The Old School House Day Nursery

I would recommend Old School House to anyone looking for a nursery where children thrive!

Very friendly and attentive staff, welcoming atmosphere, regular updates and always willing to help. Our son settled in quickly and is happy to be left, he enjoys the environment and seems content. I am happy with the service provided and would recommend The Old School House Day Nursery.

Both of my children attended Old School House Day Nursery, my youngest leaving in August 2024 to bring our nursery journey to an end. She began to settle into Old School House just after Covid, she didn't take well to the transition initially, we had many settle sessions to try and make her comfortable, which was really appreciated. I remember also informing Old School House of my daughters many allergies, which made weaning extremely difficult but it was never ever a problem and they catered to her requirements so perfectly which eased my worries. As she moved through the stages she was blessed with the most wonderful, fun and loving keyworkers. We received excellent parent feedback and left with special memories of staff and friends.

Fantastic nursery, our little one started back in January after we vetted the majority of nurseries in the area. This one was definitely the best that we saw. Really warm environment, great facilities and a fantastic team. The nursery is really well run, and all staff are brilliant with the kids and always engaging them in activities which will ensure they are ready for school and kept highly engaged throughout the day. My daughter gets up in the morning and is excited to go in to meet her friends, take on new challenges and my mind is at ease knowing she's always in the very capable hands of all of the team. The deputy manager and manager are also really helpful with billing queries and easy to speak with. I don't often do reviews but I would highly recommend Old School House Day Nursery to any other parents considering it as an option!

My daughter has been coming here for two years and it has been fantastic! she was diagnosed with a medical condition whilst attending this nursery that meant she needed specialist care. Her key worker and other members of staff volunteered to be visited by an NHS professional to train them in case emergency procedures need to be taken specific to my child. To simply be able to drop my daughter off and have peace of mind, knowing that they will look after my daughter as I would is priceless. She feels able to express her feelings and know who to go to if she needs someone. She has gained knowledge and skills ready for school through play. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. They are wonderful.

The old school house is an amazing nursery, both our boys have come here from the start, Every member of staff are all so friendly and lovely, they always greet you with smiles and our key workers for each room have always seemed genuinely excited to see each our boys when they come in. I always love hearing how they’ve been and what they’ve done that day, the staff always seem as excited as us when they tell us about funny things they have said or done. When my first left to start school I was so sad and will be even more upsetting when our second leaves for school in September.

My son moved to The Old School House last year and it’s been the absolute best move for him. The staff are friendly, competent and my son loves his key worker. They do such lovely things every day. The food is top notch and I wish I ate that well! Management is right there as you walk in so it’s super easy to speak to them if needed. All in all the vibe is relaxed and you feel confident your children are safe and having a great time. I wish we had been at this nursery from the beginning. Very highly recommend it!

I would not send my child anywhere else, but The Old School House Nursery!

I can’t rave enough about Old School House. We looked at a few for our girls, and I absolutely 100% made the right choice. They’re so happy and thriving at nursery, they love the staff and I feel happy dropping them off knowing how much they enjoy their days. They eat well there, they learn great social skills, and I will be so sad when they have to leave after more than 3 years. The best decision I ever made for my girls

We love the Old School House Nursery, which my daughter previously attended, and now my son is currently there. All the team are amazing, so friendly, helpful and clearly all really care for the children. They do so many activities and have amazing food too!

An excellent nursery with very passionate, engaging, and caring staff. Great outdoor facilities and lots of resources. Good communication and daily updates through portal. Management are approachable and prompt with responses.

My daughter absolutely loves it and I have no doubt that going to the nursery has contributed a lot to how ready for school she is. We’ve always felt really happy sending her there and are so glad our youngest will get to enjoy it too.

They have been amazing for my little one, always willing to go the extra to help her feel settled, safe and comfortable. She is developing so well and is learning all the key skills that will settle her into school life in the future

I have been sending my son to The Old School House Day Nursery for 7 months now and I can't explain how impressed I am with them. The management welcomed and helped me through so much before my son even started. They are such a friendly helpful bunch, I recommend this nursery to everyone I know. I feel my child is so safe and so impressed with how far he has come since starting here. His nursery nurse is such a lovely person and so patient, my child is always so happy to be there and absolutely loves the garden area. He has learnt to walk and talk whilst being here. This nursery is outstanding, the care and attention they give are above and beyond every time I walk through I am greeted with acknowledgement and smiles from all staff.

The Old School House Day Nursery have been outstanding in helping my son grow and achieve life skills he will carry with him forever. I cannot rate them highly enough the staff are always around to help, the food is varied and well received by my little boy and the activities they do keep him entertained every day

I find all the staff at The Old School House Day Nursery welcoming and loving to my son who attends. I love seeing what my son gets up to day to day and how much he enjoys his time spent there. The menu choices are always great and he always eats well too.

Incredible nursery. So much care and attention for our children and they are so happy in their care. We couldn't ask for more. The staff are so friendly and know the children like they are their own.

My boy has attended The Old School House Day Nursery for 3.5 years and my girl for 1.5 years. The nursery and all of the staff are outstanding. My children have been happy at the nursery from day one. Literally, only a few tears from both of them on their first days but thereafter, extremely happy. The staff have also gone that extra mile with us in assisting with behaviour management at home. Their care for the children extends beyond the hours of a working day. The professionalism and consistency of the staff has never come into question and for that reason, I have always recommended the nursery to others in our social network. My boy is almost ready to move on to primary school and I feel that his development and readiness for school is very much down to the routines and learning on a daily basis at the nursery. My girl has another two years at the nursery and I am 100% confident that her development will blossom in exactly the same way.

The Old School House Nursery is brilliant. The whole team have been super in helping my nephew to settle and he is always full of smiles when we collect him at the end of the day. I love how they plan little activities for him to help him progress and learn new things. It is honestly the best nursery around and I wouldn't want him to attend anywhere else.
