Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road)

The manager and the team have been very supportive to me and I’m very glad I chose this nursery for my child.

All 3 of my children have attended Long Road nursery and I highly recommend it. They are very welcoming and great with the children. The service they provide is amazing! They have some lovely outdoor space and the rooms are very welcoming and interactive too.

Getting updates on nappy changes/food eaten etc daily via an app is a massive bonus. Overall very happy with Mama Bear's.

My son started at Mama Bears Long Road in October 2022. Right from the start when I went to look around to now the team have been very helpful, attentive and supportive. I cannot thank the team in the baby room enough for how hard they worked and the patience they showed in helping my little boy (and us!) to integrate into nursery life. My son absolutely loves nursery and it’s clear when he returns home how much he has enjoyed himself. He has come on leaps and bounds in his speech and his general overall development as a result of being at the nursery just 2 days per week because of the activities and stimulation and attention he gets when he is there. The team in the baby room always have a chat with my partner to tell him about my son's day and how he has been. They are responsive and attentive to his needs and the requests I make. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. The team are top-class and a real asset to the nursery. Thanks all.

My son loves going to the nursery. His speech is coming along lovely with the support of his key worker and he tries new food every day. The nursery encourages the children to eat a healthy nutritional meal and respects certain dietary requirements. Myself and my son always feel welcome by the nursery.

We are extremely pleased with Mama Bears day nursery. Our son started in the baby room at the age of 11 months on a 4-day basis. He settled very well from day one, and this was a huge relief being first-time parents. The staff are amazing; they are very caring and have established an excellent rapport with my son. When my son arrives at nursery and we are welcomed by a member of the staff, he would go with them without hesitation with a big smile on his face. On collection, he is always very happy and will take time to say bye to staff that have taken such good care of him. We are also very pleased with the way the nursery communicates with us. We have daily updates on food, nappies and naps via their app and they will always call us to update us on anything else. Staff will also let us know what our son has been up to when we collect him in the evening. Meals and menus are balanced and they always try and meet special dietary requirements. An outstanding nursery; we could not ask for more

Amazing staff who truly care for my child and encourage him to be the best he can be. My son is always eager to go to his key worker, but also equally comfortable with other workers who make him feel accepted. There is good communication from the staff and their commitment to supporting the needs of my child is great!

Our daughter wailed every morning as we took her in, she had previously been at a different preschool (in a different area) that she loved and never had any issues with. We tried to take her out after only a couple of weeks but they demanded four weeks' notice. Mama Bear's is a business first and a nursery second, profits are more important than the children (and their staff - we had covid related drama too). At the door, I heard numerous parents questioning injuries their kids had, and at almost every pick up my daughter had a dirty nappy. We pulled her out, irrespective of the lost money, and sent her to another Preschool where she was immediately happy and thriving. We have a younger child and know that Mama Bears is the only place with immediate availability in the bay and whilst we need the childcare we wouldn't even consider this place an option.

Great communication, friendly, approachable staff members, well updated regularly via both app and face-to-face handovers. Little one loves nursery days.

They are very patient and supportive of my little one and I couldn't be happy with their service. He absolutely loves going and I feel completely relaxed when leaving him in their care (trust is a wonderful thing).

I take my granddaughter and collect her from nursery, every week. The staff are always welcoming and my granddaughter absolutely loves going, she would go every day if she could. They have prepared her well for school. They are always quick to spot any issues however minor and happy to discuss her progress and general day to day activities. She has been doing I can't recommend highly enough. an excellent start to the school experience.

She is a true asset to the company.

The whole team at Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road) has helped my little girl come such a long way, they are always so friendly and I know my little girl is completely safe and happy. I will in no doubt use this nursery again. Amazing team!

My daughter started Mama Bears (Long Road) when she was just 9 months old and she loved it there from the beginning! The staff are always super friendly and welcoming. I looked at a few nurseries (as the baby rooms are normally nothing special) and Mama Bears was the best by far, with lots of things to do with a nice outdoor space. My daughter loves her days at Mama Bears and I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone!

My children have been using the nursery for the last four years. All staff are professional and my children are happy to go to nursery. They love the staff and playing with the other children, I highly recommend.

My child got bitten by another child at nursery. A member of staff opened the door for my child to go through and somehow it ended up smacking him on his forehead and left a very large bruise. The staff seem to be shady and lie. Very poorly run and never answer any questions if you ask how the accidents happened. Not happy and would really advise a parent not to let their kids go to this nursery, there’s far better out there! 1* out of 5*.

Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road) is an excellent childcare provider. My sons have made so much progress developmentally and socially since attending Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road). They have gone from being very shy and upset to leave my side to running in. All the staff are extremely kind, caring and patient with the children. The manager runs the nursery so well, she is brilliant and is always so happy and enthusiastic. I would unreservedly and one hundred percent recommend Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road).
