Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Taunton)

Brilliant staff, our main reason for choosing Mama Bears was the long-serving management and staff retention. The outside space has been vastly extended and improved, which was also a big selling point for us, as other local nurseries lacked these facilities.

My child is always happy to go to the nursery and enjoys every day there. We get regular updates most days via the parent app so can see what she is doing while she is there. Staff always very friendly and helpful where needed.

All in all this nursery is brilliant!

Lovely nursery with amazing staff. Excellent feedback is given at the end of each day, lots of time spent outside and great menus. Our son has been looked after for the last four years and thanks to the nursery staff, he is ready to start school in September.

I love the engagement my son has with both the staff and other children. He is always happy and loves telling us of his daily experiences when he gets home. Recently (due to the arrival of his little sister) there have been a couple of occasions, where he has not wanted to be left in nursery at morning drop-off.

The staff always go the extra mile when required to inform us that he has settled, which keeps my wife happy and allows her to continue with her day without regrets.

My girls really love to go to the nursery, they are really learning many things! I have already recommended it to many friends of ours because we like everything about it: not only the activities that are planned but also the fact that every child is helped to reach the maximum in everything.

I can't recommend the Taunton nursery higher. The staff there are helpful, caring and supportive. My little boy started in the baby room last November and had the usual struggles settling, but the staff were fantastic at reassuring me and giving him the time he needed. They were always flexible with his routine and provided lots for him to play and grow. He has really come on lots since starting and we are really sad that his time here has come to an end.

I find Mama Bear's to be a fantastic nursery, well organised with the children's best interests as the number one priority. Very friendly and helpful staff who are only too happy to provide help and advice if asked. The nursery is of a good size that offers the right level of interaction with the children and is ideally located in Taunton to meet our needs. Greater flexibility on available days would be good, but the limited availability is a consequence of how good the nursery is.

Everyone at Mama Bears is completely devoted to the care of children, they have endless enthusiasm, humour and patience. It is small enough to be personal but large enough to allow children to engage in group activities and develop numerous friendships. Activities are varied, outside play is encouraged and feedback is provided daily.

Lovely nursery, staff friendly and helpful. Give me good daily written and verbal info on my child's day.

Inside space is good with some fantastic hand built role play areas.

They do a good range of daily activities including messy play and cooking which my child loves.

Outside space could be bigger but is fine. Some more outdoor activities/trips might be nice.

My daughter is always keen and happy to go in, which says it all for me.

Very happy with Mama Bears Taunton. My son has been there for 4 years and has enjoyed it very much. So much sometimes that he doesn't want to come home when we pick him up. Friendly staff who keep them entertained throughout the day. My son is always tired at the end of the day through learning and play.

All staff are approachable and very friendly. Levels of communication between staff and parents are always open. The nursery provides a wide range of activities and all staff present as showing a high level of commitment to the development and welfare of the children.

Since my daughter has been attending Mama Bears, she has become a more confident, little girl. Staff are always happy to help in trying to make sure my daughter is happy when I drop her off and she is always happy and content when myself or daddy collects her. The daily info sheets are helpful so we know what activities my daughter has been up to during her session. My daughter has also become less fussy with food as she sees other children in her session eating the same which helps so we then get the same food for home to encourage her to eat what she has eaten at school.

I love hearing about all the different activities he does and feel safe in the knowledge that he is being well looked after.

Excellent staff and facilities. My child is always very happy to go to nursery. He takes part in a range of stimulating activities whilst there and seems to particularly enjoy the messy play. I am always impressed with the level of enthusiasm and energy from the staff and I cannot fault the communication and updates I receive.

Dedicated staff who obviously take great pride in what they do. As a result my daughter has always enjoyed coming to Mama Bear's and has really thrived here. The activities show great variety, the food is good, and she has always felt very welcome and safe. Well done!
