The Maltings Day Nursery

Both of by children have attended The Maltings and my daughter is now in the preschool class. I have the utmost respect for The Maltings Day Nursery staff. They consistently display a professional, friendly and caring approach. The staff are always approachable and ready to discuss how things are going with my daughter. It is clear that the management team take pride in leading a great team and establishment. The evidence based written reports compiled throughout the year are comprehensive, informative and a fabulous record of their time at nursery. The activities that my daughter takes part in appear to be fun, educational and well thought through. I'm always impressed by the amount of time that is spent outside, come rain or shine. I have seen that the staff at The Maltings are well trained and put the safety of the children in their care first. I would not hesitate in recommending The Maltings to prospective parents.

My son is 2 years old and has been at The Maltings for approx. 5 months now. The nursery staff are amazing so caring, friendly and very interested in the children’s development. My son's learning has come on leaps and bounds in their care and he enjoys his time there. The weekly newsletters are full of information and pictures and a joy to receive and you can see all the hard work that they put into planning the day’s activities. Would definitely recommend without a doubt.

My son has been attending The Maltings Day Nursery for over 3 years and we have been extremely happy with the nursery. The staff and facilities are wonderful and it really is a home from home. I am completely reassured that my son is in the best care while I am at work and the range of activities on offer is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they encourage the children constantly and introduce a great variety of activities to help the children grow in confidence, help others and enjoy their time at nursery. Outdoor activities feature highly in the schedule and the forest school activities offered at The Maltings are loved by my son and time and effort is spent with each of the children while they explore and learn new skills. The food on offer is wonderful and the children often get to bake some food and even grow some food in their garden.

The Maltings Nursery is a very welcoming and nurturing environment with friendly and approachable staff who are always enthusiastic about the children.

The Maltings Day Nursery is an amazing place, my two children have attended over the past five years and it goes from strength to strength. Their attention to detail and relationship with the children is brilliant and I feel that my eldest was very well prepared for the transition to school when he started (my youngest still attends Maltings) The inside and outside learning spaces are excellent, they promote forest school, and all weather play. Music and movement is regular, and learning is promoted in every activity they do. I can't praise this nursery high enough, and I shall be very sad to leave it when my youngest starts school in September!

Having a son that loves being outdoors, the forestry school and daily outings make me know he will enjoy his time there and possibly will have more fun than when he is stuck at home with me.

Very happy with the range of activities. My child is always happy. Good, regular trips out and lots of time outside. Flexible breakfast club is very helpful.

Staff are always warm and friendly, they always have a wide variety of activities planned and the food is great. They keep you very well informed of everything that’s going on and provide meal plans a recipes. Staff also take particular notice of children’s individual needs and helped draw up a plan to help my son with his speech. They came up with a plan for his time at nursery but also gave us advice on what type of things we could do at home with him to help. Cannot praise them enough.

My 3.5-year-old son has been going to this nursery since he was 7 months old and he loves it. The staff are really friendly and the level of care is excellent. I recommend to everyone.

My son has been attending the nursery for 4 months now as has a wonderful time. He was always upset when I left him but the staff cared for him and he always has had a great time when I collect him. I am confident that he is safe and well looked after while attending.The feedback I receive after each visit (and termly) is above my expectations. All the staff are very attentive to any questions I have had.

Both my children attended the Maltings Day Nursery from around 6 months of age. I am extremely satisfied with the care they have received here. The staff are wonderful and know all the children really well. The turnover of staff is low. The environment is just what you would want from a nursery, homely and with plenty to keep the children occupied and stimulated. My children always claim they have fun at nursery when asked at the end of the day.

The children spend a lot of time playing outside in the fantastic garden, my eldest daughter was particularly fond of the mud kitchen. The nursery provides home cooked lunches and teas every day cooked by the nursery's own chef. The nursery is excellent at catering for vegetarians and children with allergies or food intolerances.

Childcare is expensive everywhere, however, the quality of care my children have received at The Maltings makes it is good value for money.

My son has been attending the Maltings Day Nursery full time since he was 10 months old and is now in the pre-school room. He absolutely loves his time at nursery and is always keen to tell me all about his day in the evenings. The Maltings staff have catered for my son and his developmental style throughout all stages and he is, I'm sure, more healthy, happy, engaging and sociable as a result of his time there.

They are incredibly supportive of routines at home and making sure that home and nursery are not too separate which I think is very important. I am kept up to date with everything my son does and his development, on a daily basis but also via the parents evenings and a folder detailing his progress. There is a big emphasis at the moment on preparing him for school in September, which is fantastic and I've no doubt will allow him to transition more easily. I really couldn't ask for more!

My son currently attends preschool at The Maltings and has benefited hugely from the wonderful care and attention provided by the nursery's dedicated staff. His key worker really understands his abilities and interests and utilises them to both advances his learning and make him feel safe and cared for. As parents, we are always kept fully informed of activities, schemas and other general issues that are going on in preschool and it is our opinion that the nursery is managed highly efficiently and effectively. My son has developed socially as well as educationally during his time at The Maltings and has formed strong friendships that have been nurtured by the nursery staff. I never hesitate to recommend The Maltings to other parents and it will be very sad to say goodbye when my son leaves for school this September.

We currently have two children attending the nursery and both absolutely love the setting. The staff are always very welcoming and fantastic at making the children feel at ease. I cannot fault the service they offer.

My daughter started here at 2 and is now 4 and getting ready to move on to big school. We have been more than happy with this preschool and would highly recommend it. All the staff are very friendly and approachable and go the extra mile for the children. The food is excellent.

There is lots of free play but also a structured plan for topics to cover each week which makes learning and exploring new things fun. The outside play area has also recently been refurbished. We receive excellent feedback from the staff on our children’s progress with written reports and parents evenings. Overall, a wonderful local facility.

The activities are designed to encourage the children in all aspects. It is often done outside and they are also taken off-site on quite regular occasions.

Both of my children have attended The Maltings Day Nursery.

My daughter is currently in her last year there before school, and it will be with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to the fantastic team that makes The Maltings such a wonderful place.

The kids have loved their time at nursery, there is plenty for them to do both in learning and play, the environment is secure, clean, safe and the staff are attentive and approachable.

I couldn't recommend The Maltings highly enough, it has been a very important part of my families life in these crucial early years of development.

My child loves his time at nursery. He has been attending The Maltings since he was 5 months old and has settled in so well that it's more like his second home. He loves the staff, the food (!) and the range of activities on offer. He loves being outside, so the space to play is really important. The staff take time to understand his particular interests and use these to help him develop and learn.

He's such a happy child and I'm sure this is in part due to the excellent care he receives at The Maltings. My daughter also attended The Maltings from the age of 6 months and loved her time there. When she was in pre-school, they prepared her so well for the transition to school that she settled in brilliantly and very quickly. I would always recommend The Maltings Day Nursery to others (and have done in the past).

I couldn't be happier with The Maltings Day Nursery. Staff members are welcoming, kind, caring and excellent at their job! During a particularly difficult phase for my daughter, the management staff, and all involved with her care, went above-and-beyond to support her – and reassure me – in every way possible. My daughter loves going to nursery every day and her confidence is continuing to grow tremendously.

Staff and children (and parents/guardians) get to know each other really well as the nursery is 'small and friendly' and there is always a member of the management team available to speak to. The emphasis on outdoor activities and learning, plus the 2 days of forest school per week are assets of this fantastic nursery.

My eldest daughter, now 7 attended this nursery and we loved it then. My daughter, aged 2 attends this nursery now and we love it more! The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to our little ones. They are always striving to better the children's environment and daytime experiences and with always receiving daily feedbacks. I would highly recommend this nursery as have left both my babies from 6 months onwards to continue at work and they made the heartbreaking transition much easier and I felt fully confident they would be the best option for my little one and would give 100% best love and care.
