Ambourne House Day Nursery

Fantastic nursery with a family feel. We are so happy to send our child here, and drive over from the next town as it's worth it. We know that our child has really fulfilling and interesting days, well above just being supervised while we're at work. The staff come across as very caring and dedicated to their work.

Ambourne house are an excellent nursery, both my children have attended since 2021 until now and the care has been amazing. Firstly they have both been very happy at nursery and any minor concerns or enquiries I've ever had have been addressed quickly. Sarah and Roberta in the management team have been there throughout the whole time and are absolutely fantastic. The work they do to get children ready for school was commented on by 2 of my son's teachers who were impressed at the amazing foundation Ambourne house gave him. Thank you all so much.

Ambourne House is a first-rate nursery. My wife and I were deeply impressed from our first visit when deciding where to place our baby son. The nursery has exceeded our expectations in all respects. Our son is cared for wonderfully. He has developed strong, close bonds with the staff, all of whom show brilliant attention and thoughtfulness during their time with him. He is given an excellent range of foods that he enjoys and the nursery has taken him on different trips and outings, which have engaged him. We are given regular mailshots of photographs of his days in the nursery and feel so proud of the progress he is making. Thank you very much to all of the team - you do amazing work and are a gift to the community!

Cannot recommend Ambourne House enough, my boy has attended since 9 months old and he is 4 in march. Roberta, Sarah and the team care so much about the children and treat them with such care and compassion. The Montessori aspect of the nursery instils so much confidence and independence in the children. They have such a great outdoor space and a great focus on activities alongside academics. I am so grateful we chose such a lovely setting for our little boy, we love it so much our baby will also be starting later this year.

We've been really pleasantly surprised and impressed with the exceptionally nurturing and professional approach we've experienced since our little one started at Ambourne House a few months ago. As first time parents we were quite apprehensive about starting at nursery but all the staff made the transition incredibly smooth and easy and our daughter settled in really quickly.

The baby room staff are wonderful and incredibly warm and attentive. The regular updates and visible progress they share gives us peace of mind that she feels safe and happy there. The Montessori-inspired environment and activities they do, whether inside, in their lovely garden or out and about, all seem well thought-out to support her development in the best way, which is wonderful to see and she clearly has a great time.

An amazing nursery with wonderful staff. From day one, our son has felt comfortable, happy, and supported. The team are caring, patient, and attentive, and they genuinely take the time to understand each child. We've seen such positive development and confidence in him since starting here. We're so grateful for everything they do .

When our daughter joined Ambourne House as a 13 month old in the baby room, she was very much attached to me almost clingy, she wont go to anyone other than her parents, she would scream at the sight of a big crowd. She was settled in very quickly and peacefully, Tina, Flora, Roxie, made sure of that. She became very independent, joyful and confident child. It's been 7 months now and she is in toddler room, every day she learns something new and her development is conspicuous. As parents, we can't recommend Ambourne House enough. I thank all of the staffs in the Nursery for taking good care of her.

Choosing a nursery can feel overwhelming, but from the moment I walked into Ambourne, I knew it was the right place. The atmosphere is calm, professional, and engaging. Both of my children began their journey here at 6 months old and stayed until they started primary school. My youngest only left last week, and we were genuinely sad to say goodbye. The care, support, and love shown to both of my children have been exceptional. Roberta and Sarah are outstanding managers, and I would recommend Ambourne without hesitation.

We moved our son there a year ago from another local nursery, and I only wish we'd done so from the start. Our son looks forward to going every day, and is always full of smiles in the morning. The staff are incredibly professional, caring, and inclusive. He adores all the members of staff - but has a special soft spot for one member of staff in particular, who he proudly calls his best friend! The team's warmth and positivity have helped him grow so much in confidence.

The manager, is clearly highly competent, trustworthy, and always positive and has created a well-organised and welcoming environment at Ambourne House.

Our son attended Ambourne Day Nursery for almost two years, and we couldn't be happier with the care and support he received during his time there. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly attentive, and nurturing, creating a safe and stimulating environment that helped our son grow in confidence and independence.

The team at Ambourne clearly care deeply about the children in their care. They took the time to understand our son's personality, interests, and needs, and kept us well-informed with regular updates on his development and daily activities.

We also appreciated the variety of activities offered-from creative arts and sensory play to outdoor adventures and early learning opportunities. It's been wonderful to see how much our son has learned and developed during his time there.

They also put on a lot of extra bits like sports / music / animals sessions.

We especially love the outside areas, the trips they go on and visitors they have in to extend their already great learning.

The staff at Ambourne are amazing. The attention to detail and care provided is amazing. I feel so confident leaving my child in the care of these lovely women. It's a home away from home for my child. Highly, hugely & happily recommend Ambourne to everyone.

I have seen my son develop in great strides since joining Ambourne. The staff genuinely care about him and you can tell they have strong relationships with all of the children. They provide an amazing environment for him to learn in, completing a diverse range of activities and providing extra curricular activities too.

The only thing that lets this place down is it does not have a separate sleeping space, half of the baby room is closed off with a room divider. It would be better for all the children if there were a separate sleeping areas with cots etc as my little one is currently sleeping in a travel cot and her naps are rubbish in nursery due to the disturbance coming from other side of the room divider. I viewed 10 different nurseries and this one was far better than the rest in terms of what they offer.

My child attended Ambourne House for a year now and I cannot speak more highly of this nursery. The staff are caring and friendly and professional and make the effort to create a nurturing environment. They offer a range of activities to help with learning and creativity. Communication is excellent between them and myself with regular updates on how my child is getting on within nursery and developing. I love that they have special days dedicated for you to come in and do activities with your child which makes it extra special to be welcomed in. I would highly recommend ambourne house to any other parent looking for a supportive, nurturing and caring nursery for there child
