Bright Horizons Poole Montessori Day Nursery and Preschool

Our child started at this nursery when he was about nine months old and settled in better than I could have hoped for. He has been there over a year and is so happy to arrive everyday to see his friends and the wonderful staff. It is a smaller nursery compared to others I viewed and a bit more expensive but when we first visited we could tell it would be worth it for the close bonds with the staff and the level of attention the children get. In such a difficult year, where he has missed out on spending time with family, the care and kindness of the staff have enriched his development and developed his social skills immensely. Communication with the nursery is great and nothing is too much trouble to ensure we are reassured and my child is treated as an individual. Highly recommend.

My son is about to start school after being here since he was 1. He has loved his time- 2 days a week for 3 1/2 years- and I've loved feeling confident that he is going to such great care. The excellent support and teaching methods really prepared him for the next stage of his life and will make the transition to 'big school' as straight forward as it could be. The fees are slightly more than others in the area, but this is the price you pay for a smaller more personal nursery experience, with staff who stay, feel cared for and passionate about their work. I'd rather pay a bit more, rather than make a small saving and chuck him into a massive faceless nursery where the staff are constantly changing, and he has no consistency. I couldn't have asked for more from a nursery. In short, the management and team are just fabulous- the girls are all so sweet and really care for the kids and enjoy working with them. It's a pleasure to chat with them on pick up and drop off and I will miss them.

I couldn’t recommend this small, personable nursery more highly. We spent a lot of time selecting a nursery, and Bright Horizons in Penn Hill really stood out against the others we saw. The manager and her team are excellent and really do care about each individual child as if they were their own. My child has grown in confidence over the time they have been attending and really enjoys seeing the team and the friends they have made.

An all-round good nursery. A feeling of the nursery being understaffed is felt most days at pick up. Deputy managers seem to come and go very quickly making it hard to form relationships with. However, my daughter has had an amazing time and enjoyed herself, never worries about safeguarding. Do feel the nursery is overpriced compared to similar priced nurseries with larger outside facilities in the area.

My Grandson always looks forward to attending Poole Montessori. He comes home an extremely happy boy wanting to tell me all about the things he has learnt during the day!

All of the staff at Montessori are welcoming, kind and happy. My daughter loves going to nursery, trotts off with a smile on her face and comes home still smiling! (And tired - means she's been kept occupied) They do lots of activities and really do care for the children! So much so it's like your child is their's in the way they are cared for. I have complete faith leaving my child at Montessori it will be a sad day when she leaves in a year.

The nursery is always clean and tidy. My daughter really enjoys playing with the toys in the garden and can do so with the help from the gazebo whatever the weather.

My son has had a wonderful experience at Bright Horizons Poole Montessori Day Nursery and Preschool. The staff are all so kind and nurturing. Activities are varied and exciting and I feel that my son has come on leaps and bounds since he started.

He always comes home with artwork and has made lots of lovely friends. We will all miss the nursery and the lovely staff that work there!

I find this nursery to be very effective in teaching, playing and all round aspects of nurturing a child. My daughter has excelled in so many ways since joining here including in her speech and confidence which has grown immensely.

It's nice to know he is cared for and that his needs are met. His unique interests are encouraged, he loves to learn. His social skills are developing all the time and nursery definitely helps improve daily activities, such as sitting at the table to eat and potty training. My son is always happy going to and coming from nursery which is a comfort to me.

I have used Bright Horizons Poole for roughly three years, firstly with my son, and now with his younger sister. What I like about the nursery is the low rate of staff turnover. Most of the nursery workers have been there for a number of years and show genuine care and compassion for the children that they look after. They are an experienced team and effectively embed the Montessori approach into the children’s general activities. Both of my children have always been well cared for at the nursery and have always really enjoyed their time there.

I would recommend this nursery highly! The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. My child had so many new opportunities here and has made lots of new friends. She runs through the door without a look back! They have dancing classes and sports classes every week and they play outside lots. My daughter always brings lots of artwork home and always has lots to tell me about her day!

My child has attended Pebbles for the last 6 months and has received excellent personalised care from the word go. The staff communicate well with me and each other. My child settles well each day and likewise always seems very happy at the end of the day.

Our little family love Stepping Stones and Pebbles Nursery. All of the staff are super friendly and it is a really welcoming environment to play and learn. Our son has a great time, he particularly likes the visitors that come in to teach dancing and playing bikes in the garden. The communication between nursery and home is fantastic. The nursery keep a 'learning journey' of all key developments for each child which they invite you in to review. My husband and I enjoy seeing what he's been up to while we are at work and its great to see the many activities they do (that the children cannot tell you about). We are really happy with our choice of nursery and would highly recommend to others.

My daughter goes to Pebbles nursery and loves it. The staff do everything they can to help. They do lots of different activities with the children and have a nice outside space. They also take them out of the nursery to the woods or the pet shop which is lovely. The staff take the time to give you feedback each session verbally and written down. We are very pleased with it.

The staff at Stepping Stones could not have been more supportive to us as a family while settling my daughter into the nursery. They have done it with love, care and a smile.

I moved to the area in Feb 2015 and needed a place for both of my sons and Stepping Stones has such a good reputation that I knew this was the place for them to go. Stepping Stones in all aspects is second to none! The standard of education is simply amazing and perfect for my two little sponges! The staff are so friendly, feedback each day is fantastic, the environment is clean, educational and always happy. My children have been given the best start to their education before school. I honestly couldn't be happier and have recommended to many friends who's children now attend the nursery.

A fantastic nursery, all staff are fully supportive and welcoming. My daughter always enjoys each day and comes home with lots of fun pictures. They were very good with her lactose intolerance when she was younger!

The development and support for our child was excellent. I think as she is now approaching 4 years old her learning and further development has now become limited. I cannot fault the staff/team over the first 3 years of my child's time. Stimulation/learning skills need to be further encouraged with more feedback to parents especially with school on the horizon.

Our first child was in this same nursery. The staff are very professional and caring, always helping us and informing of our child's progress and what has happened during the day i.e nappy changes, food and drink intake and activities. They are very hands on and creative.
