Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Plymouth-Fortview)

The staff are amazing. My child started at 6 months old and the team were just wonderful. They all made me feel safe to leave him and send me regular updates. I get videos and photos along with artwork from the day. The nursery is clean, bright and safe with loads of toys and activities throughout the days planned. Everyone gets involved and handovers are always thorough. We couldn't be happier with the care and support our child receives daily.

My son attends the setting four days a week and is always soo excited arrive, He loves the nursery and all the staff. They really know him and his interests and do lots of activities around this. The nursery is warm and welcoming and the garden space is large. The manager is super helpfull with any questions about sessions and any changes I may need to make.

My kids love Mama Bear's! They have lots of fun learning outside in the garden, playing, planting and exploring. They also love the lots of different activities indoors. I love the communication from staff, the variety of foods I never thought of giving them, and the care staff give my kids when I am not there. I could not recommend Mama Bear's enough to friends.

All the ladies at Mama Bears are friendly and welcoming. I feel there is great communication so parent know how their child is getting on. The nursery is very supportive and gives my child reassurance and encouragement for their achievements however big or small.

Fort View Mama Bears is a lovely, caring and calm environment. The smaller size means that the adults get to know the children brilliantly and treat them with care and respect. The inside space is small but well utilised and the garden is giant and well resourced. All round great nursery and would recommend to others.

When confronted with the above the manager is defensive and made snidey comments which is a shame because all of the girls that work there are lovely! Especially four specific members of staff. We miss you! But not the grotty nursery.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Most amazing staff. My son loves them so much and never wants to leave them. Every day I get an update on what he was doing, eating and lots of photos as well. Highly recommend this place!

Our daughter has attended Mama Bear's since a small baby, she is always talking about her friends and adventures at nursery. The caregivers really give 110% and with it being a smaller setting, it is a real home from home for our little girl. Cannot recommend enough and do so whenever anyone asks for a nursery recommendation.

Can’t fault the nursery, it’s good and staff are brilliant. The only thing I will say is when they are allowed out in the garden after it’s been very wet my child comes home soaked and filthy with wet socks on that she’s had all most of the day, been times when I’ve asked if she could not go out in this weather and been told that she has to.

Lovely nursery and the staff are so friendly. My little girl loves going every week. I would not want to send her anywhere else. She has made lots of new friends and enjoys going outside to play. I get regular updates through the app during the day.

The nursery staff are fabulous. Kind, caring and bend over backwards to cater for both my children. Very easy to talk to and take the time to let you know all the fun things the children get up to and how they have been during the day. My children always leave happy and enjoy telling me about their day.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My son has been attending since the age of 1 and is now 3 and a half years old and I can honestly say he has loved every minute of it. He loves the staff members, who are so caring and kind (they really do feel like family members to us). They are always doing wonderful activities with the children, my son has loved the recent activities of growing things. It was lovely to see the updates of the children gathering around the plant pots singing "you are my sunshine". We have been woken up in the mornings to him singing it from his bedroom....so adorable. I feel grateful to each and every one of the staff for everything they have done, they work so so hard and they are always so full of energy and greet us with such a warm smile every time. Thank you all again x

The staff know the children really well and are always friendly and professional. There is good communication between the nursery and home, so we always know what they’ve been up to. Our children really enjoy their time in the nursery!

Absolutely fantastic! Couldn’t ask for a better bunch to take care of my son. Communication is brilliant. My son is always happy to see the workers. Thanks to all the worker’s help he is now a thriving, confident lad.

Fantastic nursery. The team are welcoming, supportive and friendly. My son loves his days at nursery, particularly with the staff in the toddler room. Great range of activities. Amazing outdoor space. Staff have taken time to get to know him and adapt their approach to him eg waving from the window when he’s upset when I leave. Nothing seems too much trouble.

I am an impressed Mum and would definitely recommend a viewing when considering nursery’s! No hesitation!

My 1 and 2-year-old girls attend Mama Bears and we think they’re all wonderful. The girls have always had a lovely day and are so happy when I collect them. The ladies there are all lovely and I know they will take the best care of my girls. The activities are good and they spend a lot of time outdoors when the weather allows, and they’re always doing arts and crafts and reading. The ladies will always do their best to accommodate anything we ask. Wouldn’t want to send my girls anywhere else! Thank you, ladies.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. I love the way all staff will talk to you when in the setting and help with anything that you may need. My daughter always comes home and says she’s had a good day and done loads of fun activities both inside and outside. I love the respect and communication they give towards both the child and parents.

I can't thank all the staff enough for all the work they do and for supporting my son. Also, the manager who had been a massive support and real understanding of what families need has really shown as I am a military wife and sometimes need some flexibility which she always tries to accommodate if she can.

I have been nothing but thrilled with this nursery and all the wonderful staff! My child adores everyone there, as do I. They go above and beyond and help my child to learn new skills and have a wonderful experience in general. Cannot recommend them enough.
