Acorns is a wonderful nursery. My child attended Acorns when she was 10 months till 4 years, it has a fantastic outdoor space. The rooms have a fantastic setup and lots of fun-filled activity all day every day. The staff are very welcoming and the care for the children is of a very high standard. I would highly recommend Acorns to anyone who is looking for a nursery with a homely feeling to it. The feedback at the end of the children’s day is a very big comfort and you can tell all the children enjoy coming to nursery and that they have lots of fun.
I can't thank Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol enough for the care that the staff have shown my son. The staff truly know my son which makes going to work so much easier. The environment and garden space is more than I ever expected from a nursery setting.
Our son has been at Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol for two and a half years and our daughter started last week. Throughout our son's time, we have been extremely happy with the nursery and staff. Our daughter's start has reminded us how great the staff are to help children adjust and enjoy their time at Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol. The staff are caring and open. On a couple of occasions they have helped us agree a "strategy" of how to help our son together, when he went through a tricky phase, this has been very reassuring.
I cannot recommend Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol enough. I sent my oldest son here for all his preschool and now my younger son is attending, they both love it here. The staff are very attentive, caring and qualified. I have complete trust in leaving my son here. The resources are great and they have such a wide range available to them. My son always comes home exhausted after his full fun days here. The variety of food offered is always great and nutritious, there is always plenty of it as my son often has seconds. The outdoor space is versatile and there is plenty for all the children to enjoy and enough outside time through the day. From the beginning, I never had any hesitation that this nursery was where my children needed to be and I have never questioned my decision.
My son has been at Acorns Henbury since he was 12 months old - he is now nearly 3. He has absolutely loved it. The staff are great and truly care about the children. The rooms are lovely and there are lots of fun activities for the children. The garden spaces are a big hit with my son, and they get to go out in them as much as possible. They have coped with all the stresses that the last year and the covid pandemic has thrown at them, and it is has been well run and organised throughout. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Henbury Hill House Acorns is a fantastic nursery. Each member of staff is kind, caring and genuinely interested in providing the best care and education for the children. Activities are carefully planned based on the individual interests and development of the children and every day is varied with a combination of physical activities, music, imaginative play and sensory play. The building and grounds are excellent and inviting. My daughter settled very quickly at 10 months and has thrived over the past year. She looks forward to nursery and talks happily about the staff and her friends. Staff communicate exceptionally well with parents and carers. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.
Excellent nursery. Staff are friendly, experienced and great with the kids. Beautiful setting, excellent facilities and very homely. Good balance of structure, routine and free play. Supportive of kids with extra needs and good at tailoring activities tom interests of the child.
I knew that Henbury Hill was the right choice for my son as soon as I visited. He settled in very quickly which made my return to work so much easier. He's 16 months old now and enjoys such a fantastic range of activities which aid his development and learning. Both of his key workers have been so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I am so impressed with the level of care they provide and I can see that my son is very happy there and is growing in confidence every day.
I cannot speak highly enough of Acorns Henbury Hill. My older daughter recently 'graduated' from the nursery after three happy years in attendance, extremely well prepared for the transition to school. The care and attention of the staff over her time at the nursery led to huge developments in her confidence. Her younger sister has now attended the nursery for approximately ten months and over that time the staff have worked tirelessly to ensure she has become well integrated into the nursery and I have absolutely no qualms leaving her in their care. Although Henbury Hill could be considered a relatively large nursery, it is extremely personal; very early on I was struck by the fact that every member of staff knew my child's name despite her only attending the setting twice a week. I cannot praise the nursery staff enough, they all have a genuine passion for their roles and as such the care the children receive is exemplary. The spacious setting and facilities are a happy bonus!
I've been really happy with my daughter's experience at this nursery. The staff are friendly, there are a lot of daily activities and outside time.
The activities are very varied and have helped our son's development.
Whenever I've had a query with management, it has been dealt with efficiently.
This nursery comes highly recommended by lots of parents in our area and we are so pleased to have it local to us. Our daughter settled very quickly and I think this is a testament to the professionalism and welcoming nature of everyone at Henbury Hill House Acorns. Thank you!
Over the past few months, she has gained confidence and made good friendships.
The children's activities are always fantastic and are talked about all the home.
Thank you, Henbury.
High level of services, very friendly and qualified staff, variety of games and activities for the kids every day.
Both of our daughters have attended Acorns, Henbury Hill for the past 4 years and it has given them an excellent start in life.
Staff are genuinely kind and caring and do all that they can to help your child. The facilities are lovely, with a large outdoor space. Playtime is plentiful. Our children have especially enjoyed forest school, and often come home raving about the day that they have had! Our kitchen is full of 'art work' that they have made at Acorns. We are sad that they are off to 'big school' and have to leave Acorns - it really is an excellent nursery!
My grandson started at the nursery when he was 12mths old and settled in very quickly due to the calm experienced staff. He soon became a confident toddler who enjoyed learning and socialising which ensured he was ready for the transition to school. Myself and my daughter were extremely pleased with the wonderful care my grandson had.
This is a fabulous nursery, my godson has come on so much since going here, his speech is amazing and he surprises me every day with what he comes out with. His confidence has grown and he loves telling me all about the things he does in nursery. The Manager is fantastic, any problems and she gets to the bottom of it really quickly and she’s so helpful and lovely to talk to she’s a real asset. My godson loves her :) I am now looking at sending my own son there in a couple of months time.
Acorns have been amazing from day one. I currently have three children in their care, one which has additional needs and they have been accommodating, inclusive, understanding, caring and welcoming. The staff are all extremely friendly and have a genuine passion for childcare. The positive nature of the staff makes Acorns a lovely place for children to play and learn. The nursery is always clean and has a warm nurturing feel to it. The nursery always has themed days and the children produce art to bring home.
Putting your children in childcare can be scary and emotional, as a mother of three young children, one with additional needs and minimal family support, Acorns Henbury Hill have been brilliant, seeing my children happy and supported is priceless.
I find Acorns to be an excellent setting for my daughter. She has settled well there and has formed lovely bonds with the staff. It is evident that she gains a lot from being there. I notice a lot of things that I have taught her. I feel well communicated with by the staff.
I feel the nursery and all its staff thoroughly look after the children and have a genuine interest in their learning and well being.

Natalie has worked for Acorns since June 2008. Natalie loves watching the children grow and develop their own individual personalities. Her passion is being creative through stories, arts and crafts and role play and encouraging the children to express themselves in a variety of ways.
I started working for Acorns in May 2017. I enjoy building and construction with the children, especially enjoy watching the children problem solve when engaging in the activity.
I am currently completing a degree in early years and childhood studies, which I am really enjoying. I have a little girl who used to attend Acorns, she is now in school and in my free time I enjoy spending time with her and travelling.
