Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery Ltd is a private full day care setting.
It offers a purpose-built interior that is suited to the development and learning potential of all children.

It is an excellent nursery with a wonderful home from home feel with highly qualified staff. Staff at Jabberwocky have excellent and varied experience in the childcare sector. This gives Jabberwocky a diversity of skills and ideas which helps them provide children with a very wide range of activities and learning opportunities.

They offer an enhanced provision for children that goes above and beyond the normal activities on offer. The enhanced provision includes extracurricular activities which include; Forest School, Football with coach, PE with coach, French with Sarah, Boogie Beat with Carrie, school readiness programme, outings in the local area to provide children with real life learning opportunities. Visits to the local residential home and much more.

The nursery has its own outdoor play areas and use of the beautiful Arboretum which is the nursery's Forest School, allowing for a greater depth of activities to be enjoyed.

The service was established with the philosophy that children need to be nurtured in a loving, inspiring and fulfilling environment. Learning is effortless when experienced through joy, play and exploration.

My child has been at Jabberwocky only a short time, but in that time has developed so much in her speech, movement and general understanding. The staff were wonderful and so supportive of our child. I would highly recommend Jabberwocky to anyone.

Our daughter attended Jabberwocky from 12 months to recently. We cannot fault the nursery; the staff are so warm and caring, it’s fun and every day she has varied activities, delicious home-cooked food, detailed reports daily home with pictures and the atmosphere was friendly and so personal. Throughout
the pandemic, they have kept parents fully informed and been very vigilant to the point so we felt staff and kids were safe.
We are so sorry to be saying goodbye to such an incredible place which has definitely contributed to our child’s happiness and sociability.

We recently moved to the area and our daughter started at Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery about a month ago. We have been totally blown away by the wonderful care she has been provided with at Jabberwocky.
The staff provide the very best environment and experiences for all the children in their care.
The provision and opportunities provided for children are always carefully planned and thought out and allow the children to have so many wonderful experiences.
The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the children are so excited to see them everyday. We love that our daughter gets to go outside, walk to the park, bake, eat delicious homemade food, all in such a beautiful homely environment.
The staff even provided parents with hot chocolate and homemade cookies at pick up this week - they really do go the extra mile everyday! If you need a nursery for your child I really would highly recommend Jabberwocky they are amazing!

My son has attended Jabberwocky since October 2020. The baby room team made the transition for both me and my son smooth and I have the utmost trust in the team. I am given clear daily feedback on my sons day, this includes activities he has participated in, how he’s eaten, drank, nappy changes and
sleep times. All this is given to me verbally and written. I chose Jabberwocky for my son as their resources are natural and curious.
Their ethos incorporates looking after our world.

Jabberwocky is a wonderful place for children, my daughter absolutely loves going. I have seen massive change in her self confidence, which continues to grow. The staff are very friendly and give you a lot of information about your child's day. My daughter has two staff members in her "bubble" and
has formed a lovely relationship with them both and this has really helped her settle in.
The activities that they offer, includes forest school where they have the use of local arboretum, with a yurt. Music, dancing, painting, drawing, cooking and jumping in puddles is a firm favourite, wellies and puddle suit is a must!
They are eco-conscience and use a lot of natural play items, and themes and they give the children opportunities to explore in a safe but meaningful way. They have homemade meals cooked on-site by their own cook. There is outdoor areas on site, which are full of interesting things to explore, and when able they explore local sites too.

When it came to looking for a nursery for our first child, Jabberwocky to us was the obvious choice. Having looked at other options, nowhere felt as warm and welcoming as here and we have gone on to send our second child here too. The staff are wonderful, you get a real sense that they genuinely care
about the children and want to provide the best experience for them. A big draw for us was the space they have and having a kitchen on-site to provide home-cooked meals. Over the past 18 months a huge amount of effort and money has gone into refurbishing the inside and outside space, in addition to this is their forest school which provides an amazing outside learning space which is very important to us. You continually get the feeling they are striving to make it the best it can be for the little ones and our two certainly love it. A big thank you to all the staff!

Jabberwocky Nursery is an exceptional nursery and my 2 children absolutely adore going there. The staff are so kind, friendly and create such a welcoming and safe environment.

During this pandemic Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery have not failed to keep the nursery as inviting and fun as always.
My grandchildren talk about all the activities that they are involved in from Forest School, football and French.
They tell me about the friendships they have made with the staff
and their peers and are always happy at drop off and pick up.

Jabberwocky is the most beautiful setting for preschool children. My daughter loves attending and has flourished as did her brother before.
She is so happy there she refers to her sessions as “going to friends” - this speaks volumes!
The staff are both professional, nurturing and caring. Our daughter
enjoys both indoor and outdoor settings and loves her Forest School time.
Their safeguarding, catering and medical aspects are also first-class.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone seeking a professional, supportive, educational, caring environment for their child(ren).

Our son has been going to Jabberwocky since he was nearly 11-months-old. He is now 3 and we are so pleased we chose Jabberwocky for him! The care and support offered is amazing. The staff are very kind and nurturing, nothing is too much trouble. Our son has built lovely relationships with the staff
in each room and knowing he is happy and settled definitely makes leaving him whilst we are working a lot easier.
The facilities and opportunities are great, from baking and painting to exploring the lovely outdoor areas and now he is older our son really enjoys the wonderful forest school.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Jabberwocky to other parents.

We have had two children at Jabberwocky since 2015. Both have loved it. The staff are warm and nurturing and my wife and I are both shift workers, the understanding they have shown to our circumstances has been second to none.
Both my children have always come out of nursery bouncing having had an
active and fun-filled day. In short, I can't recommend Jabberwocky enough!

My daughter has been attending Jabberwocky since September 2018 and engages in lots of fun activities, from painting to baking to visiting the local market and exploring their garden areas, whether in the mud kitchen or playing with water! I get to view her engagements in activities via her tapestry
journal and on the Facebook and Instagram page, so whilst at work, I can see what she has been up to. The bond between the staff and children is great and I feel like I’m leaving her in the care of family. I feel confident and happy leaving her to explore and learn whilst I go to work.

I am so pleased that we chose to send our daughter to Jabberwocky. The standard of care by the staff is outstanding and they were so kind in helping her settle in.
Our daughter takes part in a huge range of activities such as forest school, French, football, cooking and walks into town as well as crafts,
outdoor play, singing, stories and lots more. Our daughter has learnt so much in just 4 months and her confidence and her ability to be without me (her mum) has increased greatly. Jabberwocky is the perfect environment for getting her school ready and she is very happy there.
