Great nursery with supportive and caring staff. My son transferred after struggling in the previous nursery and has made significant progress since, almost a year now. Despite the tears every morning, delayed speech and challenging behaviour since he reached 'terrible twos" the staff has been caring
and understanding, supporting him while taking an individualistic approach, such as creating transition cards for him. We love the big garden and app where we can see what our son has been up to including pictures and videos.

Our daughter has been going to Kiddi Caru since last summer and she absolutely loves it, and the staff are amazing. Her key worker has been amazing and supportive. It's a strange thing leaving your child for a whole day at a time, but the support you get here is amazing, and its all built on transparency
and trust - the staff go above and beyond to make sure we are all looked after and we are so grateful. Thanks team.

My son has attended Kiddi Caru for 6 months now and has loved it from day 1. The staff are really nurturing and you can tell they adore working with the kids. I've been impressed with the activities they put on- from sensory trays, to sing and sign. I'm kept very informed with regular updates on what
my son has been up to, eaten, sleeping patterns and nappy changes. I enjoy seeing the photos on the app. Sometimes we also receive reports on their progress and invites to parents evenings or events. They often have themed days too which keeps it more exciting for the kids. The management is proactive in making improvements, the menu is great and all the children eat together, the toys and resources are all relatively new and incorporate different styles of learning including Montessori, is clean, and the garden is an amazing space with a separate area for the babies too. Overall I can highly recommend the nursery and will also be sending my daughter there in January 2026.

My daughter loves Mama Bears.
We are happy with the nursery too - the staff are all very friendly and have a good relationship with the children.
The menus are good and the app really helps to understand what your child has been doing through the day.

I have been taking my daughter to Mama Bear's Day Nursery in Downend for more than two years now, and I have to say that we are extremely happy with the service provided by the nursery. My daughter started attending it when she was only nine months old, and from day one, she has loved it. The staff
are professional and incredibly friendly, and they have always made us feel welcome. My daughter has learned so much during her time at Mama Bear's Day Nursery, and she has developed her skills and abilities in so many ways. The facilities at the nursery are excellent, with plenty of opportunities for children to learn and play in a safe and stimulating environment. The nursery is always tidy, and the staff are very attentive to the needs of the children.
Overall, I would highly recommend Mama Bear's Day Nursery in Downend to any parent looking for a high-quality nursery for their child. Thank you, Mama Bear's Day Nursery, for taking such great care of my daughter!

I’ve had a very positive experience with Mama Bear's. The staff are great, friendly and very attentive to my son. He loves going to nursery and always has a great day. The meals are nutritious and varied, as well the play and activities are varied.

Lovely nursery. We have been with them for over a year. Kind and nurturing staff, that engages with children through activities inside and outside in the garden. The staff at Mama Bears are amazing and go above and beyond to accommodate everyone. They build excellent relationships with the children in their care, as well as adapt their approach with the needs of each child. I would highly recommend this nursery.

The whole team at Downend Road have all been so good at settling my daughter into nursery, and just always so helpful. They always have information about the day when I collect my children. My daughter loves the nursery and always has a great day. She’s learnt a lot since being there and education seems to be done in a really fun way. My only issue has been the completion of the dinners and lunches. It would be really useful if the amount eaten was documented accurately. I’ve had times
where I’ve been told at the door that she’s not really eaten, but the parent app stated she has eaten all her meal.
Overall, really happy and love the fact all the staff seemed to get to know her really quickly.

Nursery was superb. Staff were amazing. Everything was recorded from sleeping to nappy change to what my children had eaten. They had a routine which both my children adapted to which they still use at home. My son wasn't all that keen on messy play to begin with but by the time he left to attend big
school, he loved messy play and also began to try different texture of foods. Thank you Downend Road.

Mama Bears Downend Road was fantastic! Both my son and daughter attended Downend Road. All the staff were amazing from baby room all the way through to preschool - my son naturally confident got on well with all children and absolutely adored the staff, he was a fussy eater until he started nursery
and now will try most things and I still believe this is due to the nursery, still to this day my son asks to visit the nursery to show staff his progress from big school. My daughter who's naturally a cling on adapted really well to the baby room and again into the preschool room she loved the massive garden area and made loads of friends. Again she loved all the staff. The team are outstanding! Thank you for making our nursery experience a pleasure.

This team at Mama Bears are amongst the friendliest bunch of people I've ever come across. They always have been, but it just keeps on getting better! My children are relaxed, happy and always eager to attend. Sometimes they don't actually want to leave! The manager and the team are doing a fantastic
job, I'm always kept up to date and informed on all aspects of their nursery life, no matter how big or small. They are welcoming, accommodating and accepting-but most importantly I trust them with my children's lives. I always get tearful when my children have to progress from this nursery, they thrive here! And in the most challenging of times (certainly in my life), I have found the nursery staff to go above and beyond normal expectations. This is standard for them! Thank you for all that you do, even more so in these uncertain times, you have never wavered and never fail to provide an exceptional level of care for my children. Thank you!

My daughter has been going to the nursery for the last several months and we have noticed a massive change in her progression, words and play already. She is a late talker, and all of the staff have been amazing with her, and are working specifically on her speech with her. She’s settled in very quickly,
considering she’s extremely clingy with me, but now she’s excited to go in the morning, happy for me to leave, and really enjoys herself.
The app is absolutely great too, with the regular updates and pictures of what she has been up to, and milestone progression grading, I cannot recommend the nursery enough, the staff are amazing.

My second son is in the pre school room of Mama Bear's Downend Road and he loves it. The nursery is a vibrant and happy place. The staff care well for the children and do such a large range of activities with them. Both of my boys have been happy and learnt lots from this setting. The staff communicate
well and any emails are responded to quickly. For me, the biggest selling point of this nursery is the incredible outside space that they have and that it is utilised by the children every day come rain or shine.
