Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol

My child started here in December and immediately I felt at home at Acorns (Henbury).

The managers & staff that generally greet us at the door - particularly Mary, Natalie and Kristy - are so warm to both me and my child and I know he's in good hands.

Lots of my friends send their children here too and all have the same experience.

The staff at Acorns is more like a family to me. Each individual person makes a clear effort to connect with the children, each other and you as a parent. I personally enjoyed getting to know them during pick ups and drop offs and I always got a positive, engaged and switched-on attitude from everyone. There can be changes, observations and or questions that as a nervous mum one wants to make and the managers have always been there to discuss and make adjustments happen and or explain the context. My daughter was at Acorns since she was 11 months old until she was 3 years and a couple of months - and if we were not moving countries she would've stayed until preschool. I miss the staff, the smiles, the stories they would tell me of my daughters day and personality. They make Acorns a wonderful place. Special shoutouts to Natalie, Siobhan, Kristy, Mary, Lauren, Violeta, Manhar, Tracy, Ruby, Aneesha, Chloe, Savannah, Charlie, Leanne, the gardeners and the fruit delivery guy!!!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Acorns Nursery Henbury Hill.

Our son joined in February 2024 and moved to full time in August. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly understanding when we had to delay his official start date due to illness. That compassion and flexibility set the tone for everything that followed.

The staff are kind, supportive, highly skilled, and clearly experts in early years care and development. The activities are thoughtful, engaging, and genuinely lovely. The meals seem wholesome and nutritious.

Most importantly, our son absolutely loves his time there. He is happy, stimulated, and thriving. We never have any worries about the standard of care.

The culture, policies, and facilities are all excellent. The nursery has genuinely exceeded our expectations of what childcare can look like, and we feel very lucky to have them as part of our our support network.

We are really impressed by Acorns Henbury Hill and its friendly and supportive staff. Our little boy really enjoys his days at Acorns and has always done something fun. There's a variety of activities that have supported his development, and I feel safe in the knowledge that he is well taken care of. Acorns Henbury Hill is a fantastic nursery with caring staff, attentive managers and great facilities. The grounds are lovely with an exciting development with the new forest school site. My children love coming to nursery and all my concerns are heard and actioned.

The staff are friendly, helpful and open. My daughter is always excited to see them when I drop her off. They have a great building with lots of outdoor space and they always make an effort to come up with new and seasonal activities for the children to do. I feel they make a real effort to involve parents with daily updates, regular parent evenings and stay and play sessions.

Our son has been with Acorns Henbury Hill for nearly two years and it's the most wonderful place. The staff are absolutely lovely and our little guy adores them. The site is wonderful, large and airy and there is tons of outdoor space. They are out in the gardens in all weathers and there is so much to do. We used a different nursery for our first child and that was pretty good, but Acorns has been another level. The combination of the staff, environment, site and effort everyone there makes. We couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Very happy with Acorns. Aware of what other nurseries offer and appreciate the variety of experiences available to the children. Great debriefs at the end of each day and feel like the staff really care. Thank you.

Friendly staff who always have a smile on their face. Know all the kiddo's names. Personalised service. Very happy. A wide range of activities is offered to the kiddos. My only wish is that they spent more time outside, hopefully, they will now the weather is getting brighter.

We always get a detailed debrief of every day. It's a great nursery.

I never worry dropping my child off at Acorns Henbury Hill. He goes in with a smile and comes home with smiles. The staff are approachable and informative and the open door policy is very reassuring as a parent. The facilities are excellent and offer the children a wide range of activities.

My children have been attending Acorns at Henbury Hill since September 2022. I am really impressed with everything, the staff are enthusiastic, kind and exceptional with all the children. The activities they do are so varied and my children are really thriving.

This is the most beautiful nursery in Bristol, with best facilities and staff. My son settled instantly and loved going there from day one. It will always be my recommendation as number 1 in Bristol! Staff is brilliant in engaging with children and so caring, they have so many activities to offer, brilliant forest school, PE for pre-school, music activities and many other things. My son goes there with a smile on his face every day.

My child has been attending Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol since last January and he absolutely loves it. From the moment we stepped into Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol we felt that it was the right nursery for us. Our son immediately bonded with his key workers and he absolutely loves the daily routine and activities. Getting the observations throughout the week gives us insight into how he spends his time and all the lovely educational activities he takes part in. The staff and all the management team are really amazing and always so helpful and supportive. Both inside and outside facilities are awesome, the setting is always super clean and the meals provided are very healthy. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone! It's ten out of ten!

Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol is the best nursery I could choose for my little one. My son has been at Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol for almost four months and I feel so thankful for my choice. He started at nine months and I can honestly say its like his second home. The staff are so friendly, caring, kind and the management team has a huge smile and warm welcome every morning, they are always willing to respond to any queries you may have. The staff prepares a variety of activities for the children helping their development and learning through playing. The daily routine is so well organised, the nursery is always so clean and the facilities are excellent. My son seems to enjoy nursery and he is always very happy at the end of the day.

Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristole nursery is amazing, I was so worried about my 19 month old starting nursery last month but they put my mind at ease and we’re amazing. After looking at many nurseries it just didn’t feel right until I looked at Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol and just got such a warm, welcoming feeling and knew straight away this was the right nursery. Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol is a beautiful building with lovely big gardens, has lots of resources and provide great, stimulating activities for the children that you wouldn’t even think of. My daughter already talks about the girls in her nursery group. All the staff are so friendly, make you feel at ease and give great feedback and updates about my child’s day and development. I also love seeing the photos of her in nursery enjoying herself, she always comes home happy. So thank you to Acorns Henbury Hill, Bristol for this, if I have any more children in the future they will definitely be coming here without a doubt.
