Spring Thorpe Hamlet offers a friendly and secure approach to early years learning at an affordable cost. Children aged from 3 months to five years are given the best start to life through early years provision.

The nursery is located in Norwich and offers 53 Ofsted-registered places for children aged from three months to five-years-old. The setting was assessed as 'Good' by Ofsted in March 2023.

A team of caring, friendly and qualified staff help each child develop at their own pace in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Staff plan activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and actively encourage parents to become involved in the life of the nursery.

The nursery is open from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and staff training days.

Lovely little nursery, we feel completely comfortable leaving our children in their care. We know that they will have a great time with lots of fun activities and learning. The staff are friendly and helpful and the key person system has worked really well for us.

A wonderful nursery full of exceptionally talented staff who really care about the children who attend the setting. Our children have benefited enormously from attending this setting. The staff are constantly looking for ways to improve their offering and actively seek to develop the children's interests.
Our son has complex allergies and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate his needs. My daughter also always says the nursery food is delicious!

Fantastic nursery. Lovely staff with a good family feel. Lots of engaging and educational toys and activities. In the toddler room, they have recently had a focus on space and really ignited a fascination with space in my son. Have recommended to several friends who have then sent their children and

My little boy has been here since September and I couldn't express how amazing they are with him. I have admitted my struggles with his behaviour and they have gone above and beyond to support me and him, he has come so far since being here and learnt so much! Couldn't fault the pre school room!

My son feels very comfortable and happy at the nursery here. Activities are led by his interests but incorporate a wide range of toys, games and crafts. My son is being well supported to prepare for school next year and really enjoys these learning times. The space is fairly small outside but has good
imaginative play toys to keep children engaged. Staff are friendly and communicate and interact well with my son and us at home.

My daughter has been coming to this nursery for a short period of time but she has already settled in.


The staff are lovely and patient. I don’t feel worried about leaving her for the day. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nursery.

My Son has been coming to this Nursery for a few months now and I can honestly say this is an amazing place to bring your children. I struggled for near on a Year trying to find a suitable and child-friendly nursery that my son would settle into. My son absolutely loves coming here to the point he asks
to go to nursery on his days off. The staff are brilliant, they always give detailed reports on what your child has done throughout the day, what their eating habits were like. I have always felt funny about leaving my son in places as I get worried he can’t tell me what’s going on or happening but I can honestly say this place makes me feel at ease. They are amazing! Thank you for taking care of my son xx

Both my children have attended nursery since they were 10 months old, they love nursery. Staff are very welcoming and encouraging. From day one I’ve felt the staff are child led and very flexible of each individual child. It is particularly great my boys can choose to play together despite being based

My daughter has been at Spring since she was 16 months old. She is there for 2 days a week and absolutely loves it and talks about it very positively. We have always been very pleased with the care she receives and the diligence of the staff, they are friendly and offer just the right amount of feedback,
advise and encouragement. The nursery sends us regular reports on her developmental progress there and general communication is excellent.
The only reservation I've ever had is the size of the outdoor space - it's on the small side and is not very natural. However, they make the most of what they have and their indoor resources are brilliant.

My son has been attending this nursery for the last nearly 2 years. He's had a rough time with personal issues and has been through a lot already but the nursery have seen amazing with him, especially the manager when really needed at a point in his life. This review is dated March 2018 but our little one has been attending the nursery since early last year when this nursery was run by a different group.
We have seen a change for the better in the overall running of the place and are now getting far better feedback than before. The setting is nice and
as clean as you'd expect with all the activities that go on, the outside play area has been updated and has different areas to play in.
The staff are friendly, engaging and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs.
Our little one enjoys going there and if the funding allowed we would think about another day.
