King's Nursery latest inspection was found to be 'outstanding' in all areas March 2024.

The curriculum is ambitious and designed to give children, particularly the vulnerable, the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life. Leaders regularly monitor and evaluate the curriculum to ensure that children’s experiences over time consistently build on their experiences at home and nursery. For example, staff now enhance visits to the library and offer families story sacks to take home. This extends opportunities for children to explore their favourite books and retell stories with props and puppets. This is helping to promote an early enjoyment of reading for children and their families.

Leaders aim for children to develop secure communication and language skills and staff create a language-rich environment. For example, they ensure that children can choose freely from a wide range of books and young children become fascinated as staff read enthusiastically to them. Staff engage children in high-quality conversation and provide opportunities for them to share their thoughts and ideas. Children go on to demonstrate their love of books as they select their own book and replicate the story telling situation with their friends. They recall the plot and practise using new language and vocabulary that they have learned.

We couldn't have wished for a better nursery for our daughter. The staff are absolutely wonderful, nurturing, kind and understanding. They have embraced her additional needs and been incredibly supportive. It is so reassuring to know that she is not only being looked after well but also that they are
proactive in providing stimulating activities and ensuring she is integrated with her peers. The management team are incredibly organised and accommodating too. The school has also been outstanding for our older daughter.

Excellent nursery. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter at King's School and Nursery. It is hard to find anything wrong with it yet the outside space looks a bit tired but that doesn't take away from the fun my daughter has out there. The rooms are always tidy, clean and warm. The staff are welcoming

Kings Nursery and School are great, cannot fault them. My daughter is at nursery currently, all of the staff are very attentive and professional. Communication regarding my child's day, food. Excellent variation of activities, educational whilst keeping it fun.

Our Son has been attending King's Reception class since September. He was very nervous at the beginning but after a few weeks and much kindness and thoughtfulness from all the staff, he is now smiling going into school. It is most important to us that he is happy whilst he learns and makes friends.
We are extremely happy with Kings School and Nursery.

Unlike other schools that feel clinical, Kings is everything I want for my child's first school. Couldn't be happier. Class size is perfect for children who want to learn. The staff are incredibly friendly.

Great Nursery. Our Daughter always comes home happy and we know she is in good hands throughout the day. The tapestry app is great too. Love seeing the wee photo updates. Would thoroughly recommend it!

The staff are fantastic. We always have a happy boy at the end of the day, keen to tell us about all the fun he's had with his friends. The facilities are great the and activities really creative and absorbing for the children. We've been very happy with King's Nursery.

The staff have been excellent with our children, they are kind, supportive and take time to get to know the children.
The nursery manager will always reply to any concerns promptly and professionally. The spaces within the nursery rooms (and outside) are excellent and there are so many extra activities
that the children can take part in!

Both my children have attended King's Nursey from babies through to pre-school.
I can't say enough about what a wonderful time they both had throughout their time there and how impressed I was with the staff.
My children always came home telling me what a great day they had and what fun things they
had done. They excelled in the environment with their speech and recognition of numbers and letters (and Spanish!).
I will highly recommend the nursery for providing the most amazing start for children.

My son has been going to King's Nursery since January 2023 and I have no complaints so far. The staff are absolutely lovely and I don’t have to worry about my son while he is in the nursery at all, as I know that the staff will take very good care of him. He is there the whole day all five days and
when I go to collect him I see a happily playing child. I do witness this from the other children’s faces as well. I feel very fortunate to have got a place for my son at King's. I hope they will get more space so that more children will benefit from their excellent service.

We are very pleased and happy with our choice of nursery at Kings School and Nursery. Our 2 year old daughter loves attending and we have never had any problems with her wanting to go. The nursery is very well-resourced with a broad range of learning opportunities provided both indoors and out. The
staff are super helpful, imaginative and informative. We have always had insightful feedback on our daughter's development and enjoy the regular updates and progress in photo form on the app.
Our daughter's development has definitely been enhanced and we are amazed by new progress on an almost daily basis. There is always a good ratio of staff to children and a good impression of it being a safe environment.
We have had no concerns of any kind and all staff and the management are very flexible, supportive and approachable. I’d have no hesitation in recommending King's School and Nursery to prospective parents.

King's School and Nursery is the perfect setting for little ones and it is so reassuring when my son makes no fuss when we part ways. It is great to feel he is in safe hands.
The staff are friendly, kind, caring and develop an excellent relationship with the children in their care. My son started
age 7 months and is loving life.
The online journal documents snapshots of his day and it is awesome to see the different activities he is getting up to, milestones being reached and how much he is enjoying the surroundings.
My son eats a wide range of food suitable for his stage in development, and this is shared in a journal which comes home every night so we are fully aware of how he has eaten.
Thank you to all of the staff involved.

Kings Nursery is a wonderful place for my daughter to attend. I am so pleased with the care and appropriate level of development she receives. I notice her progress week by week and I am certain that this is down to the way Kings fosters a culture of learning, from nursery, through school and then onwards.
The staff are so kind and supportive, very good at providing feedback and the overall communication from kings is fabulous.
Our second daughter is on the waiting list to attend when a place becomes available. I'd recommend Kings to anyone.

My child really enjoys going to nursery at King's and loves the varied activities each day. My child has made lots of friends and constantly talks about them and what they have got up to.
The staff are always friendly and provide daily updates both in the personalised book or at drop off and pickups.
The staff have also supported us recently in transitioning my child away from nappies which has been great.

There won't be many schools where you see children running in smiling and ready for a full day, then at the end of the day not wanting to leave. My son absolutely loves King's and is thriving in the environment. He is always so proud to come home and tell me what he has learnt in the day and happy to
practise it at home. My son has made some lovely friends and lucky to spend time with them at the weekends too. The school is very attentive to a child's needs and also involves the parents in lots of the steps and helps us understand the tools used to teach them as well. I honestly couldn't think of a better school to send him to and I'm grateful we got the spot for him. Thank you King's.

The staff are very attentive and friendly. That goes beyond nursery staff too and includes staff we see around on the grounds, always willing to greet us etc.
On the whole our nursery experience has been positive for us.
A couple of small things could help improve it more:
1) Please could nursery
staff be reminded to pull out the nappy frills when changing nappies- it’ll stop leaks when we get home.
2) Could the food offered be a bit healthier? Cakes and chocolate aren’t something we’ve introduced to our child at home, we were surprised this is offered so often at nursery, especially when they are babies still. Not so much of a problem now but when younger I was surprised to see this offered when we had a no or low sugar rule at home and still do not give our child chocolate. This is something my mum friends have mentioned to me about the nursery menu.
Otherwise, we are very happy with the nursery. Especially the day routine and play and creativity encouraged.

My daughter has been at King's Nursery since she was 9 months old and I have been so happy with all the care and effort they all put into her development.
Every member of staff is a credit to the younger years as they always go that extra mile to support.
I like that it has a structured day along
with making it fun and the excellent communication, she always came home smiling and made my life easy knowing she is in a safe happy environment due to all the staff.

My little girl started King's at 9 months and has been there for nearly a year. They really do care, the first month was difficult as I was learning a new routine but she absolutely loves her nursery. We get photos and videos during my day which really does put a smile on my face at work. We have a
daily diary so I get all the information on sleep, activities etc. I love the little gifts and artwork she brings home.
I know King's is the right nursery as my little girl loves being there plus she always sleeps really well on nursery days.
