Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Plymouth-Fortview)

The staff at Mama Bear's Fortview are caring and welcoming and this is been clear from the day our child started. During the time he has attended the nursery we have seen him develop in so many areas due to the hard work and loving care of the staff. The updated outdoor space is especially appreciated and I know our little boy will love spending time exploring!

With this being a small nursery I feel that all the staff know my child really well, their personality, likes and dislikes. The staff are very supportive with potty training and encouragement. Regular activities are set to develop learning and each term you get an in-depth assessment to show how your child is getting on. On a daily basis, you get updates and observations via the app often with photos of what your child is up to. My child loves going to nursery, it’s somewhere they feel comfortable, and this is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff to make it such a happy and fun place to be. 10/10 from me.

I absolutely love this nursery. I was so apprehensive as a mum to send my two year old. However on a taster day he went in and played with everything, everyone was so nice and my son loves to go every week. He's never hesitant and in fact shouts in excitement and runs into nursery. I'm now going to send my nine month old. They're so friendly, they always update the app with photos and updates. My son's speech has began improving so much since attending. It's definitely a homely feel at Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Plymouth-Fortview) and I thoroughly recommend to any parent. The manager is always so nice to me with all my emails I send and never fails to respond to my calls or emails.

I needed to put 2 of my children into nursery 4 days a week. I was anxious about them attending so many days but from the first day of attending both of my children have loved Mama Bear's. They are always excited to go and always smiling when they leave. Mama Bear's staff are so lovely and kind. It's a small and cosy nursery with a massive garden area for the children to play in. I get regular updates from the nursery showing me what they are doing during the day and what they have eaten. I cannot recommend Mama Bear's enough.

My experience with this nursery has been nothing short of outstanding! My son absolutely enjoys his time here. The girls are absolutely amazing and they go above and beyond their call of duty to be honest. They are always coming up with ways to help kids develop in every aspect of life. They also keep the kids stimulated with different activities! Parentzone App gives an insight into my son’s day and this is invaluable to me as a parent. I told the staff that my son is very sensitive to cold weather and I always smile when I see him all wrapped up warm ready for the garden! This nursery promotes diversity and recognizes other people’s special occasions. I am glad to have found Mama Bears. Couldn’t ask for a better nursery!

I couldn't recommend Mama Bear's Fortview enough. I was so nervous sending my son to nursery after he had a rocky start with lots of tears, the staff are so kind, reassuring, encouraging and positive about everything getting better for him and I'm so glad I persevered. I love that you can see how little man progressing, makes my day with all the photos of what he gets up to during the day. A special thank you to Hannah who always went above and beyond to make my son happy, and enjoys his experience, for all the cuddles and reassurance he needed to know someone was there, while still managing to attend to all the other children. Such a credit to the nursery! He now loves going to nursery, learning all new things, and being with his friends. What an accomplishment. Mama Bear's you should be so proud and to all the staff members who encouraged him through the door in the mornings. Thank you, a million times over.

Amazing nursery, my grandchildren love going here. Staff are excellent with the children. Lovely garden to play in, my grandchildren always come out very happy and have made some lovely friends there.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery every week and has settled in so fast. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s so reassuring to have updates of how my daughter is throughout the day via the parent app too! The nursery has great activities for the children to do, as well as a really lovely garden! I have no concerns and am so happy my daughter goes here.

The staff are amazing with my son as he gets very anxious leaving me. I get put at ease straight away knowing he’s having a great day and can see that through parent zone. Every time he comes back he’s always talking about all the activities he has been doing and what fun he’s had. This is the best nursery I’ve put my children in I have to say. I love the garden area as there is so much room for my son to run around and play in! I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

Staff communication is always on point, and I would just like to say how happy and grateful that I am to all of the staff who have been extremely accommodating and supportive to our family. I always recommend Mama Bear's to any friends or family who ask for positive nursery experiences and will continue to do so. I hope the team know how much they are appreciated by us. My son has been attending since March, he settled in very quickly. I find all staff members very easy to talk to and approachable. I am kept up to date with his progress via observations posted on his log account and can see they provide a wide range of activities for him to explore and take part in. I would highly recommend this setting and wouldn’t send him anywhere else. I feel this setting is a home from home, and all staff are very caring and attentive. He is happy to go over to whoever answers the door, and they always have a big smile and a warm greeting. I feel each staff member knows my son very well.

As a very anxious mum putting my daughter in each week is a massive challenge for me. The staff at the setting are absolutely wonderful. My daughter gravitates towards one girl in particular, and the staff always ensure she is the one to take her in each day and meet her at the door with her friendly familiar face. They keep me up to date with what she’s eaten, her mood and sleep pattern. I feel confident leaving her, knowing she’s being well looked after. Thank you to all the staff at Mama Bears.

Fortview Nursery brought out the best in my child. Nursery staff made you feel welcome and like your child was cared for really well. Not only was my child happy here, I was made to feel happy and content which reflected on my child. They made a shy child come out of her shell and ready for school and because of the friendly and dedicated staff at Fortview, my child is thriving in school. Really great staff equals a happy Mum and definitely a happy and content child. Thank you Fortview staff, you are all amazing and great at your jobs.

I never trusted anyone more to look after my children. All the staff are friendly, all the time. I can really see the difference in my children and their skills and knowledge. You can see learning happens here and you can see it's like a big family. My eldest has been to two or three different nurseries and none compare at all to Mama Bears. Thank you to all the staff for all the really good work and for taking such pride.

Really like the Eylog system so we can see how well the children are doing and what area's we can work on at home as parents.

The staff are very caring and nurturing and form good bonds with the children. I am always impressed with the variety of activities set out each day for the children when they come in making each day fun, new and exciting for them.

I am very happy with every aspect of my son's care and learning, and highly recommend Mama Bears to anyone. If you are looking for a warm, homely environment, with excellent outcomes for your child...then this nursery/preschool is for you.

My wife and I are very pleased and grateful for the extremely evident hard work each room has put into the caring, learning and development of our boy.

A special mention to employees our son does not stop saying their names whilst at home, he absolutely adores your staff and loves being at the nursery.
