Busy Bees at Norwich Thorpe is a nursery that is committed to delivering high quality care and education for children from babies through to preschoolers.

At the nursery, children receive the upmost care and attention thanks to the caring team who are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young minds can flourish.

Working hard to provide a safe and stimulating environment, Busy Bees at Norwich Thorpe offers three spacious gardens that have been curated to spark children's appreciation and love for the outside world.

As part of its preschool program, the nursery presents engaging yoga sessions which provide children with a unique opportunity to participate in a physical activity that nurtures not only their bodies but also their minds.

Norwich Thorpe Busy Bees has been part of our three-year-old daughter's life since she was six month's old. Naturally, we were a little apprehensive at first but were welcomed into the family very quickly. The relationship we have with the centre is extremely good as is the most important one, between
our daughter and the team. She has a huge smile both at the start and end of every day she attends, which is enough for me to rest easy. She seems to be developing into a thoughtful and individual young girl and part of this is certainly down to the time she spends in the centre with other children and with the team.


On top of the above, we have enjoyed exceptional customer care and communication throughout. That said, it often leads to jealousy when reading the food menu for the day!


I would not hesitate in recommending the centre to others.

All of the ladies at Busy Bees at Norwich Thorpe are always very welcoming. Our daughter has a lovely bond with many of the activities. We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.

My little girl has been attending Busy Bees at Norwich Thorpe since 2015 when she was 3 months old. I have always been more than happy with the care they have provided and the whole learning spectrum. She has grown into a very bright, well mannered and outgoing child and a large part of this can be
accredited to Busy Bees. The staff are all very friendly and my daughter enjoys her time spent at nursery. She always enjoys the food which is both nutritious and made on site. The fees may not be the cheapest you will find but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and I think it is excellent value for money.

I'm very happy that I chose Thorpe busy bees.
Soon as you walk in you feel welcome all managers are very kind, staff and my child's key worker is very helpful, kind and caring I feel good leaving my child in safe hands like the nursery workers are lovely people and I can see that my child feels good

My child has been in the nursery since the age of 11 months. Throughout the whole journey from babies to now pre School, we have always felt his care & well being has been a priority for both the Management team & room teams.
Every member of the team takes an interest in my child's development while
ensuring he is happy & content from the moment he is dropped off.
The room managers have always been approachable & also willing to help with any queries we have had, whilst his Key workers have always communicated extremely well with both myself & my wife about any development needs that we could work on together, to enable his development to be linked together between nursery & home.
Parents evening have been very good, however, the most recent one was extremely good, providing a very balanced view of his development, while detailing the key activities & milestones to work on over the coming months.
The admin team have also been very efficient at dealing with any queries.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees Thorpe since she was 1 (now 2). We looked at various nurseries before deciding on this one and chose it because of recommendations from friends and the friendly "family feel" of the nursery. We also liked that each age group had its own garden with direct access to
the garden area from the rooms.
My, daughter can be a bit of a wuss and the staff have always gone out of their way to make sure she is happy. She always has a smile on her face on pick up and if you do have any concerns or issues they always take them seriously and resolve them straight away. As a demanding first time parent I would always recommend this nursery and always know my child is cared for not just on a clinical level but by staff that are really invested in the children.

Our daughter has been attending Busy Bees Thorpe for 2 years since she was 10 months old. We are very happy with the nursery and would definitely recommend it. It is a clean, pleasant and stimulating environment for children. It as good learning and play facilities and the staff are often very creative
with the children's activities. My daughter has always had a good attachment with the staff, in particular, her key workers as she has progressed through the rooms. They were extremely supportive with toilet training recently, as they have been with all her developmental needs. We always find the office staff to be accommodating and helpful. They offer a varied menu and have always been supportive with my daughters dairy allergy. Overall very happy with Busy Bees Thorpe.

My twins started at Busy Bees at Norwich Thorpe in May 2017 and the settling in process in the baby room made my transition back to work smooth and not as stressful as I imagined. The staff were professional throughout and got to know my children so well that they love coming to nursery. The online
journals are amazing and I love looking every night to see what they have been up to and the photos the staff take. It's great I can see what they have been doing using my phone. The staff helped with weaning and the meals provided are second from none, they eat better than I do!

My youngest has been going to Busy Bees for a few months now - I chose it mainly for location as it is very convenient for work. They have been excellent, staff are very friendly, seem to be very happy with the kids and my son loves going. The facilities are very good, especially the outside area which
is fantastic for a city based nursery. The food is great, varied and healthy. The nursery has a light friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend it to other parents.

We have been using this nursery since my eldest son was eleven months old. We have been delighted by how well he has been cared for and the progress he has made. The staff are professional but friendly and warm. The management are approachable and pro-active. The on-site meals are delicious and nutritious.
We are so pleased with this nursery that we have recommended it to several friends and we have enrolled our second son for when I return to work from maternity leave. I urge you to visit and meet the staff.

My son seems very settled at nursery and has progressed loads recently. He's been visiting the 2-3's room where he will start soon and seems to love it.
Over the summer there was a lot of outside play which was very good and we've been getting a lot of painting, pictures, cakes and biscuits made by
the children home recently too.

Leaving your child in the care of others is a hard thing to do which is why I am so pleased I chose this nursery. The staff are so friendly and caring, I feel very reassured my daughter is in safe hands. In addition, the quality and variety of food served is superb and the outside space is brilliant.
It is not just a place for my daughter to be while I am at work, I know she is gaining many skills and learning so much while she is there.

Both my children attend Busy Bees at Thorpe and have done since they were 14 months old. The staff are great and have formed strong bonds with both my children, who thoroughly enjoy attending.
Once I drop them off in the morning, I have complete peace of mind that they will be fine and when I pick
them up, they will have had a day full of variety and learning. Both children are very confident and outgoing and I do feel that this is a reflection of how supported and cared for they are whilst in the teams care.
I would and have recommended them to friends and colleagues. I viewed several nurseries before selecting Busy Bees and I felt they stood out to the rest.
The food is amazing and both children love it and are encouraged to experiment with new foods and flavours.
Busy Bees use parent zone so I can see updates in the day about what they are up to.

I have been so impressed with the care, warmth and enthusiasm that is shown by the manager and all staff from the day I first viewed the nursery. It's a big step sending your LO for the first time and I have always felt their priority was the children. It is a very friendly child focused nursery and
seems to always strive for further improvements. Fully recommended.

My name is Hollie Spence and I am the Centre Director here at Busy Bees, Norwich Thorpe.


I started my journey within Busy Bees Nurseries in January 2011 at Norwich Thorpe. Since this time, I have worked my way from Relief Practitioner to Centre Director within Busy Bees Nurseries. I completed a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood studies and have since completed my Early Years Teacher Status.


As Centre Director of Norwich Thorpe, I am committed in providing high quality childcare in a safe and stimulating environment and ensuring all children receive the best start in life. The incredible team here at Thorpe, are long standing and are truly dedicated to their roles within our centre.
