Nursery play space is quite generous and this is great for growing kids. The staff are good and engaged with the child's development, and the quality of children's meals prepared is really excellent.

My grandson was attending a settling in session, he was upset and clinging to me when we arrived. His key worker was very good at trying to engage him and distract him with activities. I noticed that all the children were well engaged with activities and supported by staff. All staff in the room
made me and my grandson feel welcome.
I was reluctant to leave him and the nursery manager stood with me outside the room and was very reassuring. I felt able to leave for a short while and the nursery manager suggested I call after 10 minutes which I did and again she was very reassuring over the phone but also honest that he was still a little unsettled and I could pick him up if I wanted to. I went back to the nursery and the nursery manager greeted me and went to check in him and this time he was settled.
Overall I was extremely impressed by how I was made to feel welcome, the skills the nursery staff had in trying to distract and engage him and the reassuring approach of the manager

Lovely nursery, lots of play inside and out.
Good feedback online and in person on pick up.
Would be nice if the welcome in the morning was a little more energetic for the child.
I didn't feel there was much toilet training support.

Nice friendly staff, and our daughter has settled in well. We have noticed she has become more confident, and her ability to play with puzzles and stack toys has improved.

From the first day, Happy Days has been a safe, happy and educational space for our child to develop with professional, enthusastic and knowledgeable staff.
We are very happy we chose Happy Days over the many other nurseries and have recommended it to all our friends. Continue the fantastic work!

We transferred our son to Happy Days a few months ago. Initially, we were slightly worried about how he would cope, but straight away he settled and absolutely loved it. He seems so happy and actively looks forward to coming in every day.

Our experience with Happy Days Nursery in St Austell has been mixed, with some significant concerns.
Communication has been a consistent issue. We receive very limited updates about our children, which makes it difficult to feel informed or reassured about their day-to-day care.
We also have
concerns around basic care for our baby, who at times came home dirty and on a few occasions appears not to have been changed promptly. This is disappointing and not what we would expect from a childcare setting.
Over the summer, the nursery handled a sensitive situation in a way that caused considerable distress for our family and my son. A more thoughtful, clear, and supportive approach from management would have helped greatly during that time.
I would not recommend this nursery.

Cannot fault happy days Penrice. They have been very supportive throughout our time there.
My little boy started at 9 months old,we were always updated on his day. When in toddlers,the staff were amazing with him, they helped identify my son needed additional support, they helped give me things to
try at home. He is now in the preschool room, his key person,who is deputy senco, is amazing with him. He often talks about her at home and when having a bad day, she knows exactly how to distract him and help regulate. She celebrates each milestone with us, which shows the true dedication she has for him and the other children.
The SENCO herself is amazing, keeps us updated with all referrals, speaks to us as parents to check we are happy, regularly checks in to see if we have any updates and is very very supportive.
The chef is an amazing, ensuring he never misses out,especially being DF,she adapts all meals to him. Couldn't recommend the nursery any more!

We are completely satisfied with our choice of Happy Days Penrice for our child to attend. We have been at the nursery for 2 years now and have experienced all 3 rooms for our child and all of the staff across the nursery provide outstanding care for our child. They are in a great environment for
learning while also being nurtured through basics like meal times and potty training. I have recommended this nursery to multiple friends as I am consistently impressed with their genuine care, curriculum and smiles each day.

Our son has just graduated nursery after 4 years there and we cannot recommend them highly enough. That staff have become like extra family to him and have helped his development no end! The staff have always gone the extra mile and he has always felt safe and secure there. He is very well prepared
for his next steps at school thanks to their hard work and he even received extra support with his speech. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and if we have any more children in the future, they will definitely be attending here.

We have both of our children in happy days penrice since 2022. We have nothing but the highest praise for all of the staff there. We are always greeted with a smile and staff know the names of all children even if they're not directly looking after them which is a lovely touch.
The nursery has
solid management and are always so welcoming and friendly. We could not recommend them any higher. Thank you to everyone at happy days penrice.

I could not recommend Penrice happy days enough! The staff are so friendly and welcoming with a smile every single day. The way they also address my child and every other child by name is so welcoming and inclusive. My daughter (2) had a hard time settling as she had never been apart from me and
this is her first setting but with the trust and comfort the staff provided for me and her, she's now settled and has an amazing amount of confidence and has built a amazingly strong relationships and bonds with every staff member as well as making friends with other children!. She enjoys her day as I do too knowing she is having fun and learning along the way! The food is brilliant as is their attention to personal care and applying suncream in this heat!! They really do have the children in their hearts and you can tell by the quality of care they provide

Our child really loves going to Happy Days Penrice, from the start they have made us all feel so welcome and happy leaving her in the hands of the lovely, smiling staff members who do an amazing job keeping her safe, looked after, educated and entertained! It's a lovely warm space, with a lovely
outdoor area so she can never get bored. She really enjoys the food that is provided, lunch in particular always goes down very well! Really can't recommend it enough, I was a little apprehensive about her starting nursery but they've made it so easy for us from the start and we have no worries at all, knowing how happy she is to go into nursery and how much she loves her key workers makes us really happy too!

My 3 year old son has been at this nursery now for a year and has loved his time in the toddlers and preschool rooms. The staff are all so lovely and friendly, and he can't wait to tell them about his weekend/etc. He loves to sit and have cuddles with them.
He has come on leaps and bounds with his
talking, counting, and imaginative play. They encourage him to use the toilet and potty, and he eats a far wider variety of foods than I could ever offer (and it always smells delicious!!).
My 1 year old daughter also attends the setting in the babies room, she goes to the lovely staff with a smile on her face. She demolishes every meal, and I can tell she has been well cared for and had a lovely day! The staff are always able to recount everything that she has done/eaten, which proves that their full attention is on the children.
The management team work hard, stationed right by the front-door and greet all the kids with a smile and chat. Emails and calls are always replied to promptly

Our son has been attending Happy Days Penrice since he was 9 months old and we've always been impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the staff, which is a great relief as a parent. Our son is relaxed, confident and keen to learn while there and comes home well fed and full of stories
about his day. I must also mention the amazing lady who cooks at the nursery as the meals are varied, wholesome and have helped our son's confidence grow around food - he will eat nearly anything he's given and is always keen to try new things. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery and we'll be enrolling our baby daughter later this year too, to follow in her big brothers' footsteps. Well done all.

We are incredibly grateful to all the staff at Happy Days Penrice for the exceptional care and attention they provide to our little boy. The team consistently keeps us informed about his progress and addresses any concerns with professionalism and kindness. Our son has a language delay due to being
bilingual, and enrolling him in the Language Enrichment Program has been a transformative experience. Thanks to the staff's dedication and expertise, he has made remarkable progress, and we are confident he will be well-prepared for reception next year. It brings us so much joy to see how excited and happy he is to attend nursery every day - he looks forward to it even after a weekend at home! We couldn't be more pleased with the nurturing and supportive environment at Happy Days Penrice.

Penrice Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School. Today was my son's last day at nursery, due to withdrawing him from Penrice Nursery after he was a victim of verbal abuse from a colleague. After following every avenue to ask for this colleague to be removed from the room it was declined. Please be aware
families, this incident that happened was far from the nurturing environment the company proclaim as their ethos. If I hadn't happened to walk past the window at this particular time I would have been none the wiser. Please be aware when considering this nursery as would hate for any child/parent to experience the ordeal we had to endure. Along with the complaints procedure where I was told no witness statement was needed to conclude their investigation/disciplinary, no integrity and lack of process, which tolerates such behaviours. Please take this as a warning, I honestly hope this will not happen again to any child within their setting.

Happy Days Nursery clearly shows a lack of empathy to parents who have clear grounds for concern. Yes policy and procedures have been followed, however putting a colleague who has committed acts of gross misconduct back into a setting with the same child that the offence was committed against is
grounds for neglect which clearly happy days can not see. Even their Head of Quality has a lack of professionalism and unable to apologise and respond to our complaint. An absolute abomination of a company, avoid at all costs!
Today was our son's last day at nursery, due to withdrawing him from Penrice Nursery after he was a victim of verbal abuse from a colleague in this nursery. My experience so far with this nursery has been nothing but excellent, from when I drop them off to when I pick them up, I am always updated on different things such as nappy changes to food they have through the app. My child always comes home with the happiest smile, and they have improved
drastically in themselves. The services the nursery provide are also superb, I wouldn’t want to change the nursery as well.
