Winterbourne in March 2026.

I have worked in childcare across a variety of ages from 3 months plus for nearly 13 years. I started my childcare career in 2010 at an outdoor nursery, where I completed my levels 2 and 3 in Early Years. This has given me some amazing experience and has helped me gain a wide range of knowledge which I have brought to Kindred.


I joined the Kindred family in 2018 as a room leader and have since worked my way up to Deputy Manager and nursery SENCO. My passion is respectful care, ensuring we follow a respectful and unhurried approach to the children's development and care, ensuring they are given the opportunities to flourish and develop into confident children ready for the next steps in their journey.
