Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Plympton, Plymouth is a purpose-built nursery offering high-quality care for children aged 6 months to 5 years. With a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating (March 2022), the setting provides a welcoming, homely environment led by a long-standing, experienced team.

The nursery follows the EYFS framework, alongside its own Foundations for the Future and Pathway to the Future programmes, supporting holistic development through hands-on learning. Kiddi Caru in Plympton has provided an amazing experience for my son since he was a baby. He's now in his final month before we relocate and I have to say that any new nursery will have a lot to live up to! The fact that on non-nursery days my son says "I want to go to nursery" shows what an enjoyable
time he has there. Having recently moved up to the pre-school room, I can tell his experience so far is definitely helping him to become 'school-ready'. This is in terms of both what he is learning and also the enthusiasm he has for it e.g. he was so proud of his certificate for his French! Also, the carers have built great relationships with my son and I am assured that he is in a caring, nurturing environment; this is especially true for the careful management of his dairy allergy.
I would highly recommend this nursery to any parents looking to give their child a truly enriching and enjoyable experience, surrounded by professional and caring staff. Thank you all!

My son started at Kiddi Caru a couple of weeks ago. This is my second child going to nursery but because of the current situation, I was more anxious about it this time around! As most babies have experienced over this year my baby hasn't spent much time around any of our friends and family and is used
to being with us 24/7 so I was really concerned about how he would settle in and how he would be around other children his age.
All of the staff have been absolutely brilliant with both him and us as parents. We are kept up to date with what he has been up to each day and it is so lovely to see him interacting with babies his own age, he comes home each evening that he has been at nursery ready for a good sleep! In the past couple of weeks he has really developed as well which I know has been helped by the stimulation at nursery. I feel confident that my child is safe and very well looked after, he has definitely taken a shine to the girls that look after him! Can't recommend enough.

Like most parents, I was worried about allowing my son to go to nursery but from day one, all my worries were laid to rest. The staff have been amazing and my lad has come on leaps and bounds, talking better and eating with a knife and fork. The staff are always happy to help or give advice when asked.

Amazing. As a military father, I work away a lot but I know my son is in the best hands as he is always learning and his progression is amazing. Staff there are always contactable and always willing to listen I wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else and intend on sending my daughter there shortly.

When I had to put my child into nursery, I viewed many before Kiddi Caru. Every place I visited I came out feeling deflated and could not see my child learning and being at the facilities. When visiting Kiddi Caru I was 'blown away'. The staff are on another level! Absolutely fantastic with the children.
The facility is tidy, clean, well organised and the staff are always so presentable which is another big factor. My child absolutely loves every single staff member and loves being a part of this nursery. 5* rating from me!

My son has been going here since he was 5-months-old and he has loved it from day one. I am a single mum and always worry when it comes to child care but, I always feel comfortable when dropping him off as he’s always got a smile on his face when we turn up. After lockdown and spending 13-weeks just
the two of us, I was worried how he would react going in but, the staff were so welcoming, and my little boy walked straight in and didn’t even look back at me! I only viewed this nursery for him, as I knew it was the one for us as soon as I realised how happy the children were! I have and will continue to recommend this nursery to anyone!

My granddaughter has only been attending a few weeks but the whole process from the viewing, doing the paperwork, meeting my granddaughter's keyworker to the manager meeting us on our first day has been fantastic. My granddaughter had tremendous social anxiety and was reluctant to go to anyone other
than myself but the difference in her since starting and now is tremendous and can't thank all the ladies enough as to how they've welcomed my granddaughter and myself to the nursery. 10/10

I would recommend this nursery to everyone! It has a lively vibe, friendly and professional staff and a very high standard of cleanliness and child safeguarding.


I was very anxious about sensing my child to nursery and within an hour, I felt calm and knew that my child would enjoy their time there

A really nice setting, big size rooms, lovely staff and very informative, very clean and a nice outdoor space. Outstanding Ofstead report. Staff are friendly. There is also a kitchen on site. So the children have meals prepared for them daily.

My son has attended Kiddi Caru since January 2019 and absolutely loves it. He is now in the toddler room and thoroughly enjoys all the various activities on offer.
I feel his development has come on in leaps and bounds here and he is definitely benefiting from the structure of a nursery environment;
which will help him progress to school.
The staff are highly competent in all they do; approachable and friendly and they all have a fantastic rapport with the children in their care. There is a great mix of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the day and the meals included are healthy with a
well-balanced menu. My son is a great fan of the food here!
I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for child care in the Plympton/surrounding area.

The girls in the rooms are wonderful and so is the deputy manager. Really make me feel at ease. My son enjoys his days there and eats well and is happy... that's all I could ask for. Thank you.
It would be nice if I were able to receive more pictures of him. They seem to be taken because there is
one on this website! It would be nice to be given them. The girls in the baby room and 1-2 room were very good at doing this but I haven't received any since.

As a first time mum, I was hesitant when considering nurseries for my little boy.
I was recommended Kiddi Caru by a friend and I would now highly recommend to other parents! The staff are lovely and very reassuring and I feel at ease knowing my child is being well looked after.
