They told me my child had not left the nursery for any school trip even though the others went to the park up the road because they realised after they'd taken my child there that I hadn't ticked he was allowed to go on a permission form.
I looked at the doorbell footage because I didn't believe them and I was right not to. I then confronted various members of staff and was able to get the truth and was told that The manager not only lied to me but also asked them to lie to me and they were very upset about doing so.
I am grateful I have the truth but feel sick to think that she would lie about that. She should take it seriously being honest to parents.
I have immediately taken my child out. It is not safe to leave your child there with someone that will lie.
Have sent both my sons to Blossom Lodge. Great facilities, imaginative activities, lovely outdoor play area and they have animals which my boys love. Very attentive, friendly, caring staff. The food is all homemade and the menu changes regularly. My children are/were very happy there.
My child thoroughly enjoys his time at Blossom Lodge. The nursery has excellent outdoor/indoor facilities. I think it’s great that the children get lots of outdoor time to explore nature. My son has thrived in confidence and social skills and knowledge since attending Blossom Lodge.
Both my sons have attended Blossom Lodge Day Nursery, one still there currently. They have provided both children a safe and nurturing environment, enabling them to flourish. The activities are varied and based on interests of the children. The staff are warm, welcoming and kind. Would recommend to anyone that will listen.
My daughter has been at the nursery for 2 years. In that time she has always been very happy to go. She has formed strong bonds with her carers. I have always found the staff very nurturing and caring. I would highly recommend Blossom Lodge. The activities are very varied and I am always impressed with what they get up to! I've had nothing but positive experiences.
The staff are very friendly and some will often go above and beyond for you, especially when trying to settle them into their rooms.
Communication is clear. You have the app which staff update with what your child is doing, eating (even toileting when young). They use the app to make announcements too (holidays, special occasions etc.) so you are in the know. Letters are also given out with any big changes, such as changing rooms and they tell you what will happen.
Food is all cooked at the nursery. The chef is clearly Michelin star approved in my son's eyes as he doesn’t want my food, yet scoffs all food at nursery happily! Just don’t let the team leader make the toast because ‘she burns it’ according to my son.
They do lots of fun activities and outdoor play every day. My son has progressed well.
One of the standout features of Blossom Lodge is their fantastic outdoor space. It's more than just a playground; it's a place where my children have learned to appreciate nature, develop their physical skills and enjoy fresh air and sunshine. The emphasis on outdoor play and learning has been invaluable in their overall development.
Another aspect we've been consistently impressed with is the quality of meals and food provided. The menu is diverse, nutritious and always prepared with care. It's reassuring to know that my children are getting balanced meals that they enjoy eating.
Overall, Blossom Lodge Day Nursery has been a wonderful place for my children to grow, learn and thrive.
The room staff have always been excellent but there has been a bit of staff turnover since he has been in the older age group but he doesn’t seem to be phased.
He loves the food and there seems to be a good variety!
Well organised and management responds quickly to any queries.
Very happy and plan to send our second child too.
Our daughter has been at Blossom Lodge Day Nursery since she was 10 months old, she starts school this year and I can honestly say she has thrived whilst being here. She has always bonded well with both her key workers as well as the other staff. There is never an issue at drop-off. Staff communication is very good, both via the app with daily updates and also at pick-up. They always listen at drop-off and refer back to it at the end of the day if I have highlighted something to keep an eye on. Overall, very happy with this setting and would recommend.
When he struggled with his progression to preschool, staff went out of their way to support us, sending home pictures of the following days' activities so we could prepare him for what he would be doing. Highly recommended.
She is engaged in a range of activities every week and spends time outside often. Staff have been positive and receptive when we offer suggestions on topics to cover, e.g. Ramadan. This helped bridge the gap of what is familiar at home and at school so my daughter feels integrated, even if there is a lack of diversity within the group of children in her class.
We have also been fully supported and guided by staff to get her over the line with toilet training - from pull-ups when she started to now being fully trained, even throughout the night.
The children are encouraged to do most things independently which has had a brilliant effect on my daughter’s confidence too. We receive regular updates, photos and observations from staff which keeps us involved with our daughter’s learning and development.
I have two children at Blossom Lodge, one has been there for nearly three years and the other just over a year. Both are thriving and love it! The team there clearly care and adore the kids, and carry out out so many creative activities with them. They get them outside as much as the weather allows and they have lots of fun things outdoors for them. Also there’s a menagerie of pets including a tortoise, gerbils and bird! The team use an app to communicate with parents and send photos through the day and give lots of info on what the kids have been up to and give a good handover at the end of the day when I pick them up. They give individual kids extra attention and support when needed which I’ve really appreciated. Fantastic nursery and really pleased my kids have learned and thrived there with a great team.
Staff are extremely professional but most of all very caring, respectful and reassuring.
Always making sure our daughter feels welcomed and listened to in the morning and great at communicating with us how she is doing.
Their activities are always engaging and appropriate for the children’s age and very oriented to support their development.
I could not recommend them enough.
We are very happy.
The place is always clean and well looked after.
Blossom Lodge staff are incredibly lovely and our daughter has been going there since she was 4 months, currently 2 years and 7 months, so she has grown up there and everyone who comes in appreciates all the key workers and room staff.
The management has been excellent, very prompt at replying to emails.
They aren’t the biggest rooms but in some ways that is good so your child can’t get lost. Food-wise, is difficult to comment, our daughter is very fussy so think her not eating much is her fussiness rather than a problem with the food.
Our 2-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoys all the activities and the great outdoor play space. She has bonded well with her key carer and the team identified and has enabled her to develop her skills further with additional individual tasks. We get lots of updates on the app and appreciate the rundown of her day we get from the care team at each pickup.
Our twin girls have been at Blossom Lodge for just under two years now (started in the baby room) and they love it. They are wonderfully cared for and looked after. Our children’s communication and early learning is coming along great and we couldn’t be happier with the care and teaching at Blossom Lodge.
My daughter has attended Blossom Lodge since January 2023 and her development has come on leaps and bounds since joining. The staff seem caring and have been really patient with my daughter, especially during her early months when she had some medical requirements. She was also very wary of other children when she first started and her social confidence has massively improved following encouragement and patience from the staff too. We get regular updates via the app which is always reassuring, they do varied activities with the children, and any communication is always quickly responded to. Would highly recommend.
Two of my grandchildren have/are attending the nursery. I am a retired early years practitioner who worked with children with additional needs. I therefore can be very critical of day nurseries. I have been and continue to be very happy with Blossom Lodge. Both children are happy and settled in very quickly. The keyworker system is well used which enables staff and children to know each other. Transitions are handled well when staff change or as children grow and friendships are fostered. The communication between the nursery, the parents and other people working with the children are very good enabling joined-up care. For the first year of their time at the nursery I looked after my grandchildren one day a week and enjoyed singing the same songs, reading the same stories, exploring the same themes - helping them to generalise their learning. Most of all I love how happy they are to be there!
I always recommend Blossom Lodge to friends, we have felt really lucky to have found it.
