The Maltings Day Nursery

We have used The Maltings Day Nursery for the past 6 years with both of our children. We have found them to always be professional but friendly at all times. The children love to go there. They learn and have fun through a very structured and varied daily plan. We are extremely well informed. My children also attend a school pre-school which is good by far behind The Maltings. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and my children never want to leave there! Wonderful environment! Wonderful team!

The Maltings Day Nursery has been excellent. The staff are warm, caring and professional and the activities are really varied and engaging with strong educational value but also great fun. For example last week the pre-schoolers made a volcano using cardboard tubes they painted, then did a science experiment to make the volcano erupt (using vinegar and baking powder I think). My daughter gets a lot out of her days there and has really blossomed and developed her social skills, as well as channelling her creativity through singing, drawing, painting and storytelling.

The standard of care at The Maltings is exemplary. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that your child is well cared for. I have recommended The Maltings to a number of friends who are also equally delighted with their child's experience there.

I'm excited for when my daughter goes to preschool (I love how all the rooms have a chance to mix, with our daughter knowing all the staff) and we'll be genuinely sad when she leaves. The highest praise we can give us seeing the joy our daughter has when going to The Maltings.

Both my son and daughter have attended the Maltings Day Nursery and I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I have always felt comfortable leaving my children at the Maltings. My children have enjoyed the nursery rooms and are stimulated with the various activities and love the opportunities to go outside.

Often the key workers support the parents with things that we are working on at home, toilet training, sleeping in own bed, preparing to become a big sister to name a few. We particularly like the outside space that the nursery have which allows the children to run around and explore the different areas. They provide a nice home from home environment which was essential to us when our daughter started there at age 13 months. Our son will also attend the nursery later in the year. We would recommend the nursery to our friends

We love The Maltings Day Nursery and so does our nearly 3 year old son. We relocated last year and had to change our son's nursery. The staff at The Maltings did all they could to ensure that not only did he settle in quickly and easily, they also got to know him well very soon after he started. The children take part in a variety of activities - our son loves playing outside in the all weather garden. He also enjoys the trips out on the nursery bus into town or to the river to see the ducks. Overall we can't fault the care provided by The Maltings Day Nursery.

We have both our children attending Maltings for a couple of days each week. All the staff that I interact with are extremely professional, but also friendly and approachable. The children are always welcomed into the nursery and as parents we get a great debrief at the end of the day. The children's activities are fresh and interesting; we appreciate the emailed plan for the coming month and weekly news letter. The parents evenings, though limited in time, are an extremely useful contact point to discuss details of the children's development. The file that is kept recording each child's activities and observation is an impressive record and illustrates the dedication of the staff. The nursery always appears clean and well equipped. We have been impressed by the recent investment in the outside play area. My son really enjoys this.

All of my three children have attended the Maltings from around 7 months onwards. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Monthly activity themes and daily activities. Always play outside come rain or shine in fabulous outdoor space newly refurbished. Wonderful freshly cooked meals on site every day by amazing cook. I wouldn't change a thing. Good value too.

My son enjoys nursery and I attribute this to the friendly and approachable staff who know the children well. The nursery is well run and makes an effort to provide interesting and themed activities to engage the children and get them to participate.

We are so pleased we moved our child to The Maltings Day Nursery. The staff are extremely friendly and our little boy loves going in each morning to see his friends! Seeing our son develop and grow in confidence with new skills he is learning is testament to the great work the staff at the Nursery do!

Great facilities and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Daughter sometimes having so much fun that she doesn't want to come home. Impressed with the variety of activities and adventures the children participate in.

Both of our children attend The Maltings and thoroughly enjoy going every week. The staff are all approachable and friendly and you feel comfortable knowing that your children are well cared for and having lots of fun. The facilities are excellent and activities are regularly planned to ensure that all children's interests are included. We would recommend this nursery to any parents who are looking at childcare provision in the Ely area.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery, I believe the nursery has been integral in my sons development.

My daughters love going to The Maltings. Everything about it is excellent, from the managers who are visible and welcoming, to the staff who are brilliant to the food and the environment. The staff are clearly encouraged to be creative and they rise to the challenge with ideas to interest and entertain the children and never lose sight of the need to have fun and enjoy yourself. All of this is conducted in a safe and caring environment.

Both of my children have attended this nursery and my son currently attends the pre school class. It is a hugely supportive environment for the children and my son continues to progress very well in all areas. Best of all he always looks forward to it and tells me about everything he has got up to during the day. They staff give excellent daily reviews in person and also always offer additional time of you want to discuss anything. My son has a wonderful set of friends here- with many birthday parties for you to attend now! The team here clearly work extremely hard to provide this wonderful experience, thank you!

We are very pleased with the nursery since our baby started at the age of 6 months. The staff are very caring, genuine, gentle and positive with the children. They communicate very well amongst themselves, as well as with us as parents and are very well supervised at all levels. They have been flexible so that we can keep our baby's routine, such as nap times. The staff know the names of all the children in the nursery, even if they do not look after them directly. They are safe and conscientious about things that matter, not simply ticking boxes for the sake of it. We have found them to be very honest if there has been an incident such as a fall. The food is varied and healthy. The nursery space is smaller than some other nurseries, but that means that the children are never out of sight. We go to work knowing that our little one is being looked after well, doing lots of activities and learning to socialise. We feel that we and nursery are a team looking after our baby.

We could not be happier with the service provided by The Maltings! Our daughter just loves going and she is always happy and smiling when we pick her up each evening. The staff are warm and friendly and the range of activities they provide for the children is amazing. We feel so lucky to have got a place there and cannot recommend it highly enough!

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. The key workers take time to get to know their children, allowing them to provide the most relevant care for that child. My son is a very active little boy with a curiosity for all things and I can see from his general well being and enthusiasm to go to nursery each day that he is thoroughly stimulated in this environment.

I especially like that they take the children out of nursery, with trips to nearby attractions, which is very important for us since my son attends nursery on a full time basis.

This nursery is fantastic. I am always impressed by the range of activities that is provided. My child always looks forward to going to nursery and enjoys all the varied activities that take place. The staff are great and know my child well.
