Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Plymouth-Fortview)

My son really enjoys his time at Mama Bear's. There are always plenty of varied activities for him and I believe he is being well prepared for school later this year. He has made some good friends and likes all the staff. Keep up the good work Mama Bear's!

Really lovely nursery, son really enjoys going and has come on leaps and bounds since attending the nursery.

It is such a small building but they use the space well and they have a very large outdoor space to run around in. The team at Fort View really are amazing and I cannot rate their care of my son highly enough!!

I am in my fifth year of using Fort View and second child. I have zero complaints. The staff are amazing and always go the extra mile to help you out as a family. Both my boys have loved going to nursery and I have no concerns about the care, even with my youngest having an egg allergy. Thoroughly recommend.

Cannot fault the setting or staff in a single way. All have become our extended family over the past year. My son has developed rapidly within the nursery and now the preschool rooms at Mama Bears. Staff have become firm friends and do not get the recognition they are so deserving of. Although an older and smaller setting Fortview offers a home away from home feel and has the most incredible outside garden space.

My son currently attends the Mama Bears Fortview Nursery and my daughter is going to start in September. My son loves it, he always leaves with a smile on his face and looks forward to seeing everyone there. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and competent. I know my son is in safe hands and always has an action-packed, varied day ahead of him when he arrives. I really like the small scale setting as it means the children aren't just a number and the garden is lovely too, with lots of play equipment.

A really friendly nursery with very supportive staff. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since being there. We find the nursery to be very flexible in supporting our needs and we would recommend it to others.

We're very pleased with this nursery. Our son loves attending and often talks about staff and friends from the nursery when he's not there. He generally doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. We particularly like the garden and the fact the nursery is small and friendly and all the staff know the children well. I like that they now serve meals throughout the day. Our son loves the food there. He really seems to have developed while he's been there and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I am confident in the nursery security as the main door can only be opened by staff inside. The only downside is that the outside equipment looks totally worn out and very small. Compared to my older son's nursery there seems to be no outside projects or investment in the garden space. I've always found the nursery to be very clean. Protocols have always been followed and I would recommend this nursery to friends.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. My daughter is always happy to attend and gets upset on her days off because she misses her teachers and friends. The staff will go out of their way to ensure children and parents are happy at all times. The inside play areas are well structured and the garden is a hidden gem that the children love using daily.

The introduction of food was one we weren't sure on at first but once it started it was clearly a great decision and he enjoys the food provided. Hopefully, Fort View will continue to be a smaller more personal nursery and continue to look after and nurture children in the fantastic way they have with our son.

Both my children have attended this nursery from 8 months old and both have enjoyed it. The staff are just incredible and my children are cared for and looked after. My youngest is starting school in September and I'm sad that I won't be using this nursery again.

My son loves this nursery. Extremely friendly staff. He's moved on leaps and bounds in development in terms of drawing/writing/speech/physical development and has become a lot more independant. He loves daily outside playtime and playing with his friends. I am happy knowing that he has nutritious lunch and dinners!

Lovely staff. My daughter had socialising issues when she first started this nursery and the staff have turned her into a social butterfly! They encourage her in anything she is trying to achieve i.e. her walking and talking and always take the time to give her cuddles if she needs them. I wish I knew a place like this one 15 years ago when my boys were in nursery. I highly recommend it.

Mama Bears, Crownhill Fort is an amazing nursery. I moved my son here last year and was very worried about the move and how he would settle in. I can now say it was the best decision. He has come on so much since being there, he loves the staff, the children and the setting. Always happy to go there, they do so much with the children and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The staff are fantastic and all so friendly.

Fantastic team at Fort View. Everyone there has made a great effort to make my son feel at home. He is only 9 months and I always feel guilty dropping him off, but in truth, he loves it there and it certainly puts my mind at ease!

My daughter loves going to nursery and will often talk about how much she likes her key person. My daughter's confidence has grown since joining Mama Bear's. The staff are very friendly and efficient and always willing to help. When it is time for my daughter to be collected at the end of her day, I am always informed in detail of what type of day she has had and if there is anything I need they are always willing to help.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone who was considering nursery care for their child.

Mama Bears (Fort View Plymouth) is an exceptional nursery.

From her first day there, my daughter has been very settled and happy.

The staff are warm and friendly and I, as a parent, have felt very welcome at all times.

Their attention to her needs is second to none and without a doubt, they have helped in her development with their well thought out games and play.

I would recommend the manager and her team to everyone looking to place a child in a nursery environment.

Our daughter settled into Fortview really quickly and we believe this is a reflection on how good the nursery is. The staff take a genuine interest in the children and seem to enjoy their roles - which, from a parent's point of view, this is so important.
