Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Plympton, Plymouth is a purpose-built nursery offering high-quality care for children aged 6 months to 5 years. With a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating (March 2022), the setting provides a welcoming, homely environment led by a long-standing, experienced team.

The nursery follows the EYFS framework, alongside its own Foundations for the Future and Pathway to the Future programmes, supporting holistic development through hands-on learning. Children enjoy well-resourced playrooms, a calming sensory room, and a large outdoor space, with plans underway to introduce a new allotment and mud kitchen.

Fresh meals are prepared by the on-site chef. The team work in close partnership with families through regular parent evenings, home learning resources and the Famly App, creating strong connections and consistent care.

I've love Kiddi Caru since I first visited it for my first child and they have been brilliant from day one. Both my sons have been cared for really well by the warm and friendly staff and it's been a real pleasure watching both my children develop and blossom in the vibrant nursery environment the team
at Kiddi Caru Plympton have created there.
It's great that so many key staff have worked there throughout and now my first child is ready for school. I hear teachers can always tell a Kiddi Caru child.

Fantastic nursery with a lovely team of nursery practitioners. My eldest came here and there was never any doubt that when my little boy was born (one year after he left) he would come to Kiddie Caru. Great activities, clean environment and the menu is awesome.

I am quite happy with the nursery itself, my son loves it here. There have been a few instances that I have not been happy with but they seem to have been rectified after bringing the situation up with management.


I will be changing nurseries in due course though as there are a number of nurseries

in the surrounding area that don't charge for bank holidays or time where the child is absent due to a family holiday. I feel that this is an unnecessary charge if enough notice is given for staffing to be reduced and no meals are being made. I appreciate a 'space has to be kept' but this isn't the case elsewhere as I have already mentioned.


Also, the 8 am opening time is going to become a struggle for me.


Apart from that as I say I'm happy with the nursery itself but it could do with a few tweaks here and there and in my opinion, it could be better.

My son loves coming to nursery and he has grown in confidence. One of the things I particularly like is that they take the comments from home about activities/skills/interests and then incorporate these into his day. We always get feedback on what he's been doing, eating sleeping etc. All the staff
are really friendly too.

I have a 2-year-old daughter who attends 5 days a week. She has a fantastic bond with the girls who look after her. Everyone knows her by name, even if she has been in their care group. Some of the staff even remember my older daughter who attended about 8 years before.


The security is very strict,

and the whole set up is very secure.


The food is very good with a nice selection across each meal time.


Overall I wouldn’t have any issue in recommending the nursery to anyone. My little girl loves going and has developed so much. Both my wife and I have good peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after.

I was told by family that you know when you have found the right nursery for you on your first visit. This is so true. From our very first visit up to pre-school graduation, we have never doubted that we chose the best nursery for our little boy. Everyone we have had dealings with, from the nursery
ladies, cook, up to deputy manager and manager, we have always been greeted with genuine smiles and positive energy to draw even the most reluctant of children into the Kiddi Caru family. It might have been amongst the more expensive nurseries we visited, but in our opinion has been worth every penny as we feel our 4-year-old will graduate this summer having had the best possible care and early years start in preparation for primary school this summer.
