Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School - Penrice (St Austell)

The nursery has been brilliant so far with my son.. They have been so nice and caring and have adjusted to his needs brilliantly- especially when he has some problems with another child. A massive relief for myself and my partner, and they always help with and problems.

My son has come on leaps and bounds with his social skills since being here, he is always happy when I collect him and I always get a full (not rushed) de brief of his day and how he was.

The cleanliness of toilet areas could still be vastly improved, but the new direction the nursery is going in does give us confidence things are back on track after a tough year for the staff.

Overall the nursery has helped in bringing our daughter out her shell. She speaks well eats well and is very independent. The staff are friendly. They do, however, use the same resources repeatedly. Play doh everyday is boring! The cleanliness is very poor, filthy bathrooms, dirty floors, old and dirty-looking sleep arrangements for nap time. This is what lets the place down.

Happy Days has been amazing with Quinn for her entire journey through nursery. They have helped amazingly with the transition into preschool.

Very good nursery. Nursery coped well through it being done up. No change to children's day. Kind caring staff.

My daughter enjoys her time in nursery. There is a good variety of activities, indoor and outdoor play. Care is taken with sunscreen, informing me as a parent, and cuddles when needed. The team are friendly and welcoming. I'd like to get an update on my daughters progress, but have no concerns and feel I'm able to ask staff as needed. High turnover in staff hasn't impacted my daughter but I have noticed change in communication/tone. I hope this settles over next few months.

Happy days Penrice is full of friendly staff, they are kind and supporting to me and my child. She struggles with settling but with the support from her key person Perook she settled fast and enjoys going to nursery to see her friends.

Harry loved his time here at HD. He was always so excited to be here. The staff went above and beyond. Harry's development has come on load since.

Since starting with Happy Days my little one has come on leaps and bounds. He's grown socially and in confidence as well as his speech progression. He initially struggled with transitions but has since built strong relationships with the staff in his room. Always great communication and warm friendly faces.

My son has been attending for 3 years now and has made some good friends. H is usually happy to attend and we are all sad that the time at nursery is coming to all end. He has changed and grown so much ready for his next adventure.

My son has been at this nursery for almost 3 years and he is having a great experience. They have helped a lot with his learning and through specific milestones like potty training. The welcome is positive every morning and staff are approachable and caring if you have any concerns. There has been significant staff changes in recent months however they have tried hard for this to have minimal impact on the children and their day to day experience.

After a good start to settling in.. my little one gt poorly and had to have some time off.. after this time off my little one, didnt settle well at all. But with the hard work of the wonderful workers my son is finally settling and starting to enjoy his time at nursery they have shown me good communication. I enjoy the photos i receieved of him on the app. They have really helped not only my little one but also myself when i questioning if i had made the right decision. As hes finally settling in i am hoping to see more photos of him playing and activities during time at nursery.

Nursery play space is quite generous and this is great for growing kids. The staff are good and engaged with the child's development, and the quality of children's meals prepared is really excellent.

Overall I was extremely impressed by how I was made to feel welcome, the skills the nursery staff had in trying to distract and engage him and the reassuring approach of the manager

I didn't feel there was much toilet training support.

Nice friendly staff, and our daughter has settled in well. We have noticed she has become more confident, and her ability to play with puzzles and stack toys has improved.

We are very happy we chose Happy Days over the many other nurseries and have recommended it to all our friends. Continue the fantastic work!

We transferred our son to Happy Days a few months ago. Initially, we were slightly worried about how he would cope, but straight away he settled and absolutely loved it. He seems so happy and actively looks forward to coming in every day.

I would not recommend this nursery.
