Brilliant nursery, I would always recommend. It has done wonders for my son's speech, confidence and interaction. All members of staff are always very friendly, helpful and happy. My son absolutely loves going to nursery and is always happy to go in and is always excited to tell me about his day.

Fantastic setting, my daughter adores this nursery! She's been going since just 5 months old, there's just so much for them to do there - whether they're still tiny like she was when she joined or now at 18 months! Lots of lovely artwork is brought home, it means I can leave the messy play to the nursery and enjoy the less messy play at home :)
They use the outside play areas all year round, my daughter especially loves to play in the sandpit! The nursery provide an excellent variety of food, all hand prepared and home cooked - it smells divine!!

All members of staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable, they go above and beyond to ensure you're happy with their services. I would not hesitate to recommend Green Roots!

Overall Experience
Wonderful nursery, can't fault it at all! All staff are well trained, informative, friendly and above all caring and nurturing towards all children. My son loves going to nursery and I love seeing his progress online knowing that he is having an enriching developmental time whilst being cared for at the highest level. Green Roots is a welcome addition to Southbourne and the parents living here and surrounding!
My friend travels from her home in Portsmouth specifically to send her daughter here after my strong recommendation of the nursery and staff. Very pleased that my son will carry on here until he starts school.

The only thing that could make Green Roots any better would be school drops/collects WAC to include older siblings.

Overall Experience
Green Roots is an amazing setting. Both my children have attended and one is still there. The staff are friendly, professional and very caring. The facilities are the best I have seen anywhere. The food is out of this world. My children love it at Green Roots and my eldest misses it terribly.

I would highly recommend it to anyone and I always do! The children can go to beach school, go to local places of interest, do gardening, meet people of different professions (dentist/fireman) and learn Spanish and dancing. It is great value for money and definitely prepares them for school with their learning programme. I love it.

Overall Experience

We have used a variety of childcare settings and Green Roots is by far the best. My daughter started at nearly 3 and will be moving up to school this September. She has adored the amazing garden facilities, the pre school focus on starting gently to do numbers and phonics and the incredible craft activities that happen daily. My son has been going since he was 4 months and I have always felt super confident in the care the baby room have given him from this young age. They have a brilliant onsite chef as a permanent staff member so the kids are basically fed healthy restaurant standard food for every meal and snack which is a major plus point. The babydays system is great as is the web cams in the parent area (and the coffee!). The main difference to many childcare settings is that ALL the staff are always smiling and happy, they seem motivated and engaged in their work place to a level that is of a real credit to the owners.

Gemma Lawson

I was delighted to open Green Roots Nursery in September 2013. I’ve always been passionate about childcare and I wanted to set up a nursery that was exceptional in terms of the nurturing care and attention that it gave to the children and also the service that it provided for parents. As an accredited Child-minder for many years, I learnt the importance of understanding each child’s individual needs and the benefits of providing each child with the opportunity to have real life experiences and be active indoors and out.

As a parent of young children myself I recognise the challenges of trying to balance all aspects of family life and we’re determined to help all of parents with this by making things as easy and convenient as possible.
