Bright Horizons Bunnybrookes Day Nursery and Preschool

We’re so grateful to the staff at Bright Horizons Bunnybrookes for the excellent care and support they provide for our son. He settled in quickly (much more quickly than expected!), has made great friends with the other children as well as the staff and is happy to attend every day. We especially appreciate the focus on learning and development and regular progress reports, which have provided valuable insight during this time when we cannot enter the building or interact as much with the staff day to day. A big thank you to the team!

My daughter has thrived since joining the nursery. She absolutely loves going and is a lot more independent. She enjoys spending time with her friends there. The teachers are kind and approachable. The back garden is an added bonus for outdoor activities.

I highly recommend Bunnybrookes. Our son has been there since 11 months old. We see children communicating articulately, interacting confidently with everyone and loving books, drawing, craft and all kinds of play. The well-trained staff are passionate, positive, inclusive and well-loved by all. Individual activity reports are recorded for each child. Displayed outside each room is an impressive range of activities - the children cannot possibly get bored. The large outdoor space to the side of the building has an excellent range of play and learning equipment. Weather-permitting, the children go outside a couple of times per day including during the shorter winter days. Three varied and tasty daily meals are provided. Safeguarding is good with all accidents, illnesses and treatments recorded, notified by phone when necessary and signed off by parents. Access to the building is through several key-code doors.

The only real downside is that the garden isn't directly connected to the nursery building, but the children still spend a lot of time outside.

Excellent in every way. The staff are fabulous, great activities and learning for the kids. Food is fantastic.

The food is also another great part of this nursery, they provide exciting meals for the children and the cook staff are also firm favourites for my son. Overall, I cannot fault Bunnybrookes and my son absolutely adores it.

We will miss them when she leaves to go to school next September.

Great hours to fit around working times. Staff always happy and responsive and really attentive towards the children. Great activities and let kids be kids! Lovely having food prepped and given to them so parents don’t have to think about it, and encouraging to hear that my child will eat different foods at nursery which he may not have at home. Very happy with Bunnybrookes, my daughter started very shy and didn't speak much when there, now she is in the preschool room she is very confident and enjoys going to nursery, she has made friends and talks about the nursery nurse team in preschool. 2 of my other children also attended Bunnybrookrs and they also enjoyed their time there.

My 2 children have been very well looked after at Bunnybrookes. They have always developed good relationships with their key workers and other children in their rooms. It is so convenient to have a nursery at the hospital too.

My eldest starts school in September and I know she is going to miss her teachers very much and the fun they have together. They have gently guided her through preschool and prepared her for her next step.

Love the daily reviews that tell me what he's been up to and always love days with pictures attached - always smiling!

Our daughter has been going to Bunnybrookes for the last three years. The care and attention the staff have shown to her over this time have been amazing. She is very happy at the nursery and has lots of friends that she will miss as she moves to school this September. The staff have been really good at helping her to adjust to this, and she's told me on multiple occasions that she will have some new friends when she goes to school.

She is challenged to pursue her interests and plenty of other activities besides. I was amazed recently when she started putting me in the recovery position - thankfully just practising but also somewhat reassuring.

We have been sending our daughter here since May 2016 and she has loved every moment of it. She has gained so much confidence since being there. The rooms are always clean, the staff are so friendly and polite.

The reviews we get each day when we pick her up are informative about what she has been doing along with whether she ate her meals etc. It also helps us with choosing activities for her at home as we can concentrate on something new she may have learned from nursery.

She eats better than we do at home! The meals sound amazing and she tends to eat it all so we don't have to worry about dinner time when we get home for her.

The only slight negative is the garden. She gets a lot of time to play outside, which we love the idea of, but it needs improving. I have heard on the grapevine that this may be getting 'revamped' so if this was to take place I'd up the rating to an Extremely Likely recommendation. I'm a strong believer in outdoor play so it's an important part for us.

Lovely nursery, my son is very very happy there and comes away with all sorts of tales and crafts! The staff all love him and he loves them.

My daughter has attended since she was 1 and will finish in August to start school. We have been very happy with her care there. She loves the preschool room and it does feel very much like the other children and staff are her extended family. Many of the staff have been there during her time there and all the staff seem to know her by name. They are always attentive to individual needs. I have been particularly impressed with the preschool room, she is having great fun while she is learning.

We will all be sad to leave!

My daughter has attended this nursery for nearly a year now. She settled down quickly and is extremely happy there. The staff are very welcoming and keep me updated with my daughter's whole daily activity, which is great. They prepare fresh food every day and make sure the kids eat it. They organize the kids day very well, in a manner that they won't get tired or bored. Every evening they organize the Kids room and wipe clean the toys for the next day. I am amazed at the staff patience, kindness, enthusiasm and their daily paperwork for the kids' record books. As a parent I feel very happy for my daughter learning in a healthy environment and I strongly recommend this nursery.

Our son and his key worker have a fantastic relationship and we couldn’t ask for anyone better for him.

All staff are excellent in their communication with us about our son's progress and regularly offer meetings to discuss his development and what his learning needs are.

We are provided with photos of our son's day which is lovely to see and make a great keepsake for us to have. Our son receives a varied day between activities and garden time and we are amazed at the learning activities provided by staff.

We can’t thank the staff who care for our boy enough. All the staff show their care and compassion on a daily basis and it’s clear they love working with the children.
